Hi @Luc2 and @pampero, congrats and welcome!
Don't worry about your bumps :) I have a friend about your height and quite skinny, her bump only became noticable at 7 months, and baby was fine.
I'm 18+1 today and I'd say my bump became a real baby bump about a week ago (its my first).

Luc2 · 07/09/2020 12:13

Thanks for your replies ladies!
@pampero aww wow amazing to hear you have had such a similar journey to me, hope you’re feeling ok and positive about the things to come! We’ve been through it this year haven’t we..?

Thanks @Safxxx and @NotOnlyCatMum - have had other newer symptoms like stuffy/bloody nose and more run down (I have a lovely cold sore to show for it.. haven’t had one in years!) and headaches whenever standing up last week, so not totally plain sailing, but do wish a little bump would show itself sooner - I know I shouldn’t rush things though :-) my husband and mum both say I am showing, but I just think it’s tummy flab from this year..! Grin

pampero · 07/09/2020 12:25

Thanks ladies & yes @Luc2, wasn't quite the start to the year we'd hoped for but plenty of positive things to look forward to now.

Interesting you mention the headache, thats something I've just had come / go in the last week. As for the bump, I know I look a little different, but could just be mistaken for enjoying some pies in lockdown 🤣

Safxxx · 07/09/2020 12:34

@Luc2 yeah I've had stuffy nose for a while also in previous pregnancies I've had nose bleeds. I'm sure it will return again 😤
I still feel very breathless.
Up on vit C and drink plenty of fluids it helps towards colds and headaches. Xx

ClockSpanner · 07/09/2020 12:55

Thanks @saffxxx hope yours is going well too. Hard to rest with my two young ones but I try... cebeebies is usually involved Grin

Muriel84 · 07/09/2020 13:01

I’m 17+5 and haven’t been able to get into my jeans for weeks! I have a small bump plus bloat bump. I’m 5’7 too and slim.

I also have stuffy nose and nose bleeds. I’ve always had no bleeds but these have been much more regular! Still feeling drained a lot of the time. And headaches too. Not helped by working from home and staring at screens all day.

Welcome new people and congrats on your pregnancies ❤️ X x x

babydust2412 · 07/09/2020 13:22

@Luc2 hi! My bump didn't start showing until between 17 and 18 weeks and it has suddenly popped out so don't worry it will come xxx

peonyrose87 · 08/09/2020 08:25

I'm 15+5 and there's a little bump but it is still bloat you. Although people are noticing now which is nice!

I've got such a stuffy nose too, and my partner says I'm snoring which I never usually do 🙈

Stef92 · 08/09/2020 16:20

I'm 16 weeks today and I think there is definitely something there for me as the leggings I bought two weeks ago, so I didn't have zips on me jeans etc, no longer fit 🤣 had my 16 week consultation with my community midwife this morning and was able to hear the baby's heartbeat 💙 I'm convinced I'm having a boy given how lazy it was at the 12 week scan and today it was playing hide and seek when the midwife was trying to find the heartbeat 🤣

Muriel84 · 08/09/2020 16:44

@babydust2412 I see what you mean by suddenly popped! I feel like I’ve gradually been expanding, then the last couple of days it’s been like “woah where did that come from?!” I’m walking around like I’m 30 weeks 😂

@Stef92 that’s so lovely you got to hear it’s heartbeat! So nice to have a face to face check.

I’m 18 weeks tomorrow and I have another appointment and internal scan at the preterm clinic 😬 x x x

Snorlax86 · 08/09/2020 17:38

I’m convinced I have a bit of a bump, but I’ve never had a flat stomach so it’s hard to work out 😂 I have my 16 week midwife appt coming up, I’m hoping they check the heartbeat, but I think I read not all areas do it, so not sure if mine will. If not, think I will book a private scan to keep me going, my 20week scan isn’t until October so feels ages away!

