39+5 here, desperately waiting!

Weird one, but does anyone feel like they can feel their waters bulging? Its such an odd sensation but can't think of what else it could be.

No other signs of things happening soon..Confused

1990shopefulftm · 29/10/2020 12:45

@Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt has your midwife told you where babies head is? It could be that, feels quite heavy for me at times.

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 29/10/2020 12:56

Yeah, 4/5ths engaged as of last week so its definitely pressure, but its just feels like a big bubble. Weird

sophs29 · 29/10/2020 12:56

@Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt I sometimes feel that, it's normally whilst I'm weeing I feel like something else is bulging whilst wee is coming out haha - hard to explain!

Went for my sweep earlier, apparently I was already 1-2cm dilated so she had a good old prod about down there 🥴 wasn't actually as uncomfortable as I thought, I'm abit achey now though but we'll see if it does anything!

Jaffas22 · 29/10/2020 13:10

Haven’t nt posted on here for a while so little update from me.
Very complicated end of pregnancy. Had to be induced at 38+2. Spend 3 days alone in hospital before they could finally break my waters.
Baby girl Adelyn arrived 22/10/20 weighing 6lb 1oz and she is a little dream.

Congratulations to all new mammas & good luck to all those still waiting 💕

60sPony · 29/10/2020 19:09

Hello 👋 to all my due date buddies today! Any of you still pregnant? I sure am!

1990shopefulftm · 29/10/2020 19:24

@60sPony still waiting, my sleeps getting worse each night so don't know where I ll get the energy for labour from.

SamK93 · 29/10/2020 19:38

@Jaffas22 congratulations on your little girl 💗

Sls668 · 29/10/2020 19:40

Congrats @Jaffas22!

@60sPony my due date tomorrow, at present I’m still very much pregnant!

WaveStreet · 29/10/2020 19:52

@Jaffas22 congrats on your little girl

@60sPony 🙋🏼‍♀️ due date buddy! Absolutely nothing happening for me yet. Midwife said they won't do a sweep til 41 weeks, hopefully something will happen before then, just trying to keep waiting patiently until he's ready.

FirstSurprise001 · 29/10/2020 19:55

@krissy12 how have you got on for the rest of the day? I’ve had what feels like trapped wind all day and it’s driving me mad! Back ache, loads of kicking, braxton hicks and the trapped wind plus lost a little more of my plug. You know when you just want to know if it’s happening or not now 😂

watersintheclouds · 29/10/2020 19:55

@60sPony hi due date buddy! Still pregnant too so you’re not alone.

I’m having a sweep in the morning if I’m able so we’ll see how favourable everything is looking.

krissy12 · 29/10/2020 19:57

ladies if in doubt please go get seen baby arrived at 15.35 after very fast labour was 9cm when I arrived at triage

FirstSurprise001 · 29/10/2020 20:11

Blimey I guess that answers my question 😂😂😂 congratulations @krissy12!

Chl00 · 29/10/2020 20:31

@Sls668 I’m due tomorrow too and very much pregnant 🤣

SamK93 · 29/10/2020 21:38

Congrats!! @krissy12 when you explained the kind of pains you were having I knew it might have been labour as it's exactly what i experienced, well done you on getting to 9cm!! Xx

krissy12 · 29/10/2020 21:49

thank you I honestly had no idea I was so far on i had phoned for advice and they said sounded like early labour then I had my blood show which Tmi was a lot bloodier than expected so went up in a panic thinking something was wrong

SamK93 · 29/10/2020 21:56

@krissy12 everyone's experience of labour is so different, you've done so well. I hope you and baby are doing well, get plenty of rest! x

DressingGown87 · 29/10/2020 22:05

@Jaffas22 congratulations!! sorry to hear you had a rough end to the pregnancy, but so glad your little girl is here. Hope your both doing well.

@krissy12 congratulations!! Hope your both doing well.

Good luck to all of you having sweeps ans waiting at the moment. Hopefully they won’t keep you waiting much longer.

Paige is 2 weeks old today, so we’ve carved a pumpkin and put her inside it for her first Halloween.

thank you for the well wishes unfortunately I did end up with a third degree tear and had to go to theatre after delivering with just gas and air so not looking forward to the recovery of that but just so happy hes here and theyve told me I will need a section next time.

@Chl00 honestly you never know I was due today and had no signs until this morning and I know you've had symptoms for a few days so hopefully it wont be long

60sPony · 30/10/2020 08:10

Wow @krissy12 what a day! Huge congratulations and hope you had a good first night together.

@WaveStreet @watersintheclouds glad to heat I’m not alone. Hope you are both doing well and not too fed up. I’ve also got a sweep today so 🤞 for us all. Tomorrow is also a full moon which I hear can encourage babies along. Perhaps wishful thinking!

LadyB90 · 30/10/2020 08:39

Congratulations on the new additions! So exciting.
I'm 40+3 today so joining the frustrated/fed up club. Just want baby out now but no signs she's planning on coming. Sorry to those of you feeling down and fed up too. Pregnancy seems to feel a bit never ending right now

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 30/10/2020 11:30

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow. Still no sign of anything.
I'm in a lot of pain today with SPD/round ligament pain so feel really distracted. Hoping a bit of baking and Halloween craft with my 4.5yr old will take my mind off it. I've also got a new birthing ball arriving shortly so fingers crossed that helps too.

sophs29 · 30/10/2020 12:21

Had my contractions start at 2am but didn't ring the hospital as they weren't following a definite pattern, they did slowly start getting stronger but then at 8:30 they completely stopped 😭 then I got blurry vision so rang the MW's and they said to try a sleep as I'm probably overtired, just woken up and vision is better but just feel a bit out of it guess and so disappointed it's all stopped! my DP has taken the day off too and can't take anymore until his paternity leave so feeling stressed and hoping the baby comes over the weekend 😩

FirstSurprise001 · 30/10/2020 13:29

@sophs29 they do say if your contractions stop then clary sage will get them back up and running so if you can get hold of some then definitely worth a try! Fingers crossed for you - doesn’t sound like you’re far off!

40 + 9 today. Been to see the midwife this morning, I’m already 2cm dilated with a soft cervix and she could feel his head. Apparently she was super surprised at how far he’s moved from his head being free last week - gave me a really good sweep and said she’d be surprised if I made it to my induction on Monday now. Feeling so much more optimistic!!
