@roarfeckingroarr ahhhh brilliant news, congratulations mumma!! Enjoy all the snuffles and cuddles xxx

For those struggling to sleep, mine is getting worse and worse. Past two nights have been constant up and down with BH and mild period pains but nothing else, feeling a bit fed up and impatient to be honest. Now nursing a headache so going to try nap it away! Did any of the mums who already have kids experience this in the lead up to labour? Knowing my luck it will carry on for the next three weeks!

LadyB90 · 17/10/2020 13:54

@roarfeckingroarr

Glooorb · 17/10/2020 20:27

Hi folks. Pleased to announce that our baby boy Oscar arrived this morning at 9:50am. Labour was pretty intense but considering that I started at 1am, I think I was pretty lucky. I managed to have a natural birth but needed an episiotomy.

FirstSurprise001 · 17/10/2020 20:39

@roarfeckingroarr @Glooorb congratulations both of you! Hope you both get plenty of rest and snuggles over the next few days! 💕

DressingGown87 · 18/10/2020 07:40

@roarfeckingroarr and @Glooorb congratulations on your little boys! Have a great recovery and enjoy the time, they change every day. 💙

I’ve had a night off, so have woke up feeling refreshed. After not so much sleep in hospital before and after Paige, and then as she didn’t sleep at all the first night home, my friend came round and cared for her for the night. She is doing great (apart from the nighttime sleep) and is so cute, recovery after a section is hard. My friend put her in the swing sleep yesterday and left, we both didn’t think anything of it, until she started crying and I realised I couldn’t bend down to get her out on my own. Had to call a neighbour round for help. Hope everyone is doing ok?

Congrats on all the healthy babies!
Getting real impatient to meet mine now! One and a half weeks to go until my due date, but I hope he comes soon. I want to meet the little man who keeps making my whole belly shake.
Feeling so much pressure down below I hope it's a good sign.

Flora20 · 18/10/2020 10:52

@Gloorb Congratulations!

@roarfeckingroarr Hope you had a good night and you're enjoying newborn snuggles 🙂

@DressingGown87 Glad you've had a good night's sleep and that your friend is so lovely! Recovery will be hard - don't push yourself, make the most of your lovely friends and neighbours! Hope you've got a rota set up to help you today 🙂

Getting impatient now, can't believe I'm still pregnant... High hopes for tomorrow when daughter is at the childminder's, maybe baby will be paying attention!

1990shopefulftm · 18/10/2020 11:20

My skins been horrendous yesterday, I was sat on the sofa at 4am because it was too bad to sleep.
I ended up taking a pregnancy-safe antihistamine which I felt quite bad about but nothing else was working, fingers crossed it keeps working for the rest of the day or I think i'll be ringing my GP for some advice tomorrow.
Hoping baby doesn't keep us waiting till my due date.

FirstSurprise001 · 18/10/2020 11:49

Glad I’m not the only one feeling impatient now. 3 days until my due date and no signs that he’s even thinking of making an entrance.

Finally had a good nights sleep last night after 2 weeks of pain in my hip and leg. Incredible what perfectly timed pain killers can do!

SamK93 · 18/10/2020 14:17

I'd be 38+2 now if I was still pregnant, but all those who are still waiting for their babies just get all the rest you can get now and enjoy this time! Get plenty of sleep, relax. The babies will be here before you know it, they won't stay in there forever so just use this time for some me time or some quality time with your partners. I didn't do enough of that and I haven't even had one proper conversation with DH since babies been born because we have two other DC too and it's just been non stop.

CurlyMummy1912 · 18/10/2020 14:44

Wise words @SamK93 thank you! I'm so impatient also but luckily I do have a set date to work towards. I keep feeling strange but it's very easy to symptom spot because you're so aware of it all. Could be worse...could be waiting to see if you're getting your period or not! Those were definitely NOT the days!

Trying to keep busy so that the time will go a bit faster. Yesterday dragged as I let myself get bored and I ended up getting quite down xx

roarfeckingroarr · 18/10/2020 15:15

Thank you everyone. I am so in love with the wriggly little snuffler. We're being discharged today and I'm so looking forward to having him home.

CurlyMummy1912 · 18/10/2020 15:24

@roarfeckingroarr

Thank you everyone. I am so in love with the wriggly little snuffler. We're being discharged today and I'm so looking forward to having him home.

I'm so glad you are. With my son it took me weeks to fall in love with him. I expected to feel this rush of love - I'm actually a very loving and emotional person - but I didn't. I had to get to know him. Just saying this to you all in case anyone happens to feel the same way - it's totally ok to take some time to love your baby! Xxxx

LST87 · 18/10/2020 15:47

@CurlyMummy1912 that’s refreshing to hear, I love my new little girl and would do anything for her but It’s not the overwhelming feeling of love I expected straight away, taking time to adjust to life with a new baby and the lack of time to myself, and the constant worry that something is wrong with her and I have no idea what I’m doing and failing her. Congratulation to all the new arrivals they are all making their appearances quickly now.

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 18/10/2020 17:30

Anyone else got a rock hard bump? Lots of movement still, just feels so uncomfortable!
