Hi all. Haven’t used this before so no idea if I’m using it right.
I’m from Glasgow and currently just over 4 weeks with my first pregnancy. Very excited and terrified at the same time.

@mrswilso so sorry, take care of yourself 💖

@rosegoldivy ahh yes I really never thought of that to be honest, probably the best explanation!

Just got my appointment through for 20 week scan, 10th December.. nightmare as my eldest will be getting out of school before I manage to get home so not really sure what I can do!

sunnysideup3 · 22/10/2020 14:50

@mrswilso I am so sorry. Take care of yourself. Sending you a virtual hug x

ladymary86 · 22/10/2020 16:02

@mrswilso so sorry to hear this! I hope you're ok. Sending big hugs!

rosegoldivy · 22/10/2020 18:42

@queenbee95 you could phone them and ask if they could change the time or the date of the appointment? I phoned last time to ask if I could change the date of my 12 week scan as I wanted it before Xmas and they managed to reschedule it for me.
Worth a try 😊

@gaxy1 hello and welcome! The more the merrier!

GrandTheftWalrus · 22/10/2020 20:40

I changed my scan last time as it was during my 2 nights on at work. Just changed it for the next day. So I might need to do the same again

ScottishStardust · 22/10/2020 20:42

Sorry to hear your news @mrswilso - please take care of yourself! Thanks

I've just started 'baby aspirin' due to my BMI... realised it's dissolvable stuff and want to cry! I'd rather just tablets!

CardiganBlobby · 22/10/2020 20:46

Look after yourself @mrswilso

singleandttc · 22/10/2020 21:10

@ScottishStardust you can still just swallow the dispersible aspirin. Be quick because it will dissolve in your mouth, but it's much better.

Daffodil21 · 22/10/2020 21:11

@ScottishStardust is baby aspirin just aspirin? I need to start taking that from next week too (if all ok tomorrow). Are the same thing?

Daffodil21 · 22/10/2020 21:15

Actually I've just looked and it just says 75mg aspirin. Is 'baby aspirin' any different..?

swiftt · 22/10/2020 21:17

@Daffodil21 baby aspirin is the 75mg stuff :)

Daffodil21 · 22/10/2020 21:22

@swiftt ah ok, thank you! Never taken aspirin before so no idea on normal doses etc!

ScottishStardust · 22/10/2020 22:42

No it's just usual aspirin but lower dose than the standard from the shop (although I believe some shops do lower doses!). Sorry for the confusion.

Good to know about just swallowing the tablet though @singleandttc that'll be tomorrow nights trick!! Thanks

barbiemummy20 · 23/10/2020 09:30

@ScottishStardust I will be on it too following my scan next week, I am getting consultant lead because of BMI, are you? They just said will get extra scans etc.

12 weeks today and nausea has turned into daily sickness hallelujah atleast once sick I feel better than the all day long nausea, 1st hospital scan on Tuesday and then we are going to tell our DD, I feel so bad for her she keeps appearing when I am being sick or feeling lousy so have had to tell her I had a poorly tummy after eating something yucky and trying to not make her worry, we bought her a book about what's happening to so we can read that together and help her understand!

Hope everyone is keeping well xx

ScottishStardust · 23/10/2020 09:34

Hi @barbiemummy20 they haven't said out loud but looking at my notes in the app in Midwife / Consultant led so maybe a bit of both? Yeah I already have my 28 weeks scan date booked in, but not my 20 weeks haha! I was 12 weeks yesterday with my scan on Tuesday as well - I just started the aspirin yesterday as I know my dates are accurate (previous private early scan).

Glad you're feeling better. I've been lucky and not been feeling too bad! Just the tiredness hits me hard after a full days work! I feel for anyone who has had morning sickness, unsure how I would have coped!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 23/10/2020 10:09

@ScottishStardust @barbiemummy20 do you mind me asking what your BMI has to be before its consultant led? Thanks Smile

Not good news today I'm afraid. HGC not even close to doubling so now on the way to the EPU, but it's pretty much just to confirm at this point

TheDaydreamBelievers · 23/10/2020 12:38

@Daffodil21 I am so sorry, take good care of yourself and all my best wishes
