Hi!

I got my BFP a few days back (well a lot of BFPs as I'm a POAS addict) and my due date is likely to be early August 2021.

Any other ladies out there with similar exciting news in need of chat and support in these strange times please jump on board!

Pika93 · 04/12/2020 18:15

@FeelingBlessedx I am pretty much every night for the past week

JenTTC1981 · 04/12/2020 18:18

@LunaorJack95 aww hey fellow pcoser!
This is my second. But A pretty big age gap as my DS is 7 in April.
This second pregnancy has been along time coming. We’ve had to have some help so I’m just praying all remains ok.
Is this your first? Xxx

FeelingBlessedx · 04/12/2020 18:24

I have a 9 and 6 year old but feels like it's all new again I just dont remember this cramping is does calm when I sit down and does go away at times

FeelingBlessedx · 04/12/2020 18:30

How far are u :)

Sleeeeeepy · 04/12/2020 19:29

Congrats to all the new BFPs!!

A bit of cramping is normal at this stage, your uterus is getting ready to start growing, remember it grows first then the baby follows, so it's limbering up! I find it so incredible how clever our bodies are to know how to do this!

Thank u :)

LunaorJack95 · 04/12/2020 20:29

@FeelingBlessedx congratulations! This is my first, AF due Sunday, cramps feel very AF-like (I get them intermittently every day) and yet different at the same time! As @Sleeeeeepy said it's normal as this stage! X

@JenTTC1981 ah wow that is quite the gap - I suppose it makes it easier than having two very young babies/children to look after? 😝 this my first! Sending all the prayers your way for a happy and healthy pregnancy 🤞🏽 x

LunaorJack95 · 04/12/2020 20:35

Question ladies - if I were to book a 6 week early pregnancy scan would I be able to do this in two weeks based on my CB saying 2-3 weeks this morn? As I understand I'm 3+6 based on my LMP x

Sleeeeeepy · 04/12/2020 20:43

@LunaorJack95 you add 2 weeks onto the CB which is showing weeks since conception (which none ever talks about) so it suggests you're 4-5 weeks, you might have ovulated slightly earlier than you thought

Smushty14 · 04/12/2020 20:45

@LunaorJack95 I was wondering the same! I really want a scan before Christmas but then again I don't want one if I will be too early🙈

LunaorJack95 · 04/12/2020 20:46

@Sleeeeeepy yea I think I'm jussst on the cusp of four as tomorrow will technically be four weeks since my last period started. That was actually a seven day period (which I never get) so I must've ovulated soon after! X

Sleeeeeepy · 04/12/2020 20:50

@LunaorJack95 the 3+6 estimate would be based on you ovulating day 14, so you probably ovulated before that and so are a few days further along. The tests are much more accurate than going by lmp x

Hi all, jumping on after getting my BFP this morning. EDD of aug from online calculator. I'm currently registered at a doctors near to where I work but after working from home since Mar I'd like to register locally (it's about a 30-40 min drive otherwise). Is it worth me telling current doctor anyway?

JustMouse · 04/12/2020 21:56

ust creeping in to join the August club.

I had a positive test this morning, and going by LMP working out of a due date of 10th August. I video called OH this morning, as he is currently on deployment. Didn't overly get the reaction I wanted, but I think that was just shock, as we've been trying for 12 months.

I've told my sister and best friend, because I think the support with be helpful, while OH is away.

I keep feeling really crampy, and going to the loo to double check. First baby, so feeling scared, worried and a little excited.

Thisisbananas3 · 04/12/2020 22:50

Another newbie! Got my bfp yesterday and am due mid August! First baby so I am petrified!

Just wanted to say hello and say congratulations to you all Smile

Sleeeeeepy · 04/12/2020 23:19

Congratulations @Liloulou I would tell them so they can register you on the system, they'll be able to advise what's best to do re the move

Also congratulations @Thisisbananas3 and @JustMouse !!

Thank you ladies after a good rest they seem to wear off. I worked out my weeks from my first day of last period to book my early scan so I will be 8 weeks 30.12 and booked a private scan. I think initially they tell you to work out your dates like that until u have a scan to confirm weeks etc. This is so lovely to be part of especially like most of u who are not telling many people it's nice to have someone to ask questions and talk to :)

Clairey844 · 05/12/2020 07:28

Hi everyone, nice to see lots of new BFPs on here so congratulations to everyone who has joined. I'm 5w5d and haven't told anyone apart from OH and haven't even phoned my GP; I had a loss earlier this year so want to have an early scan before I even start the official ball rolling ha ha.

Feeling totally fine which in a way isn't helping although probably a bit more tired and slight loss of appetite if I was really searching for symptoms. Was like this with my daughter who is 2.5 so suppose it's normal for me.

Have a great day everyone x

surreymum89 · 05/12/2020 13:30

Been watching this group, had my digital 2-3 weeks now , thought I would joined , estimated due date 13th August , will be baby number 3 !

When did/is everyone planning on contacting midwife , we self-refer here but don't know when to fill in the form ?

FeelingBlessedx · 05/12/2020 14:23

I'm due 11th going by online calculator I called docs and I've got an appt at 8 weeks with midwife that's all I've had to do so far I'm not sure if it's different in different areas though but I'm sure csnt be too different x

JustMouse · 05/12/2020 16:12

@surreymum89 - I'm going to phone on Monday and i'll be 4+6. I've work out i'll be about 8 weeks between Christmas and New Year, so hoping they have some appointments then, as i'll be off work and won't need to say anything.

LunaorJack95 · 05/12/2020 16:21

@Sleeeeeepy I see! This is all so confusing to me haha x

Welcome and congratulations to all newcomers! 🥰🥳

How's everyone feeling this afternoon? My nausea has ramped up, I'm gonna exhausted, and a key new change is tonnes of clear/milky discharge! 🤢

Called local hospital to book my first scan and was told the antenatal department aren't open on weekends. Suppose I'll just have to make sure bubba isn't born on a sat or sun 😂

Amber125 · 05/12/2020 16:54

My due date is August 4th 😊 anyone else have the same as me?

Lottiek89 · 05/12/2020 17:44

Hi everyone, congratulations on your exciting news!! I’m due around 7th August with my first...Lots of cramps and tiredness this week but no other symptoms (boobs, sickness) which makes me worry, I know I shouldn’t but can’t help it! Has anyone else had cramps at all? xx
