August '21 Due Dates

Hi!

I got my BFP a few days back (well a lot of BFPs as I'm a POAS addict) and my due date is likely to be early August 2021.

Any other ladies out there with similar exciting news in need of chat and support in these strange times please jump on board!

Calia456 I have booked private too for 8 week reassurance scan

@Bonniecoloo id say if money permits then do it! Nice little bit of reassurance. It is isn't it - and how it comes and goes by the hour/day! I wish it was consistent 😫

@FeelingBlessedx not much help here I keep getting confused which one is which 🤣

@MintGreenLife I honestly think it's so individual to the person. I may be wrong with this theory but I had quite bad cramping with my periods so wondered if there was a correlation there. Like I'm more prone to them. Could be wrong though?

@Calia456 yup got my 6 week scan booked for the 19th! Earliest possible scan we can get so I'm not expecting much but google suggests I'll see a kidney bean type shape, woo! Haha.

@FeelingBlessedx it’s just because your HCG is super high which is a good thing 😀 ah thanks that makes me feel better. Every time I look at early pregnancy threads everyone seems to be mentioning cramping, so makes you worry when you’re not experiencing the same. I do have other symptoms like sore boobs and some mild nausea, so maybe I should just be thankful I don’t have cramping too! Xx

@LunaorJack95 quite possible! You’re right everyone is different, probably shouldn’t compare my symptoms too much 😊

These are not taken in order I've just lined them up that way! Goes to show how time of the day/other random factors changes the result..

@Calia456 - I've been thinking about an early scan at around 8 weeks, I was looking at one just before Christmas but they are now fully booked. Then telling family Christmas Day, but it's my sister's little ones first Christmas, and I don't want to take that away. So then thought about telling them on New Year's Eve.

But then I think, it's only another 4 weeks on to the 12 week scan, so not sure what to do.

@JustMouse that makes sense, NYE sounds like a nice idea though - it's not like anyone will be out partying!

I just know that I will worry myself sick until I have the first scan and I don't think I can get through Xmas and NY without knowing 🤣

@Calia456 - But then I worry, if I booked an early scan am I jinxing myself.

I'm just praying this is a sticky little bean, that doesn't give me too much sickness over Xmas.

I move back in with my parents in 2 weeks! Just went to see my partners parents and it was agony not telling them - they are older so are desperate for a grandchild, but my parents will definitely feel like they’re too young ha!

When people say about booking an early scan how many weeks would you be? I’ll be 8 weeks Xmas Eve so wondered about booking in 23rd if they had space, would that be too early- would I see anything?? My 12 week scan I’m guessing would be around 21st Jan?

@Bonniecoloo I'm going in for a 6 week scan, and these are the FAQs I was given after I made the booking online if that helps x

@Bonniecoloo ignore me 🤦🏽‍♀️ baby brains already. I googled what I would see and it wasn't much but it did say it is possible to get a heartbeat from 6 weeks onwards x

Hey everyone,
I’m 4 weeks pregnant, due around 16th August! Found out 12DPO so really early on, my test took literally 10 seconds to show up and was so dark already!
My husbands birthday is 14th August so he may be sharing it soon 🤣
My sister is also pregnant she’s 14 weeks and due in June so it’s going to be so nice sharing this experience with her if all goes to plan!

Hey All! Hoping you don't mind me joining. I got some faint positives today at 10/11dpo so I'm tentatively excited as I'm not even 4 weeks yet! DH is not completely convinced yet so will be getting a digital tomorrow and I hope having it spelt out will help 😂 This will be my first. Due date is about 18th August. Already planning on how to tell my parents on Christmas Day!

I’m 4wks today with no3, feeling surprisingly good...and desperately trying not to Google the risks as am AMA.

Do you mind if I join? I'm 6w due 2nd August. I have an early scan booked in next week at 7w. This is my 3rd pregnancy after having 2 miscarriages both this year so really hoping that things go well this time. X

Hiya! Hope it’s okay for another to join this thread? 😊 Found out on Saturday after being 15 days late on AF, wasn’t planned but still exciting. I believe I’m around 4w 4d ish, so due about August 12th. I think I’m going to book in for an early scan at six weeks if it’s possible! I currently live with my partner and his family so I’m already struggling not to tell them .

Has anybody been struggling with their sleep in the mornings? For the last few days, I’ve been so exhausted but have woken up at 6.45am with nausea and unable to get back to sleep!

I’m struggling a bit today. Just finding everything really challenging with the toddler. The what have I done feelings seem to be creeping in, as I find it hard enough with one! I’m sure that will wear off soon and I’ll start feeling a bit more excited.

I think it doesn’t help that it’s so cold out, we haven’t had any proper play dates and not much to do with my little one in general so just feeling a bit deflated!

Good to see lots more August babies have joined the thread. ❤️

I have a little girl turning 4 in 3 days, and although this baby was planned and is very much wanted... I had a sudden surge of "oh god, what are we doing!?" This morning 😂
