Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

The tiredness is really getting to me and I'm worried it's making me look unprofessional at work! I'm a ft SEN HLTA and struggled not to nod off in English!! It's only Monday!

MamaPeas · 30/09/2019 16:18

Secret snacks and strategic caffeine @RainMinusBow? It's tough going. I'm feeling run down and I feel like poor DS is getting a bit of a raw deal at the moment bless him.

Anny27 · 30/09/2019 17:53

@RainMinusBow i am trying to get to bed earlier to try not make me feel so tired during the day 🤞

AmyMaria2 · 30/09/2019 18:19

Told someone else today, need to stop!😂 she's a close friend though, no one else now until we've had our 7/8 week scan!🥰

Anny27 · 30/09/2019 19:22

@AmyMaria2 i also told one of my close friends! I said i really wanted beef so bad and she said ooh is that a craving (she knew we were ttc) so told her haha

AmyMaria2 · 30/09/2019 19:46

@Anny27 so difficult not too tell people, but need to wait a while😂

Jemstar33 · 30/09/2019 19:55

TwinkleStars15 · 30/09/2019 20:44

@LoveRainbow02 I’m so sorry Sad I hope you are okay. My bleeding has started to ease a little now. I hope you have someone to look after you Flowers

charl881 · 30/09/2019 21:08

Hi everyone,

I’m completely new to Mumsnet. Got my BFP today, the day AF was due. Estimated due date 9/6. We have been trying for a year and we had thought we may need fertility treatment was my OH had a lot of chemo and radiotherapy a few years ago. We’re both completed shocked and now so anxious something will go wrong in these first few weeks!

MamaPeas · 30/09/2019 22:12

Huge congrats @charl881 that's fab news. How are you feeling?

RainMinusBow · 30/09/2019 22:37

AmyMaria2 · 30/09/2019 23:23

Hi! Please can I join? I got a BFP only yesterday! NHS says I'm due 12th June :-)

Anny27 · 01/10/2019 17:31

Congrats @mrsh2017 :D have you told DH the good news?

MamaPeas · 01/10/2019 17:42

Congrats @MrsH2017! Is this your first?

Whatnext11 · 01/10/2019 17:49

Hi everyone, rang the midwives today, don't know if I am doing it right, there are 2 hospitals near us, one nine mins further than the other, but I think I like the further one better. Called the further one as they seem to want to know where I want to give birth in order to book in! Feels mad, I just want to get to 12 weeks safe, I can't think of anything beyond that.

MamaPeas · 01/10/2019 17:51

Yeah they do want to know @Whatnext11 but that doesn't mean you can't change your mind later.

Whatnext11 · 01/10/2019 18:03

Thanks @mamapeas. Just seems like an age away actually having the baby!

charl881 · 01/10/2019 18:29

Thanks everyone and congrats everyone else! Slightly bad timing even though we’ve been trying, as we’ve just instructed an estate agent to sell our house! Fingers crossed we can get sorted and in a new house before it gets too close to DD but if not we will just have to stay put I guess.

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 01/10/2019 18:40

I hear you on the bad timing @charl881, I was supposed to be having surgery at the end of October but that’ll now need to be postponed until after the baby is born 🙈 sure my consultant will be delighted.

I’m not usually someone who believes in ‘signs’ and stuff like that, but the last few days I have seen so many rainbows driving home from work. Seems fitting since this will (hopefully) be our little rainbow baby 👶 also caved and booked a scan for when I’ll be 8 weeks. The appointments get booked up fast at my preferred clinic so I figured why not, something to look forward to!

AmyMaria2 · 01/10/2019 19:10

Congratulations @MrsH2017 🥰

I'm going to book a 7/8 week scan as well, definitely something to look forward too.😁

BexCinnamon · 01/10/2019 19:40

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for days now! Had a mad week at work.

Congratulations @charl881 - we have also put ours on the market too so we're in the same boat! We can do it!

I got a really clear line on my test this morning, lines are definitely getting stronger (I was worried about this before) so feeling really positive and trying to focus on the next steps! Pic attached!

Self referred to my hospital and have to call Monday to book in I think!

Told my best friends on a Thursday after getting a pregnant on a clear blue and they're all over the moon! When are people telling their families? I'm kind of tempted to book in for an early private scan? But might just see what the midwife says at first appointment. Does anyone know the rough wait time for private early scan?

Due June 2020...
AmyMaria2 · 01/10/2019 19:58

@BexCinnamon those lines look really good! How many weeks are you?
In my area there isn't really a wait time I'm going to book a 7/8 week scan at mothercare, they have a clinic and there's not really a waiting list. Maybe different in other areas. x
