Just that. Currently in hospital, after having sudden bleeding starting at about 10pm. 27 weeks pregnant, phoned the hospital midwife, who told me to call 999.

Ambulance turned up within 5 mins, put a cannula in and took me straight to the assessment center/labour ward.

Baby heartbeat is fine, but having tightenings, and a test for showing possible premature labour came back positive.

Been scanned, don't think the blood is from the placenta or cord, but it is quite watery. Going to be given antibiotics and steroid injection asap, then reassessed in the morning, including testing for amniotic fluid.

On my own, husband looking after our 3yo DD, and in any case, not allowed in with me anyway. Had 2 losses in the last year, and am so scared something will happen to this one too.

Thank you for all of your well wishes.

I am currently still pregnant! Have had 3 hospital admissions in the last 3 weeks, with 2 big bleeds, and then on Wednesday I had full on waterfalls of liquid and reduced movements, with contractions.

Been treated again with magnesium sulphate, baby has got used to its new, less fluid environment and is moving again nicely.

Finally allowed home again this evening, and it looks like I'll be induced at 34 weeks, as the risk of a full placental abruption gets higher with every bleed I have.

Currently 31w 1d, hoping to hang on for the next three weeks!

I haven't read the whole thread but just wanted to post - got everything crossed for you. Know how worrying it can be. I had twins at 27 weeks, all fine x

Beau2020 · 22/05/2020 21:53

@Vebrithien keep staying strong and I have faith you will hang on in there xx

SquirtleSquad · 22/05/2020 23:26

You're doing amazingly Thanks

TwistyHair · 23/05/2020 06:13

Wow that sounds exhausting. Are you working at the moment?

VictoriaBun · 26/05/2020 18:16

Hi how's it going ?

Vebrithien · 28/05/2020 11:15

Morning all,

Milestone here today, made it to 32 weeks!

5 weeks ago, when this all started, 32 weeks seemed almost unobtainable, can't quite believe we've made it this far.

I've also been formally signed off of work now, until maternity leave starts or baby arrives, whichever is soonest. Until now, I've been working from home, as I'm a teacher, but my school are returning on Monday, and even though I wouldn't be physically going back, I'd still be expected to complete full lesson plans of cover work for my classes, which is a serious stress!

OP, glad you are doing well. Thank you for the regular updates too, so looking forward to your little surprise when he/she arrives!

Both of my DC were prem and I didn't know the sex until birth either. Both did well.

Well done - that must feel so much of a better place than when you first posted. Another 2-3 days and you've made it to June!

Wudgy · 28/05/2020 15:16

Ah that’s great I have been following your thread, I was born at 33 weeks weighing 2lbs almost 35 years ago and was absolutely fine no health conditions or complications at all. Medical advances have improved greatly so hoping baby will have all the help It needs if comes anytime now. Best of luck!

Goldenmother · 28/05/2020 16:09

So pleased your little one is hanging in there just found this thread and so happy all is going as well as they can for you

Vebrithien · 01/06/2020 15:12

So, looks like this is going to be a June baby, as I can't see my consultant letting me go until July.

Such a better place than an April baby, where this all began!

Growth scan tomorrow, will be very interested to see what the AFI is, after losing so much fluid on a daily basis.

Can't believe we've made it to June!!!