SunshineMum18 · 08/09/2020 18:20

Hello Ladies Daffodil
I am 18 + 6 days with my second little one.
I have had two scans so far which showed everything is fine with bubba. I could see him/her wriggling around so felt instantly reassured, that being said I cannot say to date I have felt the baby moving. I am certain with my first I felt him move from quite early on.
Is anyone else having a similar experience?
Xx

Safxxx · 08/09/2020 19:10

How do you guys remember how many weeks and days you are? I'm always using the pregnancy calculater to work it out 🤣
I'm 16+1 day
I have not been offered any midwife Appts had a over the phone consultation with the hospital doctor tday. Yesterday spoke to one of the support midwives over the phone just to see how everything's going.
My 20wk scan is 5th October I was told to contact my midwife after I've had that scan, I'm assuming then onwards they will see me face to face.
I do time to time feel tiny flutters or like bubbles popping around my pelvic area. Nothing strong or consistent. But Hopefuly soon we will all feel the beautiful movements ❤

Safxxx · 08/09/2020 19:17

Anyone else feels pressure in the pelvic area? Like heaviness? At times I'm holding my bump as I'm walking, can feel very uncomfortable.
Only times I felt that in previous pregnancies was in the 3rd timester.
I must be holding on too high volume amniotic fluid lol as the baby at this stage is tiny 🤣 and that could also explain my weight gain so earlier on 🙄

Stef92 · 08/09/2020 20:36

@Safxxx I was told on my booking in appointment phone call to download an app called bounty, each day has a little fact on the app about the baby's progress and it tells you how far you're gone and how many days until full term.x

Snorlax86 · 08/09/2020 20:55

@Safxxx I’ve been using What to Expect app which sounds similar to Bounty. It also compares the size of baby to a fruit, and my personal favourite is 80s/90s item! I wonder as a FTM if I’m just counting down the days whereas those with children probably have enough to keep them occupied with!

Safxxx · 08/09/2020 21:12

@Stef92 Yes previously I've registered to bounty. Not this time.
@Snorlax86 I've been on that website to check my weeks lol.
I know what you mean as a FTM you keep track, I seem to lose mine lol
I was moaning to a friend saying I find it hard this time round, she said NO it's the same you just forgotten it all 🤣🤣 looks like I'm losing my mind, having gone thru 2 miscarriages and 3 births you would think I'm a expert, but I feel like I'm learning all over again 😲

Muriel84 · 08/09/2020 21:19

I enjoy the fruit/veg comparison too! What to Expect says this week it’s a cucumber... I can’t visualise it. Maybe they’re smaller in the States??

I’ve had to hold the bottom of my bump when I sneeze or laugh for a few weeks. I guess the muscles haven’t been pulled that way before! Xx

pampero · 08/09/2020 21:23

I've got the Ovia app and its said baby is currently the size of dill pickle...I guess thats kind of like a mini cucumber!

BatmanBaby · 09/09/2020 11:32

Where do you buy maternity bra's from, and how do you know what size to get?! Do you just get your normal size?

I've had more brown blood, which is slowing down but not stopped. Went to hospital and they think it's the hematoma being flushed out and they used the doppler to hear baby's heartbeat... Just looking forward to no more bleeding and being able to relax!

Safxxx · 09/09/2020 14:25

@Muriel84 that made me laugh size of a cucumber 🤣
Seems quite a amusing app to compare baby sizes to frui/veg 😃
Oh I get that alot have to hold my bump to sneeze or cough. Xx

Safxxx · 09/09/2020 14:31

@BatmanBaby Maybe go up a size or 2 for maternity bras, or get yourself measured if possible. I find any bras uncomfortable I'm sticking to lycra crop type bras they're much more comfy.
So sorry to hear your still bleeding hope it stops soon so you don't have to worry about things going wrong. Xx

Muriel84 · 09/09/2020 14:51

@Safxxx cucumber is a very strange image! Good advice about maternity bra - I bought one and it fit for a week! Now back in my old Lycra crop tops too. So comfy.

I had a scan today and babs was entirely bent over kicking me which was nice. Strange I couldn’t feel it! Did not want to show it’s face! 🙄but lovely to hear its heart x x x

Safxxx · 09/09/2020 15:27

@Muriel84 Awe that's lovely glad to hear babes doing good. Funny playing hide and seek with you and teasing you by not turning around. Bless ❤

babydust2412 · 10/09/2020 21:05

Sorry for tmi but new symptom this week ladies, at 19+1 today my boobs have started to leak very slightly xx good sign things are going well I think x
