If I have missed you! Sorry! I did quickly scan through the start of the last thread, to add people and update the list, but only did this quick.

Congratulations on all the new arrivals! Today is my due date, getting impatient now but don't really feel like it's happening today unfortunately

@Freddie1987 that's great that they ve offered you another one at the hospital, I m seeing mine at the GP and she's normally there once a week.
Hopefully, I can argue to have a 2nd at the antenatal clinic in the hospital at the weekend.
@Sophs29 perhaps your own date was correct and we re just having long/tall babies.
@FirstSurprise001 hopefully it all kicks off soon for you. Some people say they ve lost their plug and everything kicks off in the next day or so.

Yes @1990shopefulftm when I've been getting really fed up my partner keeps saying 'yes but if you were right about your due date, you're not too far over' still doesn't help tho 🙄😂

@sophs29 you re definitely justified to be fed up, as it's still the date the midwives go off so even if the scan is wrong they ll still push for interventions off that date.

I'm definitely ready to try the sweep tomorrow! fed up and and comfortable to a whole new level now! @1990shopefulftm hope yours goes well later, you'll have to let us know how you found it ☺️

Sweep wouldn't work, my cervix isn't dilated and is quite far back so I ve got an induction booked a week Saturday for the earliest slot they had to get the best chance of having DH there with me and baby is back to back at the moment, so all round generally not what I wanted to hear at all really.

I d still recommend trying a sweep as at least you know then.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that @1990shopefulftm thinking of you! my first DS was laying back to back and they just told me to lay on my left side as much as possible to prompt him to turn!

@sophs29 I do tend to sleep on that side but will make sure to spend as much time as I can leaning to the left.

@1990shopefulftm oh I'm sorry to hear that it didn't go as hoped today, I feel your pain! Have you gone on the spinning babies site? It's pretty good at showing you positions you can try to get baby in optimal position.

@Freddie1987 yes I ve had a look, i m going to try and do some things after dinner and make sure to sit on my birthing ball as much as possible.

Is anyone else experiencing nausea this late on in their pregnancy?
I ve been incredibly lucky and not had much until now but it's suddenly woken me up this morning, I ve had on and off quite bad back pain since the failed sweep yesterday so not sure if my body is just a bit run down from dealing with that.

I've heard nausea can be a sign of labour? But I feel like at this stage everything is a sign haha. Sorry to hear you couldnt get a sweep. If it's any consolation I had a sweep yesterday but I'm pretty sure it did absolutely nothing as I feel no different at all. The midwife said to me sometimes people go in with a closed cervix so she can't do it and then go into labour soon after and others can be 4 or 5cms and just stay that way for another couple of weeks, so I guess these baby's are just going to come when they feel like it. It's frustrating though, feels like it's never going to actually happen!

@1990shopefulftm I had nausea yesterday that stopped me eating twice (so am now starving!). It’s so annoying when you spend time cooking for yourself and then can’t eat it for no reason (other than baby is feeling fussy!)

Had a sweep yesterday as well.
She said I was 2 cm dilated with a medium cervix so things are definitely happening, albeit a little slow hehe.
Had a lot of bleeding after, she even had to go get a colleague to discuss what to do with me!! They monitored me for an hour and it stopped so was sent home. Had a lot of brown discharge since then, and at my 5 am wee wiped away a lot of dark red/brownish slime goo. I think that may have been my bloody show?

It's all very worrying. They said any more bleeding and come straight back because I'm rhesus negative and they'd want to give me an additional anti d shot, but as it's not fresh blood I am assuming it's okay.

@LadyB90 yes everything seems to be a sign when you Google it. When I get the back pain it's definitely not in waves like contractions are so I know it's not labour, just the weight of an 8.5lb baby leaning against it.

I've had nausea and some dizziness the past couple of days think it's quite common near the end.

we also DTD last night to try get things moving and I've woke up this morning feeling like I've been kicked in between my legs with constant period like cramp in my groin area with more intense cramp coming and going. DH is getting excited that this could be the start of something but I'm confused as I thought I would feel pain higher up actually in my bump so unsure if the pain is just radiating from my hips/ pelvis. FTM here

Feeling very down today girls, haven’t spoken on here for months but I feel like my pregnancy has been so rough and I really thought I’d have him early because I’ve been having strong regular braxton hicks since 37 weeks and had every sign under the sun that baby is coming and then nothing.. the only thing that hasn’t happened is my waters haven’t broke but I know that’s not common.. every night I think tonight is the night and then the contractions stop when I get tired in bed 😔 I’ve read so much on stop start latent labour but honestly this is ridiculous it’s been 3 weeks of it and one midwife even told my partner I’m making it up and not in any pain!😳😠 just so fed up and can’t stop crying this morning😞

@krissy12 would be interested to see what everyone else says about this as I’m feeling the same today. We DTD yesterday morning, lost part of my plug and then from last night onwards got the ‘kicked in the groin’ feeling. This morning I’m getting waves of pain from my groin up to my belly button but not sure what to expect either 😂

Oh @Chl00 I really feel for you! The midwife should be more understanding, given it’s her job to support women! It does get so frustrating towards the end and I can only imagine how much more it must when you’re in stop and start pain. Try to keep yourself busy and your mind off the baby as much as you can - easier said than done I know but the days just drag when you’re watching for every sign. Big hugs 🥰

@Chl00 do you feel able to put in a complaint against that midwife? I would if they made you feel like that.

Felt a bit frustrated when I explained my horrendous fear to the midwife yesterday of being in hospital overnight alone, her answer of "oh well you ll sleep some of it" felt like empty words when I ve not slept through the night in two weeks with DH able to help me at home, I certainly wouldn't be when I m in a hospital bed.

@FirstSurprise001 really hoping it is the start of something for us although I am getting a bit nervous the cramps are getting more painful even though still just under bump.

@Chl00 sorry to hear you are having such a rubbish time is this your community midwife they said this have you been upto triage to be checked?

Thanks for your well wishes, it wasn’t my community midwife that said it so I can’t report it but just really annoyed me, my own midwife has said she’ll give me a sweep and see how dilated I am on Tuesday next week if he’s still not here, but I’ve been having contractions it’s not even braxton hicks they start off mild and get closer and stronger until I go to bed and then they stop when I fall asleep 😔

@Cl00 you can report it still, if you ve got paper notes then her full name should have be written in there near the front.

@1990shopefulftm was just some random midwife that my partner spoke to when he was at work he just got chatting to her because he knew she was a midwife and she basically called me a liar to him so he didn’t bother with her again 😅

@krissy12 all my contractions with this one were really really low down and they came fast and painful right from the beginning, nothing like the contractions I had with my daughter which were higher up so I didn't believe I was in labour but I was. If the pains continue or develop a pattern get yourself checked out. I downloaded an app that counts contractions and helped me to realise they are coming regular and developing a pattern.
