Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

@Jemstar33 aww i cant imagine what that was like, are ur pregnant again and worrying...Which is understandable x Its my first pregnancy and i just dnt know whats classed as normal cramping and not normal as it was really intense for me but just stops moments later so hopefully it does sound like uterus growing type pains as its not constant pain just really painful in short bursts 🤞🏻🤞🏻 x

Jemstar33 · 27/09/2019 16:18

@TwinkleStars15 of course, I was lucky I had someone to talk to who had been through it and her advice really helped, I found the EPU were so cold towards me.

It started at 7pm light spotting, no bad cramps but not feeling well. Then the cramps started and blood got redder, the cramps lasted about half an hour. Phoned NHS direct who told me to go to A&E, they just took a pregnancy test and the sample was bright red. They told me it was faint and looked like I was going through mc. The bleeding carried on for a day or 2. EPU told me to wait a week, take a test and then come back. But I took a digi after two days and it was negative 💔 xxx

Jemstar33 · 27/09/2019 16:25

@Hayleylou89 yes it’s been really hard to get excited but at the same time I want to tell everyone! It took 18 months to conceive first time and thanks to clomid I got pregnant again so soon!
Anyway, positivity is key ❤️🥰
I’m sure all the twinges are normal and baby is growing nicely. Have you got the baby centre app? I love skipping the weeks and watching baby grow! Xxx

TwinkleStars15 · 27/09/2019 16:27

@Jemstar33 glad you had someone to talk to. Thank you for that, I guess if it’s going to happen it will be soon.

Anyway, I’m not going to post any more about this as I don’t want to bring negativity or worry to everyone else! I’ll still be here though Flowers

Anny27 · 27/09/2019 16:36

@jemstar33 thank you much for sharing your experience 💚

@twinklestars15 please keep up updated lovely!

Hayleylou89 · 27/09/2019 16:46

@Jemstar33 yeah thanks for sharing! Positive vibes only from now on 💝

@Anny27 yeah ill be 7 weeks, i thought you get seen before that but i know absolute nothing about pregnancy journey i really need to read read read x

Hayleylou89 · 27/09/2019 16:47

@Jemstar33 no i dont have that app but ill download it now :) xx

Anny27 · 27/09/2019 16:50

@hayleylou89 same it feels ages away!! I need to try and distract myself so that i am not thinking about it 24/7 haha

My SIL is 6 months atm so i am using her as my source of knowledge in terms of appointments and what to do at each stage haha

MisssC3025 · 27/09/2019 17:19

Read these messages I'm sorry for the experiences some of you have gone through 💔

Sending all the best vibes to everyone!

My 1st appt is on 11/10! I think I'll be 6weeks/maybe 7🤷🏻‍♀️

No idea what to expect! These cramps though and sore lower back feel like AF pains 😥😥

A great app I'm using is called pregnancy+ you can see 3D motion clips of what's going on inside at every week, it updates you with news, tips, you can add notes and weights etc, choose and save baby names... the list is endless I love it! No idea if I paid for it haha but totally worth it 👍👍

AmyMaria2 · 27/09/2019 17:32

@MisssC3025 I have that app it's really good, I don't think I paid for it. x

MamaPeas · 27/09/2019 17:33

@TwinkleStars15 we are here if you need us love, been thinking about you lots today. Please keep us updated if you feel up to it.

Totally get the anxiety of not knowing what to expect when it's your first time @Anny27, @Hayleylou89, @MisssC3025 and anyone I've missed. Ask all the questions, everyone will share their experiences and help you out as much as they can.

Appointments are different in different area @Hayleylou89 but about 9 weeks for your booking in appointment is about standard I think. I got my scan date today but haven't heard about my booking in appt 🤷🏼‍♀️

There is a Facebook group here www.facebook.com/groups/495865860991539/ sometimes easier to keep track of different questions etc in that format.

I've spent the afternoon chasing a toddler around the climbing gym. SO. DAMN. TIRED. 😭😂😭

Lilxcli · 27/09/2019 18:38

Gosh all these appointments booked and I've not even heard from the midwife yet! Hmm

Fuzzbuzz86 · 27/09/2019 18:54

Thanks for the app recommendations, will defintily download. X

I totally get the feeling anxious, I have nearly constant twinges and being my first time have no idea what's going on!

I have a gp apt for next week, also sent a self referral but not heard back yet.

MamaPeas · 27/09/2019 19:12

I've not been given a booking in appointment @Lilxcli but I have had my first scan date Hmm

Lilxcli · 27/09/2019 19:22

@MamaPeas oh that's even stranger 🤔 I thought it was the midwife that booked that...such a first timer...not a clue 😂

LoveRainbow02 · 27/09/2019 19:24

@MamaPeas wow that's quick for your scan date. I always thought the midwife processed the scan date too. My area has changed how they work everything now too. Had half my booking in app over the phone this morning and got my first app on the 8th. Also my pregnancy notes are done through an app instead of paper based.

MamaPeas · 27/09/2019 19:30

I feel like it probably should be @Lilxcli who knows what's going on. I think if I don't have a booking in appointment by the middle of next week I'll call the doctors.

MamaPeas · 27/09/2019 19:31

I get the app thing probably makes more sense @LoveRainbow02 but I'd miss my paper notes. I wonder if it's changed round here.

Lilxcli · 27/09/2019 19:38

@LoveRainbow02 @MamaPeas I live in a retirement area so I feel like the chances of mine being on an app seem slim...🤔😂 this is also the first thing I am hearing about pregnancy notes...🙈

LoveRainbow02 · 27/09/2019 19:40

I had the app when I had my son but it wasnt updated often tbh. Midwife registered me on it again today for this baby but only brings up my sons notes so looks like I'll need to make a new email address up and register again to access this babys notes lol. I booked a private scan today also. Dont seem to have any symptoms and with this and a previous mc I'm starting to worry and freak out a little!

Lilxcli · 27/09/2019 20:48

@LoveRainbow02 I don't blame you at all it's a really tricky time especially when you've had a bad experience before. I know it's easily said but try not to worry too much about symptoms. I've not had anything major. Cramps and tiredness but if I didn't know I was pregnant I wouldn't know if you know what I mean! Everyone is different xx

Anny27 · 27/09/2019 21:08

Thanks @MamaPeas ! Will definitley be asking lots of questions haha

Should i be booking a scan or will my midwife do that at the booking appointment i have at 8-9 weeks?

MamaPeas · 27/09/2019 21:13

@Anny27 Your midwife will do it at your booking in, its just all backwards where I am.

MamaPeas · 27/09/2019 21:15

Ahhhh you'll live and breath your pregnancy notes eventually @LilxcliI didn't know about them until I got them last time. Mine was a green booklet that the midwife filled in at every appointment. I think you are supposed to take them everywhere with you, just in case something happens. I think I carried mine around from about 28 weeks.

Chez13 · 27/09/2019 21:48
