Replying to everyone in a new thread as the old one is full! Also tagging @Lemonysherbet @ELW85 @MrsH497 @LokiCat @larrydavid - so sorry if I’m forgetting anyone!

@MrsR16 It’s so weird, I was thinking back to getting my BFP for the twins the other day - some days it feels like yesterday but others it feels like a lifetime ago! I bet now Ethans here the pregnancy also feels like a distant memory!!

@TrashKitten10 Ah thanks lovely - wow a 9 pounder!! Well done you! I will definitely let everyone know as soon as I can once the twins are here :)

@PippaPug Thanks lovely! How are you feeling at the moment? Funnily enough they don’t do the steroid injections at my hospital if you’re going to deliver post 37 weeks so I’ve managed to swerve that one - how have you found them? Hurray for big babies - looks like we’re both going to have some chunky twins on our hands!! Do you find you are constantly congratulated at hospital for keeping them in so long/growing them so big?! I get it every time!

@Fivebyfive2 Joe is adorable! How was your first night away?

@thumper59 12 weeks! He is so so cute and I LOVE the matching jackets haha!

@purplefig Ugh the first lie in didn’t go to plan, I woke at 3 and couldn’t drift off again until 6... so glad it isn’t just us wobbling on names at the midnight hour! Yep ours will be Irish names - narrowing it right down and making it even harder for ourselves!! Hope you enjoyed your last yoga class!

Had a scare this morning; after a shocking night trying to sleep I woke quite late (well, around 9) - twin 2 dancing the jig as always but couldn’t feel twin 1 at all. I tried absolutely everything, I must have had a full litre of orange juice, chocolate, prodding at his side of my belly and I just got nothing. I called DH at 11 and just broke down, and we were soon off to triage. I literally cried all the way there! We had a CTG and as much as she struggled to find twin 1, he’s there and heart is pounding away. She told me he’s very low now, and position wise twin 2 is actually almost sitting on top of him so masking some of the stronger movements. The little swines! I’m so relieved, but it was horrible - I was terrified. Tracking twin movements is such a minefield!!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

@FlapJackered - congratulations on your BFP!

@LokiCat - what a lovely surprise from DH 😊 and great news on the WFH day! I genuinely have no idea why I’ve not negotiated that. Exhausted me who was in the office at 7.30 today regrets that.
And happy 29 weeks!

Just popped on to check and oh my @MrsEG I'm so so happy for you. They're incredible! Im so emotional today I cried at your news.

@LokiCat your cookie story also made me emotional, god my hormones are mad today!

@FlapJackered oh yay that's incredible news. I was saying the other week how no one has joined in far too long and I was just thinking this morning how sad I'll be after everyone leaves me rattling around in here on my own so I'm even happier to see you in here 🥰

Clearly having a hormonal day! I think it's because DH washed some hand me downs from his sister and they are just so cute and small and oh my I'm having a baby

Thank you everyone ❤️ I have missed you guys!
@Lemonysherbet how far along are you? That's good to know the party isn't breaking up just yet! 😁

@MrsH497 I am absolutely terrified to be honest! 😬 every symptom I get I worry it's a bad sign. I have an early scan on 21st so I am just trying to not get too excited yet and make it through to then. 🤞

I probably will wait to join you guys properly until my scan, but will definitely keep an eye out for any more 👶🏻. ❤️

@FlapJackered congratulations on your BFP! Wishing you a very healthy and happy 9 months. Hope the time to your first scan goes by quickly! I remember how nerve wracking it can be xx

@ELW85 thanks lovely! Is it something you could still negotiate now? As you still have about 6 weeks or so of work left. Get some well deserved rest tonight!

@Lemonysherbet ohh bless you! I think we've all definitely had emotional days! I felt the same when I was going through the newborn clothes we'd got her. Just couldn't believe that I'd be dressing her up in them soon 🙊🥰

Thanks so much ladies! @TrashKitten10 Ruairí is essentially the Irish ‘Rory’ - DH with his Irish accent pronounces it more ‘Roo-ary’ but Rory is just fine!
They are doing fine so far and I have already managed to get up and out of bed, catheter out etc. The scar is sore but I’m well on top of the pain relief so it’s bearable! Boys have both latched on today too which I’m just so pleased about - Conor seems less bothered to be honest, but he’s taking an expressed syringe so fingers crossed once his weight catches up to his brother he’ll get in to the swing of things!
I still can’t believe they’re here - it feels very surreal that this time last night they were both still kicking me in the foof! They’re sound asleep at the moment and everyone is telling me to get some rest but I’m just staring at them instead!! Hopefully we won’t have a long hospital stay at all :)

I’ll catch up with the thread properly tomorrow and I hope everyone’s doing fab - @FlapJackered huge congratulations to you once again :)

@FlapJackered congratulations! Me and @Lemonysherbet were last in I think, so we're not too far ahead! Hope this sticks for you ❤️

@MrsEG I'm so happy for you! I think seeing a pic of your beautiful boys made me properly realize that in a few months I'm going to have an actual baby. I know it sounds obvious but I think I keep pregnancy and baby quite separate in my brain! Ha. So glad you're doing well.

My DF felt the baby kick tonight. Such a lovely feeling knowing he can feel it too now 😍

@Larrydavid aww it's the best feeling isn't it!! They can finally feel it too and it's just 🥰

@MrsEG congratulations! They're beautiful, and such lovely names. How are you feeling now? A friend of mine had twins and said she practically skipped out of hospital it was such a relief for her to be able to move again.

@FlapJackered yay I'm so pleased to see you here! Congratulations! I hope the few weeks til your scan pass quickly.

