Hey everyone! I'm a bit late to the group but due 19/03 with my first. Had a scan yesterday (private - I'm such a worrier!!!) and so far so good. I tried to read through all the posts but there are over 500, so I didn't get very far... Anyway, nice to meet you all, hope everyone is doing well 💙

barnyb · 07/08/2019 21:13

@Keyboard91 I hope your ok xxx

ELW85 · 07/08/2019 21:26

@Frejam88 - welcome! Everyone is lovely and it is a really busy thread in the best of ways :)
Great news that your scan went well!

doggeek · 07/08/2019 21:38

Hi everyone, first time mum here and due on the 11th March. Been following this thread for a while but only plucked up the courage to post today.

Booked in for an early scan and harmony test next week, so looking forward to seeing the scan!

Dinosauraddict · 07/08/2019 21:39

Welcome @Frejam88! Smile

And @doggeek extra special welcome to you - we're due on the same day!

MunchyMunchkin · 07/08/2019 22:12

Welcome and congrats to all the new comers.

There is also a secret Facebook group up and running. You just need to pm me to get in!

Jesskir89 · 08/08/2019 10:11

It's quiet today ladies is everyone ok? @Naylor19 and @Keyboard91 how are you ladies?

Naylor19 · 08/08/2019 11:01

@Jesskir89 I'm ok, no bleeding or pain so I'm hoping it's a good sign? I'm trying to keep busy so I'm painting my back door (with non fume paint obviously!) I feel like I've woke up with a little more positivity today, maybe I am just earlier than expected! Either way I've got a week to wait and then I'll know either way... how are you feeling? x

Jesskir89 · 08/08/2019 12:07

@Naylor19 it looks lovely! And yes try and stay positive. I'm ok thanks x

Naylor19 · 08/08/2019 12:36

@Jesskir89 I'm trying, I'll be glad when wednesday comes and goes! I've got to try relax and enjoy my brothers wedding on Saturday too so that should make the weekend go pretty quickly. Glad you're doing ok Smile x

ttc19 · 08/08/2019 12:39

Anyone else struggling to entertain the kids through the holidays whilst feeling like this? I feel like such a bad Mum.. I only have a couple of days off a week with my 5yo but I'm exhausted from work and today just need a day at home.

We've done all sorts and me and my husband have got a 2 weeks off together over the hols where we'll do lots of fun things. I'm feeling the pressure to go out and do all of the wonderful things but surely it's ok just to have a day at home?

She's playing kinetic sand and I've got some crafts but just keeps asking for more!!

She also has trouble going to the toilet (ongoing) but the last couple of days has continuously wet herself so my washing is piling up so high! I just don't have the patience today Confused

barnyb · 08/08/2019 13:18

@ttc19 I don't have any other children so maybe wrong person for advice. However I know how your feeling and I can barely cope with just myself , husband and cat to look after. So you and all the other already mums here get my full appreciation 🙌🏻
I think you deserve a day at home for sure. Considering there are mums out there who don't work and aren't pregnant and aren't doing bugger all with their children in the summer holidays! Your doing a great job x

ttc19 · 08/08/2019 13:20

@barnyb Thanks! We've just had lunch, that killed all of 5 minutes ha ha x

barnyb · 08/08/2019 13:29

@ttc19 how did you feel after lunch? I always feel horrible after a meal. I tried cottage cheese today and liked it but then felt weird about the crisp bread things I had with it 🥴 iv had such a trouble with bread products. It's the smell. 🤮

SLT90 · 08/08/2019 13:30

Yes, huge respect for those who already have kids!!! I wouldn't judge you for a day in the house, I'm sure she is still having fun at home! I work full time so have a personal goal of doing just one 'chore' a day after work at the moment. E.g. a load of washing, cooking dinner, hoovering. One per evening and that's it 😂

Yvonne1988 · 08/08/2019 13:32

@ttc19 I'm lucky my kids can entertain themselves for the day. I do feel bad when I'm just lying there cos I'm exhausted. But my daughter is being very nice and giving me lots of hugs. I'm sure she suspects something. It's her birthday tomorrow and I think we are going to wet and wild. I hate water parks so I won't be having to pretend not to enjoy it and staying in the kids pool with the youngest.

Jesskir89 · 08/08/2019 14:13

@ttc19 can you not suggest a film day with snacks?

Jesskir89 · 08/08/2019 14:14

@Naylor19 it will go fast :) and I'm sure you would of had more signs if the worse was going to happen so I'm staying optimistic for you x

ttc19 · 08/08/2019 14:24

@Jesskir89 I wish!! We're currently at the park 🤦🏼‍♀️

Naylor19 · 08/08/2019 14:28

@Jesskir89 thankyou Smile I'll keep you posted next week how I get on! x

Jesskir89 · 08/08/2019 14:46

@ttc19 for tomorrow try and make it her idea and tell her she cam pick any 3 films and have an indoor picnic lol.
@Naylor19 please do and I'll let you know what mine comes back as tomorrow x

@Dinosauraddict @Brandygirl27 @Jesskir89 @ELW85 @barnyb

Hi everyone. Update. Since that one episode yesterday I’ve had no more bleeding. Have had tiny bits of brown/pink discharge today but I’m attributing that to leftover from yesterday. Nothing red. I have the twinges etc I’ve been having for weeks but nothing that lasted. I rang EPU and they said to do a test in a week and if still positive and still spotting they’ll consider scanning me. I had massive issues with this EPU when I had my 1st MC in Jan. I’m going to see how I go (I feel like utter poop today so that’s a good sign) but thinking I may call my less local EPU tomorrow perhaps and see if they can be any more helpful and treat me like the scared woman whose had bleeding during this pregnancy and a history of 2 MCs this year I am, and not the inconvenience I was made to feel like yesterday.

I’ll catch up with the posts I’ve missed later Xx

barnyb · 08/08/2019 17:53

@Keyboard91 so sorry your EPU is really bad. Just relax and yes definitely call the other EPU xx

Dinosauraddict · 08/08/2019 18:55

@Keyboard91 your EPU sounds shocking, but good news re your update on bleeding etc. I think it's all going to be fine! Grin

Keyboard91 · 08/08/2019 20:09

@barnyb @Dinosauraddict I just can’t shake the ‘it’s a bad sign’ feeling. I did another FRER and it’s definitely positive (both lines are similar shades of dye) but previous ones have had the positive line stronger than the control so now I’m worrying about that. Even though previous ones were done with 4 hour holds and occasional sips, whereas this was 2 hours and I’ve drank a litre before hand ... but then my HCG should be higher so should need to hold for less time. Argh!
