@Workingmama1 aw its awful isnt it! im not eating much the last few days whereas when i found out i was pregnant i wanted everything. iv just had a freddo and some tea just to get some sugar in my system but the thought of dinner is just not appealing to me at all.

glastogal · 05/08/2020 13:10

@Sunny555 I've had dizziness when getting up but I'm not sure if that predates my pregnancy! I worry I will be put on iron supplements.

My son is an IVF baby so I understand the extra layer of worry that comes with early pregnancy when you've had fertility treatment. Here to lend an ear if you need one.

Kristy17 · 05/08/2020 13:15

Congratulations to all those with new BFPs tests 😊

@RosieJess91 oooh I’m in Eastleigh so down the road, actually lived in Southampton in Shirley/Freemantle until we moved the end of March!

I think I’m going to stick to the Facebook group for now 😊

Mamainmaking1 · 05/08/2020 13:21

Hi guys can I be added in? I am 12dpo and got my BFP (faint) 3 days ago on a frer. I was due to start my period on monday and gave 22 day cycles. Yesterday was a stronger clear positive line but today's line was visable but slightly fainter. I haven't received a positive on the clear blue tests yet which is also somewhat worrying as should I not of reached 25hcg by now? I have been having some small amounts of brown discharge since Monday and today I noticed a tiny bit of red blood mixed with cm twice when wiping. I don't know if I'm minds playing tricks with me but I don't feel as sick as I did yesterday and im so afraid to ring the Dr to get checked because I don't want to be pushed off the waiting list for fertility treatment if I need it. Does anyone have any advice or is it just a wait and see game? If I went to the Dr would there be anything they could do for me ? Thanks everyone

Amy00 · 05/08/2020 13:59

Congratulations @Sunny555 🥳 I'm sure I've read that dizziness is totally normal and due to blood being redirected as you say. I'd take it as a positive symptom for sure 🙌

I'm 4+3 and also lost my previous pregnancy at 5 weeks - absolute bag of nerves at the moment!

@Workingmama1 nausea is a good sign 🥳 (these forums are the only place it is good to be feeling sick 😂)

Congratulations on your BFP @lizzzyy 😊

@Mamainmaking1 I would say the tests can be affected by how dilute your fmu is so it is not always easy to see clear progression (and the doctors say not to use the tests this way although obviously we all do 🙈) and that clear blue are less sensitive as you say you need to get up to 25hcg to get a line on some of them. 12 dpo is still early for a lot of tests - frer I think is 6hcg and it doubles in your system every 48 hours, so 3 days later could only be like 15hcg? And some spotting is normal in early pregnancy but is obviously something we all worry about. I've got my fingers crossed for you x

mrsmummy1111 · 05/08/2020 14:02

Welcome @Mamainmaking1 and tentative congrats on the BFP!

Truthfully, at this stage, there's absolutely 0 a dr could do for you. Your pregnancy either will or won't progress regardless of any medical intervention to try and encourage it to stick. At this point sadly, it is just a waiting game. It's nigh on impossible to do so, but the best thing you can do is wait 48 hours, give your body a chance to progress and then test again. The line should be stronger if everything is going well, bet either way in 48h you'll have a much better idea of what's going on.

Fingers and toes crossed for you! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

GanderousGoose · 05/08/2020 14:03

@pineapplejuice20 hi is it ok to PM you on here instead of emailing?

Mamainmaking1 · 05/08/2020 14:31

@mrsmummy1111 @Amy00 Thanks so much I really hope I'm just over reacting and I'm letting my mind play tricks on me. It just unnerved me not getting a darker line and then the slight red blood but I have just to accept what will be will be and there's nothing anyone can do to prevent nature taking its course. The clear blue website told me that tomorrow would be the first day I could take their early detection test so I'm holding on to some hope that my levels are normal ATM - must be something to do with how short my periods are. How many weeks are you both? How are you feeling?Smile

Sunny555 · 05/08/2020 14:38

@glastogal Thanks for your response and for offering an ear. It's lovely to hear when people have been successful with IVF. It's been such a hard journey so far so I'm hoping and praying that luck will finally get on our side!

@Amy00 I really appreciate the reassurance.

