Well the uncontrolled wind has turned into uncontrolled something else.
Didn’t make it in time shall we say, I hoping maybe this a sign.
Each of my DM labours started with upset stomachs , as our pregnancy have almost been identical?
See if it carries on.

CarysRed · 23/09/2019 11:42

@Em38ma I’m glad you’re getting a decent nights sleep! How many weeks are you?

Frizzy1986 · 23/09/2019 12:05

@Em39ma well fingers crossed. I remember a similar situation last time although I was only around 25-30 weeks. Its become an amusing story that I've shared with my pregnant friends to prove that it's not glamorous.
Thankfully, I was at home and was wearing tights so it didn't ruin my carpet!
Think it was my most mortifying pregnancy moment.

Em39ma · 23/09/2019 12:15

@CarysRed I’m 36 weeks, but measuring 6 weeks over. I’ve got too much fluid so have been told could make sooner rather than later.
We are at the hospital tomorrow to get our plan, not supposed to go over 38 weeks.
@Frizzy1986 fortunately didn’t get on to the floor, though we have wood floor so not too bad it it had.
Nothing since, so maybe just an upset tummy.

HJWT · 23/09/2019 12:17

I feel really sick today and feel like I need to wee constantly but when I do its just a little bit!? Anybody else felt like that 🤔

Ooh sounds like lots of people are getting pre-labour signs!! How exciting! I have just had my consultant appt and provisionally booked for the 11th of October for my c section (will be confirmed closer to the date and may be in the following few days if they are busy). Starting to feel a lot more real!

Em39ma · 23/09/2019 12:47

@HJWT sounds like you might have a uti.
Might be worth calling someone, I get very sick if get one.

Cantthinkofanameeee · 23/09/2019 13:10

@HJWT I was going to watch that baby hospital until I scrolled through the descriptions...and saw "Life saving neonatal unit experts try to save babies life" and was like no!...Too much this close too birth...My peeing has ramped up...And my sickness crept back in around 5 weeks ago...My pelvis is in bits aswell!!...Feels like I've done a gym work out and all the bones/ligaments around my groin are in so much pain!I'm 35 weeks on thursday and I really do feel like I'm at the stage of suffering now!Walking.Dressing.Bathing.Cooking.Cleaning...all seem like massive effort.
@newbabyyy2019 hows your induction going?Have they seen you yet?Sounds like a right pain being sat there waiting for it to happen...I'd be on tender hooks!!...Good luck!Thinking of you!

CarysRed · 23/09/2019 13:12

@HJWT have you been drinking enough water?.

@Em39ma it sounds like the start of it!

I’m still getting bad back ache and cramps. I’m 34+5 so I’m hoping that baby stays put for a little while. But I’m reading that it doesn’t seem too bad if baby doesn’t come now, he might just need some help with feeding. Has anyone had any experience?

newbabyyy2019 · 23/09/2019 14:09

@Cantthinkofanameeee I feel like it's just a waiting game.. when I had my monitoring done this morning I was having tightenings which were showing on the monitor but they seem to have fizzed out.. I've been told I'm going to be re-examinationed tonight to see if the propess has helped so they can break my waters once there's room in a labour room but for now I'm just waiting around for something to happen x

secretlyhermione · 23/09/2019 14:13

Hello ladies! Hope everyone is doing well :) Seems like lots of you are having labour symtpoms, I am yet to feel anything!!
Had my baby shower yesterday which was absolutely lovely and so much fun and my maternity shoot this morning which was also great! Second week of mat leave and I feel like it's going by so quickly. Still need to pack my hospital bag but will get round to that soon. We've gotten so many clothes now that I need to sort them into the respective months so I can easily find things when the baby is here. It's getting nearer, so exciting!

Slinkyreptile · 23/09/2019 15:53

@HJWT I’ve been doing the exact same... feeling the sensation I need to pee regularly and then hardly anything comes out. Every time my urine has been tested (twice when I went to mat unit for reduced movement and once at community midwife for routine appt) it keeps showing Leucocytes but when they sent it to the lab it came back as no growth meaning no infection. I have quite a lot of discharge though, keep getting told that it can contaminate urine samples. I think it might just be Our babies pressing on our bladder?

@CarysRed although you are only 34 weeks try not to panic if things start progressing. I had my DD at 36+2 and was terrified as during labour I had the neonatal team come and speak to me about the possibility of DD being taken away as soon as she was born depending on how she was. She came out absolute perfection with no issues at all, you would never have known she was early! The only downside is that because technically she was premature there were loads of extra checks and precautions they had to take

HJWT · 23/09/2019 16:52

@CarysRed probably not 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Slinkyreptile Same here! Sent of and came back x

Iv just had a full small pineapple! At best it will help do something to my cervix at worst it will help me stop being constipated 😂😂

Wondering your thoughts; been given a second hand pram by my cousin. The bassinet was only used for six months by her son (within the last year). Not sure whether I still need to replace the mattress? It’s in pristine condition. I know the official guidance is to replace but seems silly to do So?

Slinkyreptile · 23/09/2019 17:08

@HJWT what does pineapple do? I’ve seen it mentioned a couple of times

Frizzy1986 · 23/09/2019 17:24

@slinkyreptile pineapple has an enzyme in it that they think helps to soften the cervix for labour. I think you have to eat a lot of it as you'd need a lot of the enzyme, plus I'm not sure how much research they have done as I don't know if they know that's what the enzyme does.
It's why it's on the list of tricks to start labour, along with spicy curry's and sex.
To be honest, it's the one I'd try as its not like it will do any harm, it tastes nice and spicy curry would be too much for me and with my hips, I think sex could be more uncomfortable than labour 😂

Weirdgifter · 23/09/2019 18:11

Tesco’s has a great deal on pineapple. Bought myself a few ! Yey!

HJWT · 23/09/2019 18:17

@SRK16 as long as you don't use it unsupervised/for over night sleep should be fine, if your worried buy a Moses basket one cheap and use that if its similar size!

Mine I always put a sheet on and muslin so never gets sick on anyway!

OP posts:
HJWT · 23/09/2019 18:19

@Slinkyreptile @Frizzy1986 @Weirdgifter I saw this on Pinterest and saved it I am hoping if I do a few of these then might have a faster labour and no bleed after, if it makes the baby come before due date that would be nice to 😝

@Frizzy1986 my friend was still having sex THREE times a week till she gave birth! Crazy woman 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Weirdgifter · 23/09/2019 18:20

Or you can get a free baby box by completing an online course called baby box university and it comes with a free mattress and a sheet and muslin Wink and then use that mattress :D.

Frizzy1986 · 23/09/2019 18:46

What the hell @HJWT I seriously go off sex every pregnancy. Dh is in the spare bed now. He says he'll come back if I want him too (which I would like) but as he's getting better sleep in there with me not disturbing him all night, I feel I should be nice and let him rest until baby onslaught begins. He won't be allowed to stay in a different room once baby is here. If I'm going through hell, he can too.

I've been ball bouncing and hip rolling, I have raspberry leaf tablets, and the amount of times dd gropes my boobs shouting "boobies, boobies" I think the breast and nipple stimulation could be covered 😂

HJWT · 23/09/2019 19:04

WHAT IS MY LIFE 😭 She was seconds away from moving on to the PRAM! 🤬

SRK16 · 23/09/2019 19:20

HJWT · 23/09/2019 19:27

@SRK16 Yes thank god!! Its was on the wall, table, floor and sofa 😂 bending down to wipe it all of was not funny though!!
