Morning everyone.

Does anyone here not have sickness at all...? I felt sick during the night for about 4 night a couple of weeks ago, but now totally fine and eating literally anything I want. I don't fancy anything in particular like a craving and I'm not put off by anything either. One of the meds I'm on apparently makes you hungry all the time so I'm wondering if this is almost counteracting anything? Hoping it's not a bad sign... I just can't relate to any of the posts saying about sickness!

@Fruitloops34 hope all went ok today!

Daffodil21 · 21/10/2020 11:14

That is absolutely not meant as an insensitive stealth boast to those who are suffering with sickness! Genuinely concerned I'm not experiencing it...

CardiganBlobby · 21/10/2020 11:46

@Daffodil21My nausea has actually gone down quite a bit in the last week which I am super grateful about. I still get a horrible feeling if I am a bit too hungry but otherwise not bad at all here.

It is always a concern when something changes though - so part of me is obviously still worrying ha.

GrandTheftWalrus · 21/10/2020 11:53

Morning all.

How is everyone? Had my booking app today. Took 20 mins on the phone as the midwife knew all my answers from last time. So been referred for my scan so hopefully get the date soon. Bloods to be taken and flu jag next week. Then I won't see her again till I'm 23wks.

I might be getting referred to a doctor as well as they found fibroids at my last pregnancy and when I had my miscarriage.

But finally getting somewhere now.

sunnysideup3 · 21/10/2020 12:10

@Daffodil21 mine comes and goes. Some days are ok, some days are pretty bad. I've never been sick, I just have a constant nausea that gets worse if think about food.
I've heard many pregnant women don't have nausea, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Daffodil21 · 21/10/2020 12:16

Thanks @sunnysideup3 and @CardiganBlobby. I should just stop speculating and wait for my blood results on Friday..!

barbiemummy20 · 21/10/2020 12:16

I have only been sick a handful of times but I wake up in the night and in morning feeling so sick I had to sit down in shower this morning as I felt so sick but nothing came of it it just hangs about all day 😢 I feel like my stumoch is getting so big and I am definitely feeling pregnant now and considering my maternity leggings 😂 I have my 1st scan next Tuesday with hospital feeling so nervous xx

PandemicBabyPlz · 21/10/2020 12:20

@Fruitloops34 best of luck for your scan!

@Daffodil21 I have yet to experience anything symptom wise except tender boobs, headaches and oddly increased appetite. Likewise, I don’t want to speak too soon as it could be just around the corner, especially aware of those suffering with sickness and how awful it sounds. It worries me a little as I dread to think it’s because I’m not progressing. I’m only 8 weeks give or take so who knows what’s to come!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/10/2020 13:02

@Daffodil21 I'm being generally a bit silent because apart from a bit of boob iinflation/sensitivity (esp nips), very very occasional faint nausea (like once every 4 days) and occasional tiredness (about once a week), I feel pretty normal! I feel a bit guilty as some people are feeling awful.

Most of my posts on this and the forum in general are more about anxiety that something has secretly gone wrong than anything else!

I did have one unusual symptom this morning - my bloat was lopsided so one side of my lower belly was much more prominent than the other! Grin

Hey everyone!

Scan went well! The wee one was moving about all over the place except the way the sonography ended wanted him to go!

Everything is as healthy as can be for 12 weeks. Due date confirmed as 5th May like I thought.

Pic is of the wee one sucking their thumb! My wee heart melted when I seen it!

singleandttc · 21/10/2020 13:22

@Fruitloops34 what a lovely photo! That's so cute!

I picked up my prescription for cyclizine this morning and I just ate lunch without wanting to throw up! Fingers crossed it's not just first time luck.

It must be an anxious time for everyone who doesn't feel sick. Though I hate the sickness part of me knows it means I'm pregnant and it's nice to "feel" pregnant. I just wish it wasn't such torture.

sunnysideup3 · 21/10/2020 13:24

@Fruitloops34 aww so glad all is well! Great picture!

I've jinxed myself by saying I don't have much nausea. I've been feeling awful since lunchtime. Today is one of the worse days for me 😓

Fruitloops34 · 21/10/2020 16:00

Thanks all!

Glad that part is out the way. Can tell people now. 😊

Someone will need to start a second trimester thread soon.....(not me lol)

Welliedays · 21/10/2020 16:09

I've had my scan too @fruitloops34, mine was also sucking it's thumb, but refused to get into any kind of position they needed and they had me doing alsorts..so I have to go back in a fortnight so they can date me 😂 not complaining, means I get to see it again!

Queenbee95 · 21/10/2020 16:44

Aw what a lovely pic @Fruitloops34 💕

rosegoldivy · 21/10/2020 18:52

Aww glad there has been some good scans and some good pics of happy babies. Makes it so exciting.

I don't think we should split the chat into trimesters and just all plod along together through it, feel like we're all just getting to know one another so be a shame to split up 🤣

Those without morning sickness.... I envy you. I've been sick 6 times today 😫😭 so over this first trimester

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/10/2020 20:57

I like that @rosegoldivy - we could just stay as a club!

@Welliedays @Fruitloops34 - soooo cute with the thumb sucking

Just looking through scan notes and I’ve realised she didn’t tell me where my placenta was, it’s not written down either. I assume it’s posterior then??

I had an anterior with my 2nd, which I would hope I didn’t have this time again hence the questioning.. anyone know?

Fruitloops34 · 22/10/2020 09:52

So glad we are going to keep this chat going. Here was me thinking you were going to throw me out in a weeks time haha!

@Queenbee95 funny enough I wasn’t told that either and looking at my notes it doesn’t mention it.

Queenbee95 · 22/10/2020 10:19

@Fruitloops34 I would’ve thought they could say where the placenta is at 12 weeks, I’m just assuming it’s posterior this time (which I’m hoping). Suppose I could ask my midwife when I see her in a few weeks

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/10/2020 10:58

Do, does anyone know when we are meant to get the glow, the long nails, the nice skin, the thick hair? I feel like I look awful!

OP posts:
rosegoldivy · 22/10/2020 10:59

@queenbee95 I might be wrong here and this is a total guess but I think at 12 weeks the placenta and positioning of everything can all change and because baby is still so small it's maybe not an issue at this stage and maybe that's why it's not noted down, think once your at 20weeks and they scan you and your looking out for movements and things is when it can be more of an issue...... Maybe? Maybe clutching at straws here 🤣

mrswilso · 22/10/2020 11:36

I didn't get good news today girls. I'm heartbroken 😔
Thanks for being such a lovely supportive group - you've all kept me sane the past couple of weeks and it's been much appreciated. Wishing you all the most happy healthy pregnancies 💕

Fruitloops34 · 22/10/2020 11:46

@mrswilso

I’m so so sorry. Please take it easy and don’t be too hard on yourself.
Sending lots of love 💕

singleandttc · 22/10/2020 11:55