@PreggersMcPreggers I'm in a similar boat - I'll get back to the office and then all being well announce our news! I quite like that I might be home whilst going though the 12 week symptoms, especially if I'm in need of daily naps!

penny92 · 05/08/2020 14:40

I'm out guys. Sad

I did a Clear Blue which went from 2-3 weeks 10 days ago, to 1-2 weeks, and so I booked an appointment with the GP. HCG came back today as 62u/L which was very low for 6 weeks. I have a follow up blood test tomorrow, but I have begun bleeding a lot this afternoon. Feeling whacked, totally exhausted, and really disappointed. It was my first pregnancy, so I'm trying to take from it that at least I can get pregnant. I'm just hoping next time I will make it through to meeting my baby.

Good luck to the rest of you with your pregnancies and sticky beans, and I hope I can drop in again in a few months with some good news. Fingers crossed.

2020wish · 05/08/2020 14:48

@penny92 I’m so sorry :( did u have any other inklings that something wasn’t right before u took the test? X

Jigglypuff88 · 05/08/2020 14:50

@penny92 I am so sorry to hear that and I hope you are being looked after. If it is of any support, I too had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy but went on to have a healthy baby. Take care xxx

penny92 · 05/08/2020 14:56

Thanks so much @2020wish and @Jigglypuff88 .

I had nothing to compare it to so I didn't really know but I did have constant cramping, however I know that is super normal too.

I was testing to see the line get darker - which I know isn't recommended - but ultimately it helped me spot the problem and anticipate, which I think had helped me today with the bleeding as I had already begun to process the loss.

glastogal · 05/08/2020 15:06

Really sorry to hear that @penny92 I hope you're doing ok Thanks take care of yourself and I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

2020wish · 05/08/2020 15:09

@penny92 I’ve had a few early losses so I know how u feel... with my second in April I was testing daily and although lines where getting darker they still weren’t that dark and my weeks indicator only went to 2-3 weeks at nearly 6 weeks then 1-2 at 6+4 when I started bleeding. It was such a shock to me as I was in denial and was told constantly those week indicator aren’t accurate even tho I was making sure I used first morning wee. So I knew Deep down something was off. My loss after that one my lines didn’t get darker at all then just went negative few days before I started bleeding so I was more prepared.. it’s so hard. I know exactly how u are feeling, be kind to urself and go and treat urself to something nice and glass of wine. You rainbow will come, as u say, you can get pregnant so it will happen xx

penny92 · 05/08/2020 15:14

Thank you @glastogal.

It's good to know I'm not alone, thanks @2020wish - and yes, 100%, a wine will be enjoyed tonight, and a bath. My DP is being wonderful, as is my sister and mum who I had told early.... and no regrets that I did. The people you tell early on will be there for you for the good, the bad and the ugly.

Wishing all of you the absolute best.

Charus19 · 05/08/2020 15:15

I’m so sorry @penny92

Bouncytree · 05/08/2020 15:17

@penny92 I’m so sorry you are going through this. This happened me 2 months ago. Its gutting. I found it easier once the bleeding Stopped, less upsetting. Know that there is nothing you did to make this happen, and it is very normal, though devastating.

I know it doesn’t seem like it now but you will get your BFP and it will stick. And one loss doesn’t mean it will keep happening, in fact it’s less likely in further pregnancies...only 1-2% of workmen have 2 in a row.

Sending kind thoughts 🤗

whiteolive · 05/08/2020 15:18

@penny92 I’m sorry to hear this. Look after yourself. Like you say the silver lining is that you can get pregnant but it sometimes doesn’t make the devastating feeling any better. Been there and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone . Sending good vibes that you get your sticky bean and when that does happen we will of course love to hear the news! Take care xxx

Hi all can I join ? Haven't been able to read through whole thread !
Got my postive on frer this morning. I didn't believe it at first just had a postive on cheapie test ! So starting to believe it but so scared about miscarriage. Bit about me I'm a young single person with a condtion which might effect my fertility. I did this vier a donor, not through clinic. Went down twice during fertile days first month trying. 10 hour round trip with a hotel! Got peak opk 22 and 25 so not 100% when I ovulated either 8dpo or 12. Due around the 20th

Kristy17 · 05/08/2020 16:29
