How you getting on? @Daffodil21 - thinking of you 💕

ScottishStardust · 18/10/2020 10:04

@Welliedays that's the other thing a lot of my symptoms have dropped, but I am also telling myself that because I'm 11w 3d then this could be completely normal?

Guess it'll just be a waiting game! Fingers crossed!

Welliedays · 18/10/2020 10:09

Yes completely normal @scottishstardust, especially at 11 weeks, when the placenta starts to take over your symptoms reduce. Mine disappeared at 7 weeks which is why I was so worried about my scan as I thought that's far too early, turns out I was actually 8 weeks by then so that can be quite normal as that's when the placenta can start taking over a bit (I did a lot of Dr Google-ing 😂)

Daffodil21 · 18/10/2020 10:26

@mrswilso I'm ok I suppose, just waiting. I haven't had any blood since Friday night, but I have zero pregnancy symptoms. I just feel like a drugged up zombie most of the time. I've read that some of the medication I'm on (progesterone in particular) can mask pregnancy symptoms but can also mask miscarriage. I'm supposed to be self isolating due to taking immunity suppressants but I'm going to try and get a couple of blood tests next week to check my HGC levels.

How are you? I open Thursday doesn't take too long to get here for you x

ScottishStardust · 18/10/2020 10:28

Fingers crossed @Welliedays and hopefully I'm just being silly! I'm thinking a day off the internet may be good! Never crossed my mind until reading posts so need to get back to it's out of my control thinking!

Hope everyone else is doing fine!

mrswilso · 18/10/2020 10:37

@Daffodil21 the waiting is rubbish - I really hope everything's okay for you, it's really good that the bleeding eased 🤞🏻✨
I'm doing okay, it's killing me not knowing too. I bled really lightly from Monday to Thursday and it eased off on Friday and had none yesterday.
I didn't really feel like I had many symptoms before so don't really have much to compare this week. Done a CB digital today like they had advised last weekend and it's come up "2-3 weeks" again...was really hoping to see that "3+" for a bit more reassurance 🥺 trying not to read too much into it though as I know they're not 100% accurate...

Daffodil21 · 18/10/2020 10:46

@mrswilso I'm glad it's eased but I'm not under any false sense of security because of it. My DH suggested doing a digi today but I refuse. I just can't deal with it and they're not too reliable on dates apparently (so try and take it with a pinch of salt if you can). Just going to be on the fence until a blood test I think. I might look at a scan next week but we'll see. I don't want one if it's internal and I think I'm 6+2 today so likely it would be internal at this point. Hate this!

mrswilso · 18/10/2020 10:51

@Daffodil21 I really wouldn't bother with the digital - having done it myself today it's not worth it, was a little deflating. But like you said - pinch of salt cos everyone online seems to be saying the same thing...not that I've been googling or anything 👀🤣
I said to hubby the other day we need to try to be "positive but prepared" ✨

Hope everyone's having a lovely Sunday morning 😌💕

Daffodil21 · 18/10/2020 11:04

@mrswilso 'positive but prepared' is very sensible. My DH seems to be in denial a bit. I said my concerns and he seems to have an answer for everything 'it's the medication' etc etc. I don't feel pregnant at all and I don't see how he can have his head in the sand when we have been through this twice already. I think he thinks all the drugs are a magic fix when in reality they could be doing nothing whatsoever

mrswilso · 18/10/2020 11:11

@Daffodil21 sending hugs 💕 mine is a bit of an eternal optimist too - which is great but I was explaining to him the other day, sometimes I just need five or ten minutes of brutal realism in these situations 😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 18/10/2020 11:13

It's so hard and I'm wishing you guys all the best . I'm finding it hard without a history of losses - I wish the NHS did regular bloods to check hcg rises. I cant imagine how those with a history of loss must be feeling!

I just dont feel v pregnant (all my symptoms are pretty mjnimal and have been throughout). 2 weeks 1 day seems a long way away still (when my scan is). Still trying to hold out for that as I dont think an earlier private scan would really help me.

