Hi!

I got my BFP a few days back (well a lot of BFPs as I'm a POAS addict) and my due date is likely to be early August 2021.

Any other ladies out there with similar exciting news in need of chat and support in these strange times please jump on board!

@AbbeyBelfast yep feel totally the same! Hope your little one has a lovely birthday in a few days time. I think that will be a great age gap.

My little girl is 2 and a half I took her to pets at home today (which is a win for me these days lol) and it was exhausting. How will I cope with the logistics of two!

At what age do they stop running off? DD will be 3.1 when this one is born and I thought that would be a good age gap but now I’m worried I can’t handle it and should have waited! DD had colic and I think I have a bit of ptsd from it tbh.

Then I feel guilty because I know how lucky we are and how much we wanted this, we were also lucky it happened very fast- I honestly didn’t think it would be the first month so it all feels like a bit of a blur.

I also keep waiting up and having this weird anxiety about labour! Even though it’s a very long way off.

Maybe it’s just hormonal and will pass soon! Smile

Welcome and congratulations to the new mamas on this thread 🥰👋🏽 how are we all feeling today?

I'm feeling a bit down as for the first time since my BFP my sore nipples have completely disappeared. AF didn't show yesterday of course and I had the strongest pregnancy test line I've seen so far but I can't help but worry.

I'm about to call my local antenatal dpt to get a scan booked in. Maybe they'll make me feel better!

Sleeeeeepy · 07/12/2020 12:38

@Mumtoalittlegirl @AbbeyBelfast Well my boys are 4 and 2 if that makes you feel any better. It's already chaos so just leaning into it!

Hi all! I’ve just had a bfp!!!!! Due on the 11th and I cannot stop smiling. Just been to tell dp and he was so shocked 🤣🤣🤣. My daughter is 10 months and I’m a little nervous as to how I’ll cope. I start back at work next month after this maternity leave and it will be just around the time of morning sickness so dreading how I will cope ans telling my boss 🙈. Hopefully we can share support xoxo

Superdazzleunicorn · 07/12/2020 13:21

Hi all jumping on this thread, got my positive a few days ago, really early as period due Thursday. This will be my 6th child 😁 have a 20 year old, 13, 12, 8 and 6. Be due around 16th August fingers crossed

Bonniecoloo · 07/12/2020 13:25

@Roses9 @SFA21- I’m also struggling with my sleep! I wake up about 6/6:30 and can’t switch off yet so tired!

@LunaorJack95 - I’m also so worried today I’m now 6 days past AF but I’m having such cramps. And come down with an awful cold (not covid) so feel rubbish ! There’s no early scan appointments until Jan so I may aswell wait for my 12 week. 😩

SFA21 · 07/12/2020 13:30

@Bonniecoloo I'm having cramps as well! I'm worried as it's my first baby so not sure what should be normal?

Bonniecoloo · 07/12/2020 13:35

@SFA21- it’s my first too! I have cramps and they’re going into my hips then into my legs! I don’t know what’s normal! My boobs are tender and I’m starving hungry at 7:30am (i don’t usually have breakfast until 11)

LunaorJack95 · 07/12/2020 13:41

@Bonniecoloo I felt like that at first but I started to change my mentality that cramps are actually a good sign. Your body is adapting and muscles stretching etc in prep for the baby! I'd say only worry if they are really painful or accompanied by bleeding. Try not to worry chick (easier said than done!).

Oh no! 😫 well you can live through me when I get mine done I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on the experience. X

LunaorJack95 · 07/12/2020 13:44

@Bonniecoloo @SFA21 have a read ladies 🥰 x

August '21 Due Dates
Bells20 · 07/12/2020 14:03

Hi ladies, I got my BFP super early at 10dpo last week and due 15th August according to the apps. Hope it's fine for me to join! This is my first but despite this little bean being planned and so so wanted it doesn't feel at all real! I have to keep reminding myself that I'm pregnant so I don't accidentally have some wine or too much coffee! I'm also POAS every day at the moment because I just can't believe it haha. I have an early scan booked for a few weeks time when I'll be just over 6 weeks and hoping all being well I'll see that little heartbeat and reality will kick in! I'm planning to tell my parents on Christmas Day but it's so hard not to tell everyone!