@MrsEG amazing they've latched! And I don't blame you for not being able to stop staring at them. It's wild to think you grew them!!! Do you feel comfier now they're out, or has it been replaced with scar pain? Just wondered if there was a sense of relief at not being 99% baby?! Ahhh I'm just so happy for you ☺️

@ELW85 yeah the dreams are weird aren't they?! No more signs yet. Thought I spotted a tiny bit of mucus plug yesterday after doing my perineal massage (omg what is my life), but I think it was just wishful thinking. How're you doing?

@LokiCat oh 100%, a supportive partner will surely make a whole world of difference in the newborn phase. So pleased you've got a midweek
WFH day, that should really help.

All good here - no sign of labour yet (39+2) but I keep reminding myself I'm not even at my due date yet so need to calm down 😅

I'm going for some reflexology later which I can't wait for, I find it soooo relaxing. Then Ive decided if I get to my due date I'm booking a pregnancy massage as my next treat. It's a beautiful day here so I'm going to potter into town. Have a good one all! X

Ahhh 10 mins to sit down and have a proper catch up!

@purplefig I might just go have a float in the pool this weekend, good shout, and I feel like it helps all your worries float away too! Hip feels a bit better thanks, I just keep getting horrible air bubbles now which are so loud when they pop!

@LokiCat I've been practically bathing in moisturiser and it's slowly going. Pregnancy life is not glam. I can't believe you're 29 weeks, where is time going! I remember your bfp too! I think as I get further along I'll need a WFH day and I've found I tend to get sick and run down by weds, so having that as a midweek goal is perfect.

@ELW85 that's a good idea about asking your midwife about travel. I forget how useful their knowledge is. Whenever I go see mine I go blank on questions 🙈

@FlapJackered I'm nearly 24 weeks. It was weird @Larrydavid and I joined and then there's be nothing for a few months and I've genuinely been sad about it! How are you getting on? Do you know how far gone you are? I remember the time to the 12 week scan felt about a year long.

@larrydavid that's so exciting he got to feel baby kick! I get what you mean about the reality of actually being pregnant kicking in too.

@cupcakesandglitter welcome back, how are you doing?

@MrsEG totally gone to mush over seeing the photo of the twins again. You must be so proud. I hope you're all doing well. It's also lovely to see so many graduates back to congratulate you :)

Hey @lemonysherbert I'm good thankyou 😊 been super busy with the house Reno which is why I went quiet on the other thread but it moved so fast then I wasn't tagged in this one 😅wondered why I wasn't getting any notifications 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm 31+5 now, little madam is weighing a lovely 3lb 12oz and I am FEELING IT!!! She was in position but then keeps flipping back to breech 😂 not ideal but I've got plenty of time for her to move back! How're you? X

@cupcakesandglitter ooh how's the renovation going? We did a lot of that this time last year, I salute you doing it whilst 31 weeks pregnant it's exhausting without carrying a baby. Ah yeh I'm pretty bad at staying on the threads all the time, I get a bit overwhelmed when they move fast but this one isn't as bad as the due in June group I'm in, it's about 20 posts a day, I don't post there much now, just read 😂
I'm good thank you, Def counting the weeks down to mat leave, only 13 to go...

@Larrydavid I 100% know what you mean and even the night before delivery I kept telling the midwives it just felt so surreal - I couldn’t picture the babies at all in my mind! I think I was definitely focused on just getting through the pregnancy!

@cupcakesandglitter Thanks lovely hope you are doing well?

@stormtrooperjulian Thank you! I know exactly how your friend feels - I feel so light now they are here! I have the pain from the section scar but all rib pain has gone, the PGP is gone - it’s incredible!!

@purplefig There is a huge amount of relief in them being out! The section scar pain isn’t anything on the rib pain, PGP, general pregnancy uncomfortable-ness I had been having! 39+2! Not long at all now - just a few weeks max!

@KittieKath Thank you so much! Making the most of these endorphins and that skin to skin!! Irish names are definitely the best :)

@Lemonysherbet Ah thank you - I honestly can’t stop staring at them. I know I should try and have a snooze when they go flat out just I just watch them for ages instead!!

Evening/morning all! The boys were absolute angels today - getting those newborn snoozes in all day long! Consultant told me not to be lulled in to a false sense of security and come night time she was right, Conor had a bit of a colostrum cluster feed!! I’m just so pleased they are both latching/eating though - thought I’d really struggle with them being 37-weekers but nope!
My scar is very sore right now but I keep dropping the ball on the pain relief - I get so caught up with feeding, changing, general staring that I don’t notice I need painkillers until it’s too late!
Both boys had all their checks today and passed with flying colours other than Ruairí having a clicky hip, which is common in twins and breech babies. So he has to have an ultrasound in the next two weeks to check on that; but hopefully it’s quite minor. Conors hips were fine but they will scan him too just with them being twins!
Attached another pic of the boys just because they are just too cute :)

@MrsEG wow that's amazing news to come on and read, congratulations on your boys and I'm so glad they don't need NICU. They're absolutely adorable, and to say on paper there's such a weight difference, they don't look it at all. Enjoy all the cuddles and quiet time that you can! It doesn't last long at all! Nights are the worst! I caved and had Ivy in with me last night (I said I never would, but sleep deprivation won the fight!) and she was much better.

@MrsEG the relief of them not being inside anymore is mega isn't it! It was with one, I can't imagine with 2! Although I was adamant I could still feel him kicking even when he was here. You are all doing fab- hope you are home soon!!

@purplefig so exciting not long left for you at all now!! When I got to 38 weeks I was so excited knowing he would be here within 4 weeks no matter what- every day after 40 weeks dragged though! And I went into labour at 40+1! ( didn't have him until 2 days later though!) x
