@Rosebiscuit aww such a lovely due date! Congratulations!

I normally run and do yoga but I haven’t been since I found out I’m pregnant cos everything I read said not to if your pregnancy was complicated which mine is a bit. Also being very cautious after two early miscarriages. I walk a lot though. Hoping to ask my midwife if I can resume exercise when I eventually meet them. Excited swimming pools are reopening soon.

@babydust2412 I’ve been having loads of discharge! It’s one of my earliest signs. Keeps increasing by the week. Lovely.

Still look like I’m about 20 weeks I’m so bloated! All bran is working well, I think it must be gas. I’m quite slim and I can’t fit in my jeans already 😭

Safxxx · 23/07/2020 16:48

@Muriel84 I too feel very bloated no matter what I eat or drink. My belly sticks out think due to it. Get alot of trapped wind pain 😣

Gonesurfing · 23/07/2020 21:01

@Rosebiscuit RE exercise- I was the same, normally regular gym go-er but been running 2 or 3 times a week since lock down and doing bodypump (weight lifting) classes online the other days. Since i got my BFP its like a switch has been flicked - can barely run and get so out of breath so easily its scary! Cant believe how much my body has changed in those few weeks.

It got me down at first because i love the buzz it gives u, but I've come to terms with il just have to go with it! Trying to walk as much as possible to get the heart rate up!

Nausea has got me to so when I get back from work all i want to do is go to bed!

@Gonesurfing oh same! I’m very cautious now and have swapped the 6.30 lockdown 3me runs for leisurely 30 minute plods but only if it’s not raining or i’m not too knackered. Usually i’d be feeling guilty for not exercising but I don’t at all. Dipping my toe in some pregnancy yoga video too. There are lots of positions that aren’t recommended after 1st tri so i’m trying to learn what’s ok and what’s not! Accidentally did deep side twist on Wednesday so need to get it in my head that I need to be gentler. Congratulations! Nice to know it’s not just me who went from village fittie to couch potato overnight Grin

My symptoms apart from a general feeling of tummy activity have all gone to sleep. Bad news stories freaking me out but trying to be positive. Got my scan invitation through for 5th August. Partner can’t come so I’ve asked him to think about whether we should get another private scan so he can be there. He didn’t come to our viability scan because the scan confirming our mc freaked him out. Have told him the Babybond clinic is much nicer than the hospital. Fingers crossed everything is still ok. Anybody else got their NHS scan coming up?

Gonesurfing · 24/07/2020 09:33

@Rosebiscuit - for me as well looking back I went on a 5k run about 4 days before AF was due and felt sick the whole way round - which i have NEVER had before , even when training for half marathons!! I thought it was strange so did a FRER test which came back negative Hmm...so thought i was out but it was obviously the start of something!!!!

I have mine on the 11th August - il be 12+1 excited/nervous. I went for a private viability scan at 7 weeks which was nice but hubby was not allowed to that one and at the mo wont be allowed to NHS one either - such a shame but trying to think in the bigger picture. I might see if private place will let him in a few weeks, just so he can see the baby live! I have got a recording of the first scan which was nice.

Xxx

babydust2412 · 24/07/2020 10:26

@Gonesurfing I went to a private scan at 8+5 and my boyfriend was allowed in, I went to one of the Window to the Womb clinics so maybe have a look if there's one near you because they let you have one adult come in with you ❤️❤️

@Gonesurfing @babydust2412 Yes Babybond/Ultrasound Direct allow partners and have clinics all over the place. Scans are around £70 and they send stills and video to your mobile. I really would like my partner to experience seeing ‘the thing’ move on the scan as it happens. I’ve seen it twice now and even though the circumstances the second time were terrifying after a bleed, it was magical. I hope it’s ok... apart from feeling a bit fuller in the gut, i’m basically completely normal. Going to ask him again about a private scan the weekend before our Nhs scan. It’s expensive but I think if it was bad news i’d rather be there with him than wandering around the hospital by myself. Need to stop thinking so negatively. I only saw it last week! Just want to get to my next scan. 11 weeks on Sunday! Nearly out of the woods (although I know anything can happen).

Is everyone telling their families? Only my partner and I know. After my mc I don’t want to jinx anything but at the same time I have so many questions I just feel like I really need to talk to my mum. Impossible to tell her without the cat getting out the bag though. Sending everyone happy vibes for a peaceful and healthy weekend xxx

@babydust2412 ohh thank you!! i will have a look at that, i'm midlands based so hopefully there is one nearby. I would love him to experience it, its such a shame they arnt allowed.

@Rosebiscuit i have told my manager as i work with some toxic chemicals so needed them to know that i couldn't do certain tasks. But apart from that only hubby knows!! Its so hard not telling anyone isn't it! Sorry hear about ur MC Thanks i can't imagine how hard that must have been and understand you being cautious, this is why I want to wait until we have the 12 week scan and the screening results back as im one of those people that if something goes wrong i dont want to share it with others, id rather deal with it in my own way - but i totally understand some people need support and respect that also.

