Hi ladies! New to this board just moved over from conception! Cannot quite believe it! I'm panicking as it's been a year (exactly!!) Since my miscarriage, and now I have backache and light cramps! Is that normal at four weeks can anyone put my mind at ease? X

Ohh is it.. not too far away then either!
I guess you may get another scan offered if it's too early anyways, so get to see your baby twice 😊 @AnxiousAnnie86

AnxiousAnnie86 · 26/11/2020 20:52

@Blossom428 yeah that was my thinking!!

When's yours?? Did you book private? Xx

Boredinthehouse12 · 26/11/2020 21:21

@AnxiousAnnie86 amazing! Was the scan internal?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 26/11/2020 21:31

@Boredinthehouse12 no it was an abdominal one xx

Hi ladies, my notifications haven't been working this week in my email so im trying to catch up 🤣

I hope everyone is doing well?

@AnxiousAnnie86 so pleased your scan went well!! Was it window to the womb you used? Im going to get a scan booked for when im 9+6 so we can share the news at Christmas all being well and have been looking at window to the womb.

How is everyone??

AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/11/2020 07:15

@Redfoot89 we used miracle inside, we were literally in for five mins, but she checked baby's measurements, my ovaries etc so hoping everything is fine, we are going to tell parents tomorrow when I'm 9 weeks, and then will probably tell everyone else all being well just before Xmas when I'm 12.

How's the sickness going, the doctor prescribed me cyclizine yesterday, but they make you feel so so spaced out and weird I don't like it xxx

@AnxiousAnnie86 eeek how exciting!! Im a but nervous about using window to the womb after seeing the article that was posted the other day on here but the only other company near me wants your midwife details for booking and i dont have it yet. Im worried that if i left it until i got the details then there wont be any appointments left 😕

Yeah not too bad, its coming and going now, been gagging quite a bit but still haven't been sick thank goodness! Lots of trapped wind this week though and ive gone off loads of foods 🤣

Oh that does not sound fun at all. Is it helping sickness?

Blossom428 · 27/11/2020 07:47

@AnxiousAnnie86 mines not till 13th- still 2 long weeks away! With ultrasound direct as it's literally 5mins away.
Sounds positive about what she did, and least your nhs scan isn't too far away.

@Redfoot89 I'm just dreading when the nausea hits me... so far nothing as of yet though.

Have you guys ever got like a sharp pain when you've laughed or coughed around your uterus? It happened to me last night.
I've stopped taking my B6 now, just to see if any of symptoms come on, but worried it may wobble with my hormones. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Redfoot89 · 27/11/2020 07:52

@Blossom428 no, never happened to me (not yet anyways) although ive not had a cough 🤷‍♀️

Im so bloated just now that i cant fasten the button on my jeans anymore without it being uncomfortable 🤣🤣 its all happening. Im so emotional just now too keep wanting to cry!

Ill be booking a scan for 20th of december do quite a few weeks away yet 😅

AnxiousAnnie86 · 27/11/2020 08:37

@Redfoot89 I actually found the sickness preferable to the nausea! I've found some sickness bands that take the edge off a little too!

Don't worry about that article, the one I went with was mentioned on there too! There are always going to be people with bad experiences everywhere you go. I've not been able to fasten my jeans since 5 weeks!!! So annoying!

@Blossom428 yes, I get sharp pains if I move too quick! And every sneeze is followed by oouuuuch!!! I'm going to do the 8th if they can't get into they need they will just book me back in xx

Reassuring to hear @AnxiousAnnie86 - I'm getting a few more sharp little cramping pains as the days go on. Which I know is all the stretching and pulling happening.

I stupidly read about a blighted ovum and now it's freaked me out 🙈🙈

I've had to fill out a risk assessment today for work, but I ticked not pregnant. I kinda wanna wait for my scan untill I say anything. But if I feel at risk I will say something. We'll only probably do door step visits again anyways and not go into peoples houses.

Bambi300180 · 27/11/2020 10:19

Amazing @AnxiousAnnie86 must have been a relief to see all is well. Hope all you guys are doing good. I get they sharp pains when I cough or sneeze sometimes x

Redfoot89 · 27/11/2020 13:26

@AnxiousAnnie86 i am the same i hate nausea and would just rather be sick if it was going to happen 😅

Oh was it, thanks, we are just going to book it, my hubby has been looking into it i think with how ill ive been feeling its starting to feel a bit more real to him now and hes starting to get excited!

@Blossom428 i felt an odd little pain today literally in the last half hour, was doing yoga with the kids at my work 🤣👌 i feel same as you, there is a risk assessment that needs done for pregnancy at my work but im not telling work till after 12 weeks if i can get away with it

Blossom428 · 28/11/2020 11:20

@Redfoot89 when are you going to book for?
Aww cute OH is getting excited too now 😊

I was doing bits of yoga but don't know if you have to do a special pregnancy yoga now, because are some moves a bit risky? Or reckon they are all okay- more when you have a big belly?

