Hello :) I think I will just lurk on here for now rather than FB. I use the groups feed a lot on mobile and I keep having random groups my friends are in showing up on there so I'm a bit paranoid about it
Anyway - got a surprise BFP on Sunday night as I was supposed to be starting a trial of some new medication on Monday, and just thought I'd check before I started it.
We have been sort of trying (not temping, tracking ovulation or anything) since DS2 was born 2 years ago, because DH has a genetic condition that means we have higher chance of miscarriage/chemical pregnancy. Absolutely no sign until now, so I was very very surprised but happy! 3 years is a brilliant gap!
Still feeling very cautious about this one at the moment, but optimistically so. The line on the cheapie test was strong, so I did a digital this morning (first digital ever!) which has come up at 2-3 weeks.
DS2's birthday is August as well so if all goes well they will be very close dates. He will be 3 in August. I also have a 12yo so newborn + 3yo + teenager sounds fun :o bring it on!
We live in Germany so the pregnancy care system is a bit different here. I will be seeing my lovely gynaecologist on the 21st who will perform all of my care right up to the birth when I'll go into hospital and be seen by midwives on a rota, like the UK system :) my last birth was back to back as well (and possibly DS1 - but it's so long ago I don't know) so I will absolutely be in the all fours corner with the rest of you. Definitely want to avoid that happening again. I should be able to have midwife support/care as well before the birth, but last time I wasn't fast enough registering with one, so I plan to contact one as soon as I've had my appointment on the 21st if I get to see a heartbeat.