When are you ladies due? Mine switches between 20-22nd feb depending with app i use Grin

Rosebiscuit · 24/07/2020 14:28

@Gonesurfing thank you

Safxxx · 24/07/2020 16:01

@Rosebiscuit try to remain positive, you come this far, and you have had a recent scan which shows things are going well.
Now just enjoy each day as it comes, go with the flow, worrying will only stress you out, which is not good for you or baby. Come on get those positive vibes going 🤗

Mummy120494 · 24/07/2020 21:53

I was originally due 22nd February 2021 but unfortunately had a CP (chemical pregnancy) but now happy to say I'm currently 5 weeks which is further than I got last month but my due date has moved to March ! :) x

Safxxx · 24/07/2020 23:44

@Mummy120494 Awe bless You ❤ I hope all goes well for you this time. It's nice you got pregnant soon after. Try to stay positive hopefully it's all good from now on. Congrats ❤

OnNaturesCourse · 24/07/2020 23:55

Hello (:

I'm due in February - can I join you all? I think my partner is getting bored of listening to me complain about all the symptoms!

I'm roughly 11 weeks (and maybe a few days) I had a scan at 6 weeks as I'd been bleeding on and off since 4 weeks, and then a private scan at roughly 8 weeks. So far my due date has changed about 5 times between my calculations, scans and midwives. It's anywhere from 10th - 15th February I believe. My next scan is my official dating scan, and is in about 10 days - the closer it gets, the more anxious I get.

Second pregnancy, and absolutely nothing like my first. This time it's kicking my backside, and I already feel like the side of house and don't fit most of my clothes. I've had constant nausea, heartburn, indigestion, acid reflex, constipation and exhaustion (which may be brought on by the 2 year old running around my feet this time round!)

Safxxx · 25/07/2020 11:27

@OnNaturesCourse Men just don't understand 🙄 I got all the same symptoms too, plus breathlessness but not the bleed. Can't be easy with your little one to manage at the same time. The bleeding must feel scary, during my 3rd pregnancy I had bleeding earlier on, then it stopped. Hope all goes well for you congrats ❤

babydust2412 · 25/07/2020 11:55

@Mummy120494 so sorry for your loss ❤️ but congrats on the new pregnancy that's so exciting!!

@OnNaturesCourse it's true men don't understand how exhausting growing a human being is 😂❤️ we're allowed to complain haha, you can do it all on here we all understand what you're feeling ❤️
I've had all the same, I had two small bleeds/spotting one at about 6 weeks and one at about 9 weeks and after a miscarriage before this pregnancy I was terrified but so far my little bean is all healthy ❤️ try not to be anxious for the scan, I had my dating scan at 11 weeks (because my midwife got my dates slightly out since I ovulated late after the cp) and it was absolutely fine, I was super anxious but the Sonographer was so lovely and made me feel super comfortable especially because I was on my own and she even let me take a video of the scan so my boyfriend could see baby moving, so overall it was a great experience 💕

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow. My lower abdominal pain went for a week but has come back today. So hard not to worry about it. ☹️

Safxxx · 25/07/2020 13:18

@Muriel84 I'm a week behind You, I get upper/lower pains also lower back pains and side pains. Jeez the joys of motherhood ehh. I wouldn't worry about it I'm sure it's all normal growing pains. Xx

Muriel84 · 25/07/2020 13:24

@Safxxx thank you I appreciate it. The anxiety is never ending! Xx

Rosebiscuit · 25/07/2020 15:45

@Safxxx so kind! Thank you for your positivity.

@Muriel84 snap! Haven’t had any pulling or cramps for a few days. Haven’t had much of anything for a few days. 11 weeks tomorrow for both of us! 11 days to go till 12 week scan!

Is anybody else really confused about how we should be behaving in Covid? Obvs i’m Masked and maintain good hand hygiene and doing all the social distancing stuff, but should we be being more careful? Should I be asking my partner to take better care when seeing his family? He does care about social distancing but he’s more chilled than I am. He’s actually staying overnight with a friend tonight because it’s his first chance to catch up and let off some steam in months but a big part of me is worried because he’s mixing with friends who are remarkably relaxed about lockdown and I’ve made my opinion known. I have told him my immune system isn’t as robust right now although I’ve not been unwell in months. Anyway. Should I put my foot down in second tri? Also am I ok to paint our bathroom if I wear a mask? Is Dulux paint ok to use in pregnancy?

So many questions. Once my mum knows after the scan i’ll Be less annoying on mn. Much love Feb 21 mtbs!

Piccalily19 · 25/07/2020 16:10

Hi everyone! I’ve got my 12 week scan on Monday, had a private 8 week one which I think put me due on the 7th Feb - waiting for Monday for my official date 🙂
It’s my first baby so super excited and nervous!
Has anyone noticed a “bump” yet? I can’t decide if I’m bloated or starting to get one! Feeling like my jeans are all getting rather tight already 😫