Daffodil21 · 18/10/2020 11:24

@mrswilso yeah it's not helpful when the other person doesn't share your concerns (I'm glad he doesn't as much I suppose)

@TheDaydreamBelievers IME early scans are super stressful and often don't give you any answers or give you a false sense of security, so if you can avoid it until later then I would! I'm in two minds about an early scan this time - I probably will have one but I'll see what my HCG is doing first (if anything 🙄)

TheDaydreamBelievers · 18/10/2020 11:27

Thanks @Daffodil21! I think I will try to wait for the scan. Remind me how far along you are? I'm just on 8wks

Just typed a post and it didn't send, so apologies if there's a double post!

@TheDaydreamBelievers I think I'm 6+2 today. I have varied cycles and didn't bother with OPKs last month, so it's a guess but a reasonably accurate one I think?!
Hope the next two weeks doesn't drag tooo much for you!

I think I'm going to take my negativity and bugger off for the day - sorry for bringing it down!

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday x

mrswilso · 18/10/2020 11:53

@Daffodil21 no need to apologise - I've been a wee worrying pain in the bum this week on here but the way I see it, I'd rather see someone posting and help them feel a bit better than not see any posts at all 💕 try to have a good day 💕
@TheDaydreamBelievers it's really down to whether you feel it would help you mentally or the not...I went into mine fully ready to see absolutely nothing but I really needed to see what was going on inside me for my mental health. If all's well on Thursday I'll most likely end up booking another one before my 12 week scan (which ironically came through the post yesterday morning...another moment that I couldn't let myself get excited about 🥺) maybe around 9/10 weeks just because I know I'll probably worry for about it all for a while now...
If I were you I wouldn't bother unless you're really really struggling 💕

sakuramiyagi · 18/10/2020 17:46

Evening ladies. I'll probably be dropping off the thread shortly. I took myself for a private scan today and the sonographer could only find an empty gestational sac measuring a couple of days behind my expected 9w4d.

Pretty certain that I've had another missed miscarriage, although I assume it was very early.

The EPU are going to see me on Tuesday morning before what would have been my booking in appointment.

I'll hang on just incase there has been a huge mistake but I doubt it.

swiftt · 18/10/2020 17:50

@sakuramiyagi so, so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you x

rosegoldivy · 18/10/2020 21:30

@sakuramiyagi I'm so sorry. Please do take care of yourself ❤️❤️

Queenbee95 · 19/10/2020 07:15

Anyone else had enough of headaches?
I wake up every morning, without fail, with the worst headache ever and it gets better but doesn’t fully go away. So I’m stuck all day moaning about my head, sure DH wants to take it off sometimes 😅

Queenbee95 · 19/10/2020 07:16

So sorry @sakuramiyagi I will keep everything crossed for you. Take care of yourself x

PandemicBabyPlz · 19/10/2020 08:57

@sakuramiyagi keeping you in my thoughts and hoping the best for you xx

sunnysideup3 · 19/10/2020 10:35

@sakuramiyagi so sorry to hear that. Wishing you all the best.

sunnysideup3 · 19/10/2020 10:40

The weekend was tough for me - just feeling exhausted without even doing anything. It's frustrating, I'm not used to being lazy haha. Also my boobs have been sore for about 3 weeks now 😭

Queenbee95 · 19/10/2020 12:06

@sunnysideup3 I feel the same, napped through last two days and it’s really not like me. I’ve had a horrid headache/migraine for 5 days now so maybe that’s why I’m napping. Just feel like crap.

Eldest is off school for the week now too, it’s gonna be a long, hard week

Fruitloops34 · 19/10/2020 13:25

How’s it going today ladies?

Yesterday I thought I’d turned a corner, had so much energy I bounced out of bed. Went to the shops, to visit my mum, my mother in law. Ate loads of food with minimal nausea and really thought oh yes this is it!

Today woke up and can barely keep my eyes open, no energy, just generally feel like a bag of spanners.

When is this phase where everyone glows and you feel amazing, I’m 11+5 so I really hope it’s soon!