Redfoot89 · 28/11/2020 11:28

@Blossom428 think we are going to try book for 19th dec, ill be 9+5 then all going well. Can i ask ladies, when any of you have booked private scans, do they ask for midwife details? Window to the womb is like 30 min from us and doesnt need them but the closer scan places all need midwife details which i just dont have yet. Im worried if i leave it too late that we wont get a scan before xmas.

Yeah i work in a nursery so it was just simple kids yoga, didnt last long either. Im not sure although i do know there are some nice pregnancy safe workouts around.

I know a girl who is a pt and she worked out right up till just before her due date (pregnancy safe of course) - exercise is fine depending on the level you were at before pregnancy. Just listen to your body 😊 i do think pregnancy yoga is a thing though so maybe something to check out if you like doing it 😊

Blossom428 · 28/11/2020 11:41

Aw yeah that's good a baby will be bigger then, so you'll be able to see more. @Redfoot89
I've got mine at 8weeks with one called ultrasound direct. They haven't asked for any midwife details so far. I have my midwife appt after it too so I wouldn't know either. Can you just say you don't know them yet?

God I bet it's hard with kids all day and feeling sick 🙈
I'm so thankful for working from home and being able to chill on the sofa with my laptop. Things may change next week though as we go out of lockdown.

Yeah some people do work out throughout. I wouldn't say I'm overly active but I have always been active and walking. Haven't been to the gym since Feb though. May just do some small homeworkouts on YouTube.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/11/2020 11:59

@Redfoot89 mine didn't ask for any midwife details? I've got my first face to face with midwife Wednesday, for bloods etc x

OP posts:
Redfoot89 · 28/11/2020 12:00

@Blossom428 ah ok thats fine then, will more than likely go for the one further away that doesn't need then cos i just soooo want to go and see 🤣

Yeah honestly it is really hard, im a lone worker too so i only have 1 unqualified other staff in with me so i just cant be sick or off 🤣 it is hard being upbeat all the time i must admit.

Yeah im with you, i was working out a lot at beginning if year but then lockdown and family bereavement etc happened so i just kept making excuses 🤷‍♀️ i do love walking though

Redfoot89 · 28/11/2020 12:01

@AnxiousAnnie86 ah ok thank you that does make mee feel more confident in booking without giving details! How are you feeling ?

Blossom428 · 28/11/2020 12:45

Yess book it 😆 @Redfoot89
Gosh that's hard. Hopefully you start to feel a bit better soon then they say things are easier in 2nd trimester.
Ahh sorry to hear about bereavement. your news will spread lots of happiness for the end of the year 😊

I'm still surprised nothings hit me yet(praying it stays that way). I'm usually so sick on every hangover so I thought I would have been by now.- 6weeks tomorrow 😆😆

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/11/2020 13:36

@Redfoot89 I'm so so dizzy and spaced out from the tablets! It's awful! How are you?

Has anyone got backache? My backs started aching really bad and I'm so worried, we just told parents today too I'm worried I've tempted fate x

OP posts:
Redfoot89 · 28/11/2020 14:25

@AnxiousAnnie86 @Blossom428

Yeah im going to book it this weekend somepoint. It is but im praying for it to ease off a bit!!

Thankyou, im actually even more nervous to share our news because of the bereavement, my brother and his wife had a baby boy who they lost at 4 weeks old. So im really nervous about how its going to go telling the family.

No sickness thank goodness just feel rubbish 24/7 and haven't slept through the night all week. Ive had wee bits of back ache here and there but nothing too bad. It will just be muscles etc expanding.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/11/2020 15:08

@Redfoot89 oh that's so awful! I'm so so sorry to hear that.... i cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak for your and your family, it will be hard for them but I'm sure they will take some happiness from it.

We told our sister in law today and she's made it about it, she can't have anymore children, she has a six year old, and she's basically said to me I need to understand how raw this is for her and it may take time: I can't help but feel a little upset, this has taken us 16 months and a MC, 😞

OP posts:
Redfoot89 · 28/11/2020 15:26

@AnxiousAnnie86 i know that my sis in law is keen for her oldest to have a baby cousin as i kind of approached the subject before we tried so i know they would be happy for us but it will def be super hard for them too, i hate the thought of upsetting them.

Oh im sorry to hear she has taken the news this way 😔 its not easy.

Blossom428 · 28/11/2020 16:15

Oh gosh, that must have been so terrible as a family to go through. @Redfoot89

@AnxiousAnnie86 sad to hear that she isn't happy for my you. You'd think she would have been with having a child already and knows the excitement of it.

It's so hard isn't it, and how people react- but don't let it burst your bubble!

How did you parents react? Bet they were so happy!
I really want to tell my mum, but my partner keeps saying wait till Christmas Day 🙈

I feel I've got a some back ache, but not sure if it's jsut from so much sitting down that I'm not used to.
