Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

Notnowokay · 17/10/2019 16:37

So I had my booking appointment today and midwife said she could book me in for a scan on Monday which I graciously accepted. This was my second booking appointment as I transferred my care to a different hospital on the advice of a doctor. Basically I got type 1 diabetes and I use a pump and my local hospital only had one doctor who could advice on using pump and coincidentally she was on annual leave. They haven't replaced one doctor and the other is on maternity leave (so that is were the other two were). So he advised me to go to a neighbouring hospital, which I agreed on. I live in London so the hospitals are really not that far away and the train from my son school will take me there.

@mschatterbox thanks ☺️ my app is probably a bit basic. Might look into pregnancy+ @anny27 I am obsessed with crystalized ginger right now 😂🤭 my boyfriend thinks I'm really weird.

Whatnext11 · 17/10/2019 17:49

@rpps my top too would be to have a glass of water by your bed and some biscuits -when you wake up get a biscuit down you (water is because it's very dry). It has definitely helped me. Rich tea has worked ok or ginger stem biscuits.
@supersarah I am so gutted to hear your news. There is lots of support out there should you want it.

Jurassiclover · 17/10/2019 18:38

Hey guys mind if I jump in?

Just got my BFP and my app is predicted due date around 15th June (although a website predicted 28th so who knows haha)

This is my first so I'm so new to all of this!

Vio112 · 17/10/2019 18:48

@jurassiclover Hi! Glad there are some other first timers on this group. How are you feeling? Any symptoms?

Jurassiclover · 17/10/2019 19:04

@Vio112 hi!
I'm feeling okay, a bit anxious about it all haha.
Yeah I've got sore boobs, really sore nipples, had constant nausea and some cramping.
What about you? How you feeling? Have you had any symptoms?

rosea19 · 17/10/2019 19:41

Hi - can I join please. I found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant after my second round of Ivf and trying to conceive for 3 years. Excited my nervous of miscarriage but I have an early scan booked at 6 weeks, so that will hopefully reassure me a bit. 😀

Notnowokay · 17/10/2019 19:43

@supersarah sorry for your loss Flowers Sorry I didn't read the thread fully before. Take good care of yourself Flowers.

Welcome to all the new people.

I only get low level nausea and only vomit once during pregnancy when all the nausea disappears with it. I take it as welcome to second trimester vomit. My one can be handled by airways and home made ginger tea.

I been having lot of aversion though. The smell of raspberries is enough to make me gag. So I'm already wearing a scarf not to protect me from the cold but from perfumes and coffee. I really dislike coffee, but hate raspberries. I had to pretend I had forgotten my insulin and excuse me from sis in law house as her freind was there and was wearing a raspberry perfume. Its not my house but I needed to leave that house without causing offences. Dh hadn't told his sister then, but has now. Lool, I told so many people but he is selective with who he tells. We have discussed telling people and we agreed to tell whoever, we want when we want. But not to tell each other immediate family.

Howie11 · 17/10/2019 19:52

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me joining the group. I'm just over 7 weeks due on 3rd June.
I had an early scan on Monday and was very comforting hearing the heartbeat.
I'm still in shock I think as I was told it would be very unlikely for me to conceive naturally. Feeling very fortunate and blessed but super nervous.
I've been off work the last few days as my sickness is pretty bad. This group has really helped so thought I'd take the plunge and join. I hope you're all feeling well and congratulations to everyone Xx

mrssunshinexxx · 17/10/2019 19:58

@Howie11 congrats it's the best feeling isn't it do you mind me asking why you have had an early scan and at how many weeks ? I'm desperate for one xx

Howie11 · 17/10/2019 20:02

@mrssunshinexxx hello 👋🏻. It still doesn't feel real. I opted for a scan as I was just so anxious as to whether it was 'real' or not if that makes sense. I also really want to tell my Mum but didn't want to get her hopes up. I know it's still really early but I feel more comfortable sharing the news with my nearest if that makes sense.
I can't believe the NHS don't Scan you until 12-14 weeks, I just couldn't wait that long. What's stopping you having one? Xx

Howie11 · 17/10/2019 20:03

@mrssunshinexxx and sorry I was 6 weeks and 5 days when I had my scan as I thought more chance of a heartbeat

HayleyD84 · 17/10/2019 20:15

Hi all, mind if I join?

I'm due 17th June with baby no.2
My son is 4 and a half.
Currently 5 weeks 1 day pregnant.

I'm so worried this time round that something bad will happen, can't seem to shift that fear 😢 x

sao81 · 17/10/2019 20:38

Hi hope you dont mind me joining! 8+2 according to midwife dates me around 27th May, I'd calculated 28th, but my 12 week scan will tell I, suppose, could be a June baby! X

sao81 · 17/10/2019 20:40

@Notnowokay hi, seen about you having a pump. My cousin has the same and has just last week had her third baby, if you need any advice let me know I remember quite alot of what she told me from her pregnancies

mrssunshinexxx · 18/10/2019 00:47

@sao81 hi :)

@Howie11 ah I see, did you pay for one privately then ? X

AmyMaria2 · 18/10/2019 01:12

@mrssunshinexxx you can go into your early pregnancy unit and get a scan if you're worried about anything or have any pains, they'll scan you up to 16 weeks, I had that done at 6 weeks as it's a clomid pregnancy, I'm also paying for a private scan at the end of the month when I'll be nearly 9 weeks hoping to hear the heartbeat! You could do either of those if you want a scan, I needed to book for reassurance lol xx

mrssunshinexxx · 18/10/2019 05:58

Thanks @AmyMaria2 I'll see how I go and maybe explore prices and places incase I want to book one x

Jemstar33 · 18/10/2019 06:24

Hi everyone congratulations to the new people ❤️

I had the worst anxiety yesterday I worked myself up so bad. For some reason I decided to take a FRER yday morning and it was sooo light. Obviously had me stressed as I’ve not really had many pregnancy symptoms and I’m carrying two so thought it should be worse. Anyway I moved my 2nd scan to tomorrow in a mad panic.

Last night I took another FRER and the test was fine! I’d worked myself up all day over nothing. Really need to find a way to curb the anxiety it’s not good for me or babies.

Vio112 · 18/10/2019 06:37

@jemstar33 hope the scan goes well. I think it's pretty normal to be this anxious looking at all the posts so far 😂 I'm still feeling nervous about taking pregnancy tests and every little jolt I have makes me scared I might miscarry 😲 can't wait for the next 8 weeks to be over. @jurassiclover for a couple of days I was thirsty constantly and had a dry mouth, now I'm just peeing constantly 🤣 also very bloated, tired, headachy, bit of heartburn and gassy. Not very fun. Still, no sickness!

MsChatterbox · 18/10/2019 06:53

Yay I got my digital!!! Now I can breathe a sigh of relief 😁. @mrssunshinexxx

Due June 2020...
Vio112 · 18/10/2019 06:59

@Mschatterbox congrats! 😁 @mrssunshinexxx I downloaded pregnancy+ and it's put me at 4w + 2 when the other app has me at 3w + 4 not much in it in the end really. I arranged booking appoint based on 3w + 4 anyway. X
