@Gonesurfing that's lovely and at a good price 👍🏼
Good luck for your scan next Tuesday, mines on a Monday day b4 yours 🤗

Gonesurfing · 01/10/2020 09:35

@pampero
I know we had a private one at 14 weeks and i think thats when he started to realise this is really happening!

@Safxxx thanks! Good luck for yours to! Not long to go now xx

It’s quite frustrating partners can come to private scans but not all nhs ones. My friend who’s pregnant tried to get a dentist appointment yesterday but was told they’re only doing private check ups. They can’t be that bothered about the Covid risk if they don’t mind you paying?!

Glad people’s scans are going well! I’ve had strong kicks since 18 weeks, but I’m slim with minimal core. Tiny bump tho or so everyone on the planet keeps telling me! I sit and watch the kicks but whenever my partner puts his hand on to feel babs quietens down. It’s magic! It definitely got very active responding to his voice the other day though. X x x

Hi all, just came from my 20 week scan and all is well! We are having a little girl and we are thrilled Smile my partner got to come in with me so I was super happy about that!

Stef92 · 01/10/2020 13:10

I called my hospital this morning and they said partners are still allowed for 20 week scans and they can't see it changing before we go next week. It's crazy how different trusts are applying different rules, I'm shocked I'm still allowed to bring my husband when we are on local lockdown. Hope everyone's scans go well 😀

@Char41zam congratulations! So exciting. I get pangs of wanting to know the gender! 18 weeks till I find out x x x

Safxxx · 01/10/2020 14:39

@Char41zam Awe congrats lovely news ❤

Safxxx · 01/10/2020 14:40

@Stef92 that's great news 🤞

Safxxx · 01/10/2020 14:43

@Muriel84 yeah seems only NHS have a problem everywhere lol
Awe that's so cute baby responding to he's daddy ❤
I get alot of movements and when it's strong I get hubby to touch, and cheeky baby stops moving 🤣

Safxxx · 01/10/2020 14:47

@lyra100 hi congrats ❤

Char41zam · 01/10/2020 14:53

Thank you! I’m just really thrilled that baby is healthy but she is not at all photogenic and I have a posterior placenta so she is in at my back! Totally makes sense about the back ache and the lack of feeling movement sometimes

wannabe123 · 01/10/2020 16:09

Hi all, just had my 20 week scan. We found out we are having a little boy! We are really grateful that my husband was allowed back from work overseas and able to attend the scan. Now I know where baby is lying I think some of the things I've felt have been our little man kicking me. I have a high anterior placenta and have had a few flutters down where the sonographer said his feet probably are.

Snorlax86 · 01/10/2020 16:30

Lovely news about everyone’s scans, I can’t wait for mine next week, I honestly could watch baby everyday if I could (hopefully will get to in about 5 months!). We had the NIPT so found out the sex fairly early on, though decided we wouldn’t tell anyone, so I find myself trying to say him/her hoping not to give it away, but not sure I will be able to keep it up until the end of Feb! 😂

pampero · 01/10/2020 16:38

Ah its so lovely hearing about everyone's scans and glad they are all looking well ladies 😊
@char41azm I think that's the first time I've heard someone refer to their baby as unphotogenic on a scan 🤣 Sure they'll be very photogenic when they arrived and all the photos will flood your phone! X

Char41zam · 01/10/2020 16:45

@pampero if I show you my scan pictures you will know why lol first one she wouldn’t move so very blurry and today I have a lovely picture of her spine and the back of her head! Yes I will be able to get all the pictures when she is here hehe x

Muriel84 · 01/10/2020 17:16

@Safxxx why is that?! I hope his magic calming touch with the baby continues after its born!

The doctor the sonographer was training didn’t get a good photo but the sonographer then had a go and got a really lovely photo. A bit of a poser already! xxx

pampero · 01/10/2020 17:52

@char41zam yeh I learnt at the first scan they have a strong will of their own! This little one refused to move to get any screening measurements 🤣

IamC · 01/10/2020 19:55

@Char41zam I don't think we've had a single photogenic scan yet 😂 one that was taken at our private scan is a close up of baby yawning and it honestly looks like the puppet face from the movie Saw.

In other news, I'm feeling a lot of stabby pains 'down there' today and my bump is quite sore in the lower left hand side. Not sure if it's normal or whether it's something to worry about / flag with the midwife?

Harehopper234 · 01/10/2020 19:58

Our little girl wasn't helping either, I must have got up 6 or 7 times to jump around the room and she tried scanning with me on each side. She was moving lots but not in helpful positions at all! Sonographer eventally managed to see everything she needed to and managed to get a really clear photo.
Great to hear everyone having successful scans ❤️

Safxxx · 01/10/2020 20:52

@Muriel84 Awe cute you got a good photo.
Tday I feel the movements bit higher up, above the belly button, usually it's lower. It's proper wriggling now and then and kicking. But when we put hands on sight it stops 🤣

Safxxx · 01/10/2020 20:58

@wannabe123 Awe congrats on your boy💙
It's great your husband could accompany you. Xxx

Safxxx · 01/10/2020 21:56

@Snorlax86 hope all goes well at scan next week.....goodluck with the secret lol 🤞

Safxxx · 01/10/2020 22:01

@Harehopper234 I hope I'm not asked to jump around, I don't have the energy for that 🤣 glad it all went well for you at the end. Xxx

Muriel84 · 01/10/2020 22:25

@Safxxx wow that’s very job! Most of mine are low, some are very low like I don’t know how it can be all the way down there! Strangely it gave a few kicks when I mum felt today!

I had to walk for 20 mins, eat something sweet, and do some jumping in the middle of my four scans... worth it though! Xxx