I too have been having mild cramps every day and feel constantly like I'm about to start my period. I've done lots of googling and seems to be quite common and normal. @LunaorJack95 that screenshot you just posted is what I keep trying to remind myself. The cramps are good it means this little bean is growing and my body is doing what it needs to do to! Definitely an anxiety provoking time though!

Bonniecoloo · 07/12/2020 14:08

@LunaorJack95 - thanks for that. So hard not to worry!

@Bells20 - congratulations!! I’m a POAS too as I can’t believe it and feel exactly the same as much as this was planned it just doesn’t seem real! I have to remind myself what I can’t eat - like certain cheeses I nearly ordered for Christmas 🙈 My app says I’ll be 8 weeks Christmas Day & due 6th august (day after my birthday) so would be the best present!!!

JChina · 07/12/2020 14:22

Can I cautiously join?! Just got a BFP today. Had a chemical pregnancy last month so not getting too excited yet...but it looks nice and strong so fingers crossed

JChina · 07/12/2020 14:24

and should have said, this will be number 3 for me if all goes well!

SFA21 · 07/12/2020 14:25

@LunaorJack95 thanks for that! As others have said it's just hard not to worry but will just keep reminding myself of that.

I still don't feel like it's real, it's like I'm waiting to wake up from a dream - just went to the doctors though to fill in some forms for my first midwife appointment, so hoping it starts to sink in a bit more soon

Bonniecoloo · 07/12/2020 14:40

@JChina - congratulations!! I also had a chemical last month - my lines didn’t get any darker with that. My lines this month are very dark so assuming it’s a good sign? This hopefully will be my first. It’s all so exciting yet surreal at the same time. I feel obsessed with being pregnant and DH is excited but I feel they don’t understand what it’s like!

JChina · 07/12/2020 15:58

Thanks @Bonniecoloo, it's hard isn't after a chemical, feels like you can't really trust the test! I think dark lines are reassuring, I have two kids already and with both of them I had dark lines early on, so fingers crossed for you!
For me this one is a much stronger line than the chemical at a similar DPO so hoping for the best!

AbbeyBelfast · 07/12/2020 16:15

...who's been hit with nausea? Eurgh I'd forgotten about this lol. I'm only 11dpo I think, I miscalculated so I'm earlier than I thought. I didn't think I'd feel sick already

LetsD0ThisThing · 07/12/2020 16:34

Hi everyone, I got my BFP last week. I am due 15th August. This is DC3 I have 2 sons (12 and 7 so quite a big gap). This is my 6th pregnancy, I have had 3 miscarriages, the most recent was in September so I am obviously a nervous wreck at the minute. I have booked a reassurance scan for when I will be 7 weeks, I am praying everything goes ok with this little one.

I haven't read through all the posts on here sorry, has anyone created a Facebook group? If so I'd love to join, I am still in one from when I was pregnant with DS2 and we still keep in touch now 😊

ALB1990 · 07/12/2020 16:42

@AbbeyBelfast I've been hit like a tonne of bricks the last day and a half. Had to call in sick to work, couldn't even stand without being sick. I'm hoping it eases tomorrow as I've got an early scan as I've had spotting over the weekend and the midwife advised calling the hospital to book one in. How are you feeling? Any remedies you can recommend? X

NestinginNL · 07/12/2020 16:58

@LetsD0ThisThing there is indeed a Facebook group! If you search for "Sunday of Summer" you'll find it x

LetsD0ThisThing · 07/12/2020 16:59

@NestinginNL thank you, I've just sent a join request.

JustMouse · 07/12/2020 17:00

Hello to everyone that's joined today.

I'm really struggling with tiredness. I've not been unable to drop off to sleep the last few nights and then i'm awake by 5am needing a wee and can't drop back off. So by 1pm in work I was done in.

I've had waves of sickness, but find it tends to when i'm hungry.

I've completed the online form for the midwife today and now it's just a waiting game for an appointment. I hate all this waiting.

Oh I feel you, it's been so bad today I just wanted to stay in bed, impossible with a 3 year old lol.

Toast has been all I can stomach. Ginger biscuits and tea don't seem to help me at all. That's about all I can recommend. Sorry I'm not much use! X

AbbeyBelfast · 07/12/2020 17:27

Can I just ask if everyone else can see a line too, I've had this feeling all afternoon I'm imagining things ConfusedGrin
