August '21 Due Dates

Hi!

I got my BFP a few days back (well a lot of BFPs as I'm a POAS addict) and my due date is likely to be early August 2021.

Any other ladies out there with similar exciting news in need of chat and support in these strange times please jump on board!

@LunaorJack95 we don't get choice, in Scotland you get one scan at 12 weeks then one at 20 and that's you haha. Iv booked a private scan for weeks 8 and 10 though. High chance I will book another private just before due date to check position as my friend had a back to back labour and it sounded horrible!

@Cornflake24 I’m in south east England, you only get two scans here too the same as you, one at 12weeks one at 20. Obviously you get more if there are any issues etc

@Cornflake24 fair play, I may have to do the same for peace of mind as I have PCOS and read this can increase the risk of miscarriage/complications. Best to be safe isn't it x

@Mumtoalittlegirl I've told all of my immediate family - dad already knew I was trying and OH told his mother as we don't currently live together and I'm out of work (long story) so we're going to need all the support we can get! X

I can confirm back to back labour is brutal! Of course I have nothing to compare it to, but I was begging for my epidural at 3cm and completely lost control.

At my birth plan appointment I vaguely remember the midwife telling me to try to turn her with some positions but I didn’t understand how seriously it would impact labour. No one even informed me what was happening so it all felt very out of control. It’s really scared me as I don’t want to go through that again. Literally from week 30 I will be on my hands and knees all day- no way am I letting this little one turn back to back!

@Mumtoalittlegirl we're not telling anyone until the 12 weeks scan if we can get away with it. I want to get the bloods back to make sure things are OK, assuming we get that far. I don't usually believe in luck but I'm quite superstitious about it for some reason

I tested on day of missed period, due date is 6th august (going on LMP)!
Think I’ll wait til 6 weeks to phone midwife!

@LunaorJack95 that food looks so good! I've just done the food shop and bought a load of healthy food! Butternut squash, spinach, satsumas to name a few 🤣

Have you got a choice of hospitals near you then? I believe I will have the choice of three... maybe more!

I wish it was 8 weeks! Something tells me it will be longer though. I just hope partners can come to the scans 🤞🏻

Thankfully I don't have any nausea yet, just sore nipples/boobs and all the bloaaaaat.

Don't be fooled it was delicious and healthy but was followed by a vegan pukka pie and home made wedges then two large chips and veggie dippers from McDonald's shortly after. H e l p 😂

Yeah I think I read on another thread that scans are happening even later due to covid delays. Fingers crossed they get us in ASAP 🤞🏽

I'm having trouble sleeping because of the nausea and really hope the bean isn't suffering too much because of it 😫

@Smushty14 yes got a choice of two that are nearby, not the best but I'm not fussy tbh! X

The weirdest thing happened earlier! I was at my Mum's for dinner as I've been doing the shopping for her every week (don't worry we are bubbles together as she is on her own) and I said about how tired I was even though I would quite happily sleep for like 12 hours straight.

She turned round and point blank asked if I was pregnant 🙈

Talk about awkward!!! I just laughed it off as we haven't told anyone I'm off the pill and I'm not sure she bought it....

Ah well she will find out in 8 weeks! Maybe 3 if I can get an early scan in

So, ladies, crazy test taker here..

It looks to me like the test I've taken this morning (last on the right) the vertical line seems weaker than the others but the horizontal line is thicker..am I reading into nothing? Can't wait to take my CB digital 😫

How is everyone doing today? I’m feeling really sick today! Hoping it settles down. Normally does after something to eat but just had some buttered toast and now I feel even worse!

@ItsPrincesspeach my nausea has hit hard today and I'm exhausted, struggling to keep my eyes open at work

@ItsPrincesspeach I can't work out if I'm nauseous or hungry 🙈 I feel shattered by the end of the work day but other than that I'm doing okay. I hit week 5 tomorrow so perhaps it'll come in full force over the next few weeks x

@LunaorJack95 ahaha your food choices make me laugh 🤣 so far I'm not doing too badly with eating but I'm sure that will change.

When are you taking your digital?

Does anyone else track their RHR? Mine has shot up again 🤣 I really should stop paying attention to it though or I will freak myself out

@Smushty14 my resting heart rate is forever going up and down but it has increased from the start of the month. I'm already such a worrier so I'm trying not to focus on it too much xx

Abbreviations
RHR - resting heart rate?
CB - ?
BFP - big fat positive?
OH - other half?
PCOS - polycystic ovary syndrome
POAS - pee in a stick
AF - aunt flow
EDD - estimated delivery date
MC - miscarriage
MN - ?
CP - ?

@LoulabelleSunflower I get lost with all the abbreviations too, I have no idea what some mean.
MN- Mumsnet
CP - I think this is chemical pregnancy
BFP - definitely big fat positive

Not sure what CB is though x

@LoulabelleSunflower I'm not sure if CP is chemical pregnancy or cervical position 🤣 And CB clearblue? otherwise I think those are all right.
