@Muriel84 another jumper Lol,
I know what you mean with low down, I've mostly felt it around the pelvic area, last few days slightly higher, I noticed my belly has grown bit more higher and tday felt it above belly button and on the sides of it. Right now it's kicking below it again 😄
Feels Amazing though ❤

babydust2412 · 02/10/2020 10:18

I'm so glad everyone's scans are going well! Big congrats to you all ☺️❤️
My baby is always in awkward positions too at scans haha, he turned at the last minute at the 20 week scan for some really cute pictures ☺️

Quick update before I read through all the messages on here! Been a busy few days so haven't been on! Sorry!

Scan yesterday went well, but I have a low lying placenta so I need scanned again about 36 weeks. Baby wasn't playing ball to start with and was lying face down with back to scanner so the scan took ages! Lots of poking and turning me round, eventually HE moved! He is perfect and doing well.

I wasn't sure about finding out the sex but he gave us no choice, went from crossed legged to wide open right in front of the scanner haha - show off.

OnNaturesCourse · 02/10/2020 10:47
@Muriel84 yeah seems only NHS have a problem everywhere lol
Awe that's so cute baby responding to he's daddy ❤
I get alot of movements and when it's strong I get hubby to touch, and cheeky baby stops moving 🤣
Haha my first done this, and this one seems to be the same. Very odd lol

Safxxx · 02/10/2020 13:40

@OnNaturesCourse Awe a little boy congrats 💙
I'm glad all went well at the end. Hopefuly the low lying placenta is not a issue and resolves itself.
Just saw your other msg it is quite funny how they respond to touch 🤣

Safxxx · 02/10/2020 13:48

Hope you all are doing well ❤
I got a call from the hospital earlier to check if I'm ok to attend my 20wk scan on Monday, they also told me to come alone as it's patients only 🙄
I said last time my husband was not allowed you gave me scan photos free.
Is it same again or do I pay? (Lol I had to ask as usually they charge £10)
She said ofcourse as an apology for not allowing anyone to come along YES were giving free Scan pics.
Cool 👍🏼
As I would have got mad if I had to pay alongside of attending alone.
I can't wait till Monday Hopefuly I get to find out if it's a girl/boy 💙❤

Had our scan today! Everything is fine, and they confirmed baby is a boy! Apparently they have long legs 🙈

My placenta is at the front, so they said that's why I haven't been feeling baby yet, they said it shouldn't be long though! Also they said the haemorrhage appears to have healed and they couldn't see any sign of it 🎉

Char41zam · 02/10/2020 19:07

@Safxxx sorry to hear your partner can’t join you but how exciting for Monday! @BatmanBaby congrats on your baby boy and brill news about your haemorrhage! They discovered I had fibroids on my 12 week scan but yesterday there was no signs of them! Smile

babydust2412 · 02/10/2020 20:01

@Safxxx that's a shame your partner can't come ❤️ at least you'll get lots of lovely photos to show him ❤️
@BatmanBaby So glad all is going well and the scan went well! My placenta is also at the front 💙

@Safxxx that’s rubbish that they’re still not letting in partners! I’m excited for you to find out the gender! 🤣

Glad scans are going so well for people! X x x

OnNaturesCourse · 02/10/2020 21:33

That's a bit rubbish your partner can't go in with you, but atleast you're getting pictures. Could you facetime him, I know some hospitals are funny with that aswell.

I think our hospital is about to revert back to no partners as well as there was a few side glances and eye rolls when my partner came in with me.

My placenta was at the front the whole of my first pregnancy and I barely felt anything, all I got was the rolling sensations and my bump changing shape. She used to really push my right side out so I was completely bump on that side and nothing on the left, so uncomfortable! But we discovered that when DP out his hand on her she would curl back in and behave haha.

This time round I'm getting kicked and jabbed all the time, and my bump "disappears". I can look 8 months pregnant when he rolls and pushes out, but then I feel him roll again and my bump sinks in almost completely. I go from my maternity top looking tight to looking like I'm wearing a top 3x too big!

