on the phone now trying to go to the EPU is a watery brown type discharge - small amount in nicks (tmi sorry)

am so worried and paranoid, esp as i'm not 100% on dates. m/w this week said to 'assume I was 8 weeks and if it's differnt from the scan to change it then'

what could it be? had 2 m/c's prior to DS

and DH is ment to be away today all week.

pipsqueeke · 02/08/2007 19:03

fb - yes that's what i'm finidng it's never a nice thing to happen to any one

belgo - know what you mean about the sleeping. althou poor DH seems to be getting battered by me come bed time- it's his own fault for tkaing up more than his allocated edge of the bed I tell you.

milf - (((hugs))) good luck for tomorrow, beleive me when I and belgo say we know how hard it is esp tomorrow morning but try to eat something and get some rest. some women do spot and bleed heavy incl red blood when PG and all is fine. hope you will have some good news tomorrow, either way don't forget to come and tell us as we are here for support.

Just checking back here to see how you are doing Pip. Glad you are feeling a bit better but very sad to see Milf's post as she was one of our Feb friends. Milf I am crossing everything for you, I didn't realise you were pg again and so hope everything is ok.

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 03/08/2007 09:04

Thanks Egg for remembering me Yes I didn't have a period after my MC in May and found out I was pregnant again - thrilled but apprehensive. yesterday played to my worst fears, bleeding has eased overnight so fingers crossed it will be good news but I daren't hope

pipsqueeke · 03/08/2007 09:05

Thanks Pip, and I am sorry for everything you have been through.

pipsqueeke · 03/08/2007 09:07

it's ok as I keep thinking the world keeps spinning, the sun rises everyday and I have one ds who's amazing to look after. we're getting there. dreading the re scan and re test thou.

Had scan and they found a heartbeat and embryo measuring 9mm, could not find a source of the bleed? Is finding a heartbeat a good sign, the hospital didn't really give me much reassurance apart to say all looks ok at the mo. Sonographer was bloody awful very brisk and measured me wrong (had to remeasure), so now I'm panicking that I am too small for my dates and thus the baby isn't growing properly

When will I stop worrying!

pipsqueeke · 03/08/2007 13:51

sounds good to me milf - you are about 7 weeks I imagion ish? as for the worrying part - I don't think you ever do stop tbh. glad it all went well for you thou.

milf - a heartbeat is a very good sign. Did they say you were small for dates? It is possible to bleed and still have a normal pregnancy, do you have a follow up appointment?

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 03/08/2007 13:56

No they discharged me as they said they were happy with what they saw, I imagine I was coming up to 8 weeks so that was fine but her first measurement suggested I would have got a BFP two days after conception!!!??? She was very brisk and said oh well actually the measurement is 9mm. I thought she was generally a bit insensitive which made me bristle and worry more... blame the hormones

Thank you for taking an interest

Egg · 03/08/2007 15:26

Great news Milf, it sounds very positive . Fingers crossed no more bleeding. I had a tiny bit both pgs at 8 weeks.

Pip, hope you are ok too .

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 03/08/2007 18:30

Thanks Egg, I am still bleeding though... anyone know how long it will last?? Feel really down still and unsure of what the outcome will be.

Egg · 04/08/2007 09:54

Hi Milf, sorry did not realise you were still bleeding. Hope it has stopped by now. I am away for a week from today but look forward to hearing good news next weekend.

Pip, how are you feeling?

Any news from Bools?

pipsqueeke · 04/08/2007 09:56

still apssing clots today (have started a fresh thread off in m/c) - i'm not sure if that's still right or not as it was a large one - after passing this one i'm a bit about the whole thing now - I thought once the placenta had gone that was that sort of thing?

nothing from bools.

milf - how longs a bit of string - tbh it varys from lady to lady think there's no real rule of thumb - I know that's not of much use/comfort to you thou.

It does seem to vary, I've got another scan at EPU tomorrow because the bleeding has got heavier and I have got a dull ache in my back Not holding my breath but it is all very depressing after a heartbeat only on Friday, I wish that they had told me then and there that things were not ok as this is too much to deal with. What an emotional rollercoaster.

Bools · 08/08/2007 11:07

hi - thanks for thinking of me Pip and Egg. Sorry for going MIA - as much as I would rather stay in bed all day, I have had to carry on working and now am in Germany for a week.
All was OK with my scan, found out I'm a bit earlier than my doctor originally estimated, just 6 weeks. They saw a heartbeat, though, and said everything looks OK apart from a cyst on my right ovary which they said wasn't anything to worry about. They did schedule a scan for next week though to keep an eye on things.
milf, best of luck at the EPU tomorrow. Hopefully you'll have a better experience with the sonographer this time.

claraq · 08/08/2007 14:24

I have not had a chance to read all of this thread but to the last few posters thought I would let you know what happened with me. I started bleeding at about 6/7 weeks and it was proper red blood, not brown. Not loads of it but enough to make me really worried. Anyway I ended up having a scan and they found a heartbeat and even though I continued to pass brownish blood for the rest of the week everything was fine. Am now almost 24 weeks and baby fine (as far as I know!!).
Heartbeats at this early stage are supposed to be a really good sign (obviously - duh!) - I can't remember the percentage chance of everything being fine but it is higher than average.
Good luck, I know what a worrying time it is for you all.
