Due June 2020...

Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

I guess there is no such thing as bad timing for you @MonicaGellerHyphenBing- I’m sure those rainbows must have been a sign.

@BexCinnamon I’m so glad I’m not the only one in this situation! Fingers crossed for sales sooner rather than later. We’re debating telling OH’s family on his birthday all being well but will only be around 7 weeks then, also if we told his then we’d feel like we have to tell mine and we don’t see them as after. Also still feel like that is still quite early to tell people?! Who knows, I guess there is no right or wrong.

MrsH2017 · 01/10/2019 20:37

Thanks @AmyMaria2 yes I've told DH! He's really happy :) how about you? Have you told anyone yet?

MrsH2017 · 01/10/2019 20:38

Thanks @MamaPeas no, this will be my third! I have a 10yo and an 18m old! Is this your first?

Anny27 · 01/10/2019 21:03

@mrsh2017 i have told quite a few 🙈 told my DH and his brother and SIL, my sister and also my close friend (we found out 10 days or so ago)

Dont want to tell anymore though!

AmyMaria2 · 01/10/2019 21:09

@MrsH2017 I've told dp, my mum and two close friends. Not going to tell anyone else until we've had the 8 week scan. I can't wait til 12 weeks and don't really want too! xx

MamaPeas · 01/10/2019 21:45

@charl881, we exchanged two weeks before I had our DS, we negotiated two months between exchange and completion. It was a lot but totally worth it.

Aww that's a lovely strong positive @BexCinnamon. Depends on where you are but there are loads of clinics where you can get appointments within a day or two.

Will be my second @MrsH2017, mines 16 months and had his first tantrum today.....brilliant. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Lemonysherbet · 02/10/2019 05:26

Hey how is everyone doing? I seem to be waking up at stupid o clock every day now! Officially 6 weeks according to glow so I can register the pregnancy 😁

How is everyone feeling?

Jemstar33 · 02/10/2019 06:43

@Lemonysherbet I can’t seem to stay asleep either! That’s great, how are you feeling?

I’m ok, waking up feeling a little sick but not actually being sick. I’m finding ginger is helping with my bloat!
Also booked my midwives and private scan yday. I’ll hopefully get to see baby on Tuesday 🥰 are you booking an early one?

Lemonysherbet · 02/10/2019 06:56

@jemstar33 I feel ok, had back ache, nausea, cramps on and off but nothing too horrific! I've got a new obsession with ginger beer!

That's exciting about the scan. Were going to book one for 8-9 weeks I think. I'm setting myself mini goals to get to 12 weeks- 6 weeks to go! Ive told myself that's only 3 lots of 2 weeks 😂😂

Jemstar33 · 02/10/2019 07:27

@lemonysherbet with you on the mini goals. Feel like an age away though! I’ve got a deal for 2 scans, one at 6, one at 8 so I have some smaller targets in between the the 12 week mark. I will be nearly 13 weeks when I get my official first scan.

Lemonysherbet · 02/10/2019 07:38

@jemstar33 oh that's handy. It's £90 for one scan where I am! Can't find any deals on Groupon on anything either!

It's crazy how many symptoms there are this early yet you can't tell a soul. I feel like it must be obvious but I guess it is if you know

Jemstar33 · 02/10/2019 07:48

@lemonysherbet that’s a lot! It’s £80 for two scans near me, that’s not a groupon either!

I thought I’d have more symptoms being honest xxx

Anny27 · 02/10/2019 08:18

@jemstar33 @lemonysherbet i am gonna book an 8/9 week scan. Only 27 days to wait if i book it for that weekend :D

Lemonysherbet · 02/10/2019 08:26

@Jemstar33 yeh it is! I'll still pay it though, worth it for reassurance :)

@anny27 haha love the logic. 27 days is nothing really.

Do you have moments where you kind of forget. Then you remember you're pregnant and you smile to yourself. I keep doing this. I just look like a right oddball

Jemstar33 · 02/10/2019 08:45

@Anny27 I’d be breaking that down into working days, hours lol.

@lemonysherbet ALL of the time! It just hasn’t sunk in that it’s real xxx

Anny27 · 02/10/2019 10:06

@jemstar33 @lemonysherbet i just booked the scan and its in 24 days :D not long at all

Jemstar33 · 02/10/2019 10:11

@anny27 🙌🏼🙌🏼 How far will you be?

Lemonysherbet · 02/10/2019 10:14

@anny27 eek how exciting. I'm gonna do all the form filling and phone the community midwife this week at some point 😁

Anny27 · 02/10/2019 10:16

@Jemstar33 i will be 8+5 :D

@lemonysherbet it will feel all more real when you have spoken to the midwife :D

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 02/10/2019 10:37

£90 is crazy expensive for a scan isn’t it, especially one so early where you don’t get to see as much. Ours is costing £40 which I think is pretty good. For anyone looking at clinics, I have always had a good experience at Babybond (though obviously individual clinics will differ). Mine’s 2nd November, can’t come quick enough!

Chaosonthehorizon · 02/10/2019 11:40

Tentative join please. Number 3 and am utterly terrified I have now ruined the lives and opportunities of the other 2. Added to complicated high risk pregnancies. Planned and wanted but now really really panicked.

RainMinusBow · 02/10/2019 12:25

@40Chaosonthehorizon Congrats! Aw you haven't, but I know how you feel. My two boys are 9 and 12 and live with their dad half of the time (not my choice, courts went 50:50) and I'm terrified how they are going to react when we tell them. They will probably say they're off to live with their dad full-time!
How old are your other children?

Anny27 · 02/10/2019 12:57

Congratulations @Chaosonthehorizon - totally normal to have an "oh sh*t" moment xx

AmyMaria2 · 02/10/2019 14:27

Congratulations @Chaosonthehorizon!

Every little thing is worrying me at the moment. I did a digital this morning and it says 2-3 but I'm going to be 5 weeks at the end of this week according to my consultant and my working out! Sad also booked my private scan yesterday, for the 30th, thought I'd be almost 9 weeks then, but now I'm confused 😬😬 x

Anny27 · 02/10/2019 14:40

@AmyMaria2 clearblue weeks means from the of ovulation so 1 week = 3 weeks, 2 weeks = 4 weeks. So its accurate for you :D
