@Sansa87 I’m sure everything is fine. The pain in the vagina is probably uterus stretching, mine felt like my insides were going to fall out, it’s a very weird feeling.

For peace of mind maybe call midwife or EPU and see what they say. Don’t stress until there is something to stress about.

Sansa87 · 30/09/2020 07:12

@Littlebee1990 EPU have me booked in for an “emergency” scan on Friday, but I can go in for them to prod fo today if I wanted to. They’ve suggested I’ve wait to see if bleeding gets heavy, or if the pain is so extreme I need a&e

Oh called my boss so I’m in bed, rocking back and forth because paracetamol doesn’t work.

Keep trying to hold on to the stats of 2 mc’s in a row, & a mc after seeing a hb at 8 weeks, but the pain, loss of symptoms, and bleeding yesterday greatly overshadows that.

Littlebee1990 · 30/09/2020 07:15

@Sansa87 Rest and stay hydrated. Can you try another EPU see if they have anything sooner? I know so many people who have had bleeds and all has been ok but I fully understand your fear x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/09/2020 07:55

@Sansa87 I'm hoping for the best for you. Have your cramps gotten any worse? The bleeding having stopped is a good sign, no? I hope the EPU can reassure you

choccychar · 30/09/2020 07:56

@Sansa87 sending you the best wishes. Hope all is ok and the pain subsides x

UnicornAndSparkles · 30/09/2020 10:07

Hope you're ok @Sansa87, don't hold back going to EPU, it might help reassure you or else they could offer some pain relief. Is someone with you? x

Sansa87 · 30/09/2020 10:16

@UnicornAndSparkles I’m on my own 😕

UnicornAndSparkles · 30/09/2020 10:26

@Sansa87 can you phone anyone and get them to come to you just for a bit of support? A partner or parent or friend? Might help x

MayBAE21 · 30/09/2020 12:32

Hi ladies. I'm finally biting the bullet and enjoying in. I've been following along from the very beginning but too scared / shy to jump in. How do I join the FB group? Is the group 100% private / closed?

I'm 9weeks today. EDD May 5th. 6week scan showed a beautiful strong heartbeat. 8week scan showed everything is ticking along as it should. My consultant said he was happy for us to return at 12weeks but we've booked in for 10weeks and also getting my NIPT blood draw at the same time. Crazy to think we'll know if our little peanut is a boy or girl in less than two weeks!

Wishing everyone happy and healthy pregnancies. So glad I have found such a lovely bunch of ladies to share this exciting and nerve racking journey with! Thanks

clm1987 · 30/09/2020 15:32

Hi everyone. I'm having a bit of light bleeding but trying to gauge how normal it is or how worried I should be is so hard. I have a scan booked at the EPU on Friday but just looking for some reassurance as it feels so long to wait. I know I'm lucky to be seen that quickly but it's hard.

Intrigued2020 · 30/09/2020 16:03

@clm1987 - How far along are you? I’ve been bleeding consistently for the past 17 days and the GP has assured me that this is normal and that I shouldn’t worry unless I have pain. Have you had any pain or just the blood? I know it’s really hard not to worry! I’ve felt really frustrated recently because no matter how hard I try the GP won’t refer me for an early scan :( I’ve booked a private scan for the 14th of October just to reassure myself xx

mantha84 · 30/09/2020 16:10

Hi everyone. Tentatively dipping my toe in. According to the calculator I'm 6 weeks with my first. Found out a week ago and it was pretty unexpected! Feeling calmer than I thought I would do (I'm a bit of a worrier). Although the covid situation is on my mind as I'm a beauty therapist so work in close contact with people 😕 is anyone else in a similar position? Stupid covid!
I didn't even realise you could get scans early on so thanks to you all for that information. Not sure if I'd do one but it's something to think about!
My symptoms have been tiredness, mega thirst, a bit of a queasy acidic tummy and crampy aches . My backs started acheing too up near my bra so I'm not sure if that's a thing? Anyway looking forward to hearing everyone's journey 😃

imisscoffee · 30/09/2020 16:24

@TheDaydreamBeliever I'm around 6 weeks, last time I had a big 's' shaped pillow that zipped into a seat/nest for baby but it wasn't great to sleep with, so I had a 'c' shaped one and a little wedge. Wedge was great for bump later down the line.

Thinking of you @Sansa87, hope you're ok.

Sansa87 · 30/09/2020 18:56

Thanks girls, still in a lot of pain & very anxious. Keep having to focus on my breathing

I don’t want to go to a&e as god knows how many hours I’ll be in there, plus I’d be on my own.

MayBAE21 · 01/10/2020 04:07

@Sansa87 Has the bleeding stopped? Pls go to A&E if it gets worse. You're not wasting anyone's time and it's important you get medical help if you need it.

Thinking of you. Pls keep us posted. Thanks

Sansa87 · 01/10/2020 06:56

@MayBAE21 Thankyou. No bleeding or discharge, but still have period like cramps, & zero oh symptoms. My boobs no longer feel heavy at all, my nipples have gone back to being super soft.

In my head, I’ve had a mmc, & I have no hope of seeing a hb at scan tomorrow morning.

I keep hoping I just overdone it at work the beginning of the week (it’s a very Manual, physical job with lots of lifting). & maybe just aggravated it, but that wouldn’t account of loss of symptoms, & that would be too much of a coincidence for it all to happen at once.

NRDoss · 01/10/2020 09:32

I was actually looking for follow-up thread and joined in another May 2021 thread.. hope all are feeling good today.

@Sansa87 oh no.. I'm so sorry to hear your symptoms.. is it possible to get the scan pushed to today? Thinking and praying for you xx

Sansa87 · 01/10/2020 09:34

@NRDoss they said there was no one available to scan until Friday, which does seem silly because surely there has to be some one, otherwise how would they diagnose an ectopic.

I’m feel okay as long as I lay in bed, & try not to think about lack of symptoms. Where I’m not having any pain atm, it’s quite easy to just try not to think about it.

Gingergeek89 · 01/10/2020 09:48

@Sansa87 so sorry to read what has been going on and I hope that you are okay. Fingers crossed for you for the scan tomorrow x

@Sansa87 just hold on for a day.. hope everything goes fine for you in tomorrow's scan xx

RustyCat · 01/10/2020 12:30

@Sansa87 fingers crossed for tomorrow's scan! Just take it easy today on yourself, get other people to do things for you so you can rest in bed.

UnicornAndSparkles · 01/10/2020 17:05

Thinking of you @Sansa87

MayBAE21 · 02/10/2020 06:58

Hey ladies - need some advice. My skin had been awful. The pores a round my jaw line are really blocked and now the area is becoming inflamed. Im washing twice a day and moisturising at night but I'm still waking up extremely oily and with flaky skin at the same time. Brand new little whiteheads appearing everyday!

Does anyone have any recommendation of products that's safe during pregnancy. I'm at my wits end and it's so painful.

UnicornAndSparkles · 02/10/2020 07:25

My skin is awful too! Im making sure I thoroughly cleanse every night to make sure it doesn't get worse and use a vitamin c cream. I follow caroline hirons and Sally Hughes for skincare advice but I think the breakouts are normal in pregnancy sadly.

MayBAE21 · 02/10/2020 08:11

@Sansa87 What time is your scan today. Are you able to take someone with you? Thinking of you and hoping it's good news. X

@UnicornAndSparkles It's so irritating. I don't have amazing skin at the best of times but this is something else. I'm going to switch my moisturiser to something more natural and with no fragrance. Praying it settles down soon. It's so sore!
