I definitely have a bump. But it's my 2nd and apparently you show earlier with each pregnancy. I didn't show until 25ish weeks with my first, and started showing at 8/9 weeks with this one... I'd hate to think how quick I'd show if I had another lol.

NotOnlyCatMum · 26/07/2020 06:34

I'm due on the 7th as well, first baby :)
Mine is definitely bloating, its huge in the evening but smaller in the mornings. I have my scan on Tuesday morning.

babydust2412 · 26/07/2020 08:11

Mine looks like bloat too, it's a different size throughout the day 😂

I'm due in Feb, a lot of people have moved over to the fb group now!

Piccalily19 · 26/07/2020 09:26

Glad it’s not just me then! Wake up feeling quite normal sized, just have to look at my breakfast and i balloon out haha. Ive been using a hair bobble as a make do jean button extender 😂
@OkyDoke could you send the fb page please? I remember seeing one ages ago but I was a bit hesitant to join so early on!

OkyDoke · 26/07/2020 09:29

@Piccalily19 can you send me a PM with a link to your Facebook and I'll see what I can do!

How are we all feeling this morning ladies? 😊❤️

Safxxx · 27/07/2020 10:51

@babydust2412 how are You? My breathlessness is quite bad, at times feel like I've not got enough oxygen. Feeling more and more tired too. Xxx

Safxxx · 27/07/2020 10:53

@Piccalily19
@NotOnlyCatMum
Hope all goes well for your scans on Mon/Tues
Let us know how it goes. Xxx

babydust2412 · 27/07/2020 11:53

@Safxxx I am exactly the same! I try and take a deep breath and just can't seem to 😂 also very tired but not sleeping very well and get up about 4 times to wee in the night 😂 xx

OP posts:
Safxxx · 27/07/2020 12:21

@babydust2412 yeah same, but now I try not to drink late in the evening so I can control my bladder. Sometimes that doesn't work I wake up being thirsty and go and drink big glass of water in the night 😂 and is it me or even let's not thirst or pee, I still wake up few times in the night. Not getting my full nights sleep, I think that's why I feel more tired and lethargic during the day. Xx

Muriel84 · 27/07/2020 13:27

I am absolutely shattered today. I can barely keep my eyes open. Pretty sure it’s a combination of multiple trips to the loo during the night plus waking early with anxiety. Oh and work probably doesn’t help. I can’t seem to get comfortable in bed, I used to sleep on my front.

Also quite short of breath. Glad it’s not just me!

Good luck ladies with scans this week!

babydust2412 · 27/07/2020 14:24

@Muriel84 @Safxxx we are clearly all experiencing the same things which is nice ❤️ Thankyou, my scan is on Wednesday I'll be 13+1 x

BattenburgBerry · 27/07/2020 14:52

Hi Ladies, can I join you? I’ve been trying to find an active thread. I’m pregnant with my first baby, I’m 37 so feeling like one of the older ones! I’m 9+4 today, due 25th Feb and I’m having my booking in appt over the phone later this week. I had a private scan last week that my husband came to with me, so lovely to see the little baby wriggling around. Waiting for a date for my 12 week scan. I’m feeling ok, had some very nauseous days but it seems to be passing and I’m not feeling quite as tired as 3/4 weeks ago. I’m managing to keep active though and am exercising every day, mainly to combat the bloated-ness!
I am struggling with it not feeling real though, I still can’t believe there’s a baby inside me, possibly to do with the fact that it came around quite quick, we caught the second month off the pill which I really wasn’t expecting. Not sure when it will start to feel real and when I’ll bond with baby, feels odd talking to it, wish I didn’t feel this way. Does anyone else feel the same? Any tips?

Safxxx · 27/07/2020 15:16

@babydust2412 Awe nice hope scan goes well. Do share your experience with us afterwards. Xxx
Mine seems far off yet 12th August

Muriel84 · 27/07/2020 15:25

Hi @BattenburgBerry 👋 congrats on your pregnancy! I think threads have gone quiet as people have moved to Facebook. I don’t use Facebook. I’m 36 in a few months time. Also first pregnancy (tho had two early miscarriages before this one).

@babydust2412 it is good to know we all have similar things going on! I’m looking forward to the hurdle of my 12 week scan next week. Every twinge in my stomach (and there are many) is driving me mad. I could happily have a weekly scan 🙈

Apparently some hospitals are relaxing rules about partners joining in August? Not sure if my hospital is... currently still saying no partners even on postnatal ward!

BattenburgBerry · 27/07/2020 15:30

Thank you @murial84 My local hospital isn’t letting partners in for the 12 week scan but they are welcome to attend the 20 week scan. Partly the reason why we had a private scan last week so we could go together. When the baby appeared on the big screen my hubby jumped up and put his arms in the air, exactly as he would when his football team score a goal! Made me chuckle.

Safxxx · 27/07/2020 16:17

@BatenburghBerry congrats ❤ I guess because it happened quite quickly for you will take time getting used to it. But what your feeling is still normal. I would say the bonding mostly happens when you start feeling the baby move, just makes it more real. Also earlier on were all hormonal and tired so that doesn't help. I think when you see the baby on your next scan and see how it's grown since last time you will be more excited. Just take each day as it comes and try not to worry. I'm 39yrs old this is my 4th pregnancy, and I could tell you this experience is diffrent to the previous ones. Not sure if it's the age or the gap I've had since my last which is over 8yrs... nevertheless I'm happy and feel blessed for another child. Hope it all goes well for me and you and the rest of you all. Xxx

Safxxx · 27/07/2020 16:37

I'm glad some of you are here. I don't have a Facebook account so this thread is where I could only share. Xxx

BattenburgBerry · 27/07/2020 17:09

Thank you @Safxxx that has made me feel so much better, such kind words. I think also because no one knows yet it feels like such a secret.
I’m looking forward to speaking to the midwife this week for booking in, just want to get to the 12 week scan.
I think when I get a proper bump and stop looking so bloated and like I’ve eaten 26 packs of biscuits I’ll be much better. Just takes time.
Fingers crossed for all of us.

Safxxx · 27/07/2020 17:43

@BattenburgBerry I've not told the familý either, so hard to keep it a secret. But I'm waiting for my 12wk scan and if all is well I will annonounce it. Once you have had the scan maybe you could tell too, I reckon it makes it more exciting and real then. I totally understand the bloating 🙄 I feel double the size, I'm surprised no one has asked me about my weight gain, maybe they're too polite to say I'm getting FAT 😂 (the lockdown effect) not wearing off 😂