Safxxx · 03/10/2020 00:09

@BatmanBaby congrats on baby boy 💙
That's a first I've heard boys have longer legs lol glad all is well hopefully you feel the.movements very soon. Xx
@OnNaturesCourse suppose I could ask if I could video call or atleast make a video. If not I'll take my free pics lol.
Can't believe they would roll their eyes at you for taking your partner, and won't be suprised if they revert back, 🙄
Wow I'm suprised how your bump changes so rapidly. It's funny how when daddy touches baby behaves 🤣

Muriel84 · 03/10/2020 07:08

@OnNaturesCourse as if they would roll their eyes at you!! I literally cannot stand that sort of thing. It’s completely natural to want your partner with you! I thought places were letting partners in more, not the other way round. I don’t see how it reduces the risk of Covid anyway, if my partner had it I would obviously be carrying it! I swear it’s just a control thing. They’re traumatising women it’s awful. Apologies for early morning rant. Xxx

Safxxx · 03/10/2020 09:56

@Muriel84 your right, this control thing will only get worse, such a important time for a couple to share and go thru the stages together, yet their taking that away. We can't go to meet family at their house, yet we can meet them outside? Soon we will become Nanny state if things carry on like this. Do this Don't do that it's their way or high way 🙄

OnNaturesCourse · 03/10/2020 10:03

I do suspect that in light of the recent changes they have already changed their stand on partners being allowed to attend... But are letting those who got their appointment letters beforehand still take their partners (my letter states my partner is allowed to attend, or one other support person whereas my 12 week letter stated no one was to come with me)

They probably just didn't want/didn't have the time to contact everyone with letters saying partners can attend to tell them the rules had changed... Again.

I fully agree that its crazy tho, if he has it then I definitely do aswell and it's not like he goes wondering around the hospital coughing and sneezing on things... In fact I moved around more than him due to needing to pee 101 times haha.

TheGirlWhoLived · 03/10/2020 10:29

Finally got past the scary stage now (with my genetic condition if I was pregnant with a boy it can miscarry any time before 20 weeks) as I’m now 20+4 with a fabulously healthy BOY 👦

This should mean 🤞 that it’s plain sailing from here and he shouldn’t have any problems at birth (eldest dd is blind in one eye but luckily not neurologically affected) I’ve come back to join you all again if you’ll have me! Grin

Will pop my details on again
Age:31
Dc: 2 girls already, 10 and 6
Due date: officially 16/02 but ive never got past 38 weeks with my other 2!

Safxxx · 03/10/2020 12:13

@TheGirlWhoLived Ahh bless you that's great news, Hopefuly things go smoothly from now onwards and you go on to having a healthy child at full term 🤞💙

OnNaturesCourse · 03/10/2020 18:46

@TheGirlWhoLived hurray! congratulations! so glad you are now in the "safe" period with your boy ❤️💙

Are your daughters excited?

babydust2412 · 03/10/2020 22:17

@TheGirlWhoLived that's so exciting I'm so happy for you and your little boy 💙💙

Been in hospital since the early hours with suspected broken waters - pretty scary at 21+4. Got to stay in until Monday for tests.

Crossing everything that it can be managed for a good outcome.

Really gutted that I'm having to go through this on my own while my husband is camped out in the hospital car park. Though I have told him to go home now I know I've been admitted.

pampero · 04/10/2020 07:06

Oh gosh @IamC, I'm keeping everything crossed for you that it can all be managed & if you're in hospital at least you are now in the best place. So hard for both you and your husband that he can't be with you, its such an emotional time. Is he allowed to come and visit later today at some point if youre staying in until tomorrow? X

FruitLoopyLoo · 04/10/2020 08:39

Re partners attending. I signed a petition in relation to this and received an update the other day.

This is a copy of the letter which has been sent to chief executives of NHS about it and has been signed by various MPs (my MP signed it woohoo!)

I was quite surprised to learn when reading it that the government has actually already issued guidance to them that partners should be allowed in all scans and all stages of labour and that Matt Hancock has already addressed this specifically but that it is the NHS trusts themselves that are dragging their feet!

Anyone else due February 2021?
