August '21 Due Dates

Hi!

I got my BFP a few days back (well a lot of BFPs as I'm a POAS addict) and my due date is likely to be early August 2021.

Any other ladies out there with similar exciting news in need of chat and support in these strange times please jump on board!

@Lottiek89 I get cramps every day, and have had multiple reassurances that this is normal as our uterus is expanding to accommodate the baby! Congrats 🥰 x

Me too they have been better today no sickness or soreness for me either with my previous 2 I had no symptoms at all so I was a little unsure this time when I had cramps but its seems I'm not the only 1:)

Hi all, I got my BFP today quite early. I'm due 18th August! I have a 9 and 7 year old already. Sore boobs and bit of nausea. Had HG last two pregnancies and I'm in the middle of a dissertation so very nervous!

I’m due August 11th I think - my first baby, I’m absolutely terrified but starting to feel more excited :) only symptoms I have so far is sore boobs and so tired! I haven’t told anyone yet apart from my partner - but I’m going to live with my parents while my house is built so I’m going to have to tell them soon! (So nervous, they don’t know we’ve been trying)

Due on the 8th Aug - lots of cramps here too!

Yes I’ve got cramps too - it’s unnerving isn’t it plus I’ve been having brown spotting/discharge. This is my second pregnancy so had to remind myself it happened with DS and it’s totally normal and calm myself down! You can’t help but worry though - It feels so much like your period starting
I wasn’t gonna phone the midwife til I was 6 weeks but I’ve seen PP’s have had their scan dates! When I got signed off midwifery care after DS she said just text her next time I’m pregnant not to bother going through GP.

Congratulations! If it’s any consolation I feel the same as you, terrified but also so excited! We haven’t told anybody yet but somehow I think we will end up telling our families when we finally get to see them on Christmas Day! We haven’t been able to see them in months for obvious reasons. I don’t think I will be able to keep it a secret. Are any of you planning on surprising your family or friends over Christmas?

I’m so undecided about when to tell family - I don’t want to feel like I’m trying to make Christmas all about me? But after the year we’ve all had feel like it could be a nice way to add to being back together at Christmas. Does anyone else feel this way?

@JustMouse congratulations!!! Oh bless, it must be a shock to your other half. Fingers crossed you can have your appointment between Christmas and new year. Luckily I'm able to work from home so shouldn't be questioned!

@FeelingBlessedx part of me really wants a scan before Christmas, but part of me wants to wait so I can see more 🙈 so confused as to what to do! Waheyy we have the same due date!

@surreymum89 Congrats! I have sent a referral off to my maternity unit as it takes them at least 10 working days to respond 🙄

It's my third, I have a DD8 and a DS1.5. I had a MMC at 12 weeks in the summer and hoping to be a little more lucky this time.

I’m shocked as had a chemical last month 3 days after I found out so I was excited but had it taken away so quickly. I’m so worried it’ll happen again, I think that’s why I’ve been doing tests everyday to see the line get darker! 🙈

@Smushty14 - I have no idea what went through his head and I doubt I ever will. He is very much a private person and doesn't let on about his feelings very often.
I'm really hoping it is, I will explain on Monday when I call them but we have to prove if we have an appointment and given in a copy of the appointment letter. All because many many years ago, someone was taking time off they didn't need.

@Bonniecolou - I've only done 1, but I have a digital one to do next weekend, hopefully when OH is home. But I really want to do it now.

Hi everyone, I'm 5w today and EDD is 8th August with my first.
We've been trying for the past 4 years. It's been a real struggle so far, unsuccessful fertility treatments, a couple of natural pregnancies that were chemicals, then naturally got pregnant this April whilst waiting for another treatment cycle..... only to find baby had chromosomal issues and had a tfmr in august. 8th August in fact.
We had only just confirmed another treatment cycle to begin in Jan with our clinic and then found out I was pregnant.

Really amazed that we managed it, and very grateful to have another chance, but anxiety is through the roof and everyday is difficult.

It doesn't help that I have zero symptoms except for quite a lot of sharp cramping over last few days. I keep expecting to bleed. Still testing positive though.

@Bonniecoloo I'm so sorry to hear that chick but fingers crossed it's a sticky bean this time round 🤞🏽♥️ the POAS addiction is real haha! I was doing it every day but starting to calm down now and going to try and wait till next week to do another digital which should hopefully say 3+.. we've also gone ahead and put a deposit down on a 6 week scan the week after.. no symptoms today which worries me but sure all is fine🤞🏽 x

@LunaorJack95 - it’s so exciting to see a positive though isn’t it! I don’t know whether to do an early scan or not just to put my mind at ease - I’ll see what DH says. I’ve had more cramping today and feel sick for the first time over my morning tea? Crazy how it all works!

Is anyone test line darker than their control line I'm 4 weeks 3 days and I thought I had it the wrong way round its so dark 😅 anyone experienced this b4 🤔

@FeelingBlessedx here’s my dye stealer, but that was around 5 weeks.

I was just wondering if anyone can put my mind at rest? I’ve noticed everyone seems to mention getting lots of cramping early pregnancy, where as I have hardly had any. I’m 5+6 now and all I get is the odd twinges and have had some round ligament pain when standing, sneezing etc. Bit worried I have no cramping?

Thank you that's what mine looks like:) I never had cramping or any signs with my two previous babies both healthy full term too :) I was more concerned I had them this time. I think everyone's experiences are different and each pregnancy is totally different :)

Is anyone else going for an early scan? I can't get an appointment on the NHS till the end of January.
I've booked in for a private scan on the 22nd because there's no way I can wait that long without completely stressing out!! I'll be about 7/8 weeks by then.
