on the phone now trying to go to the EPU is a watery brown type discharge - small amount in nicks (tmi sorry)

am so worried and paranoid, esp as i'm not 100% on dates. m/w this week said to 'assume I was 8 weeks and if it's differnt from the scan to change it then'

what could it be? had 2 m/c's prior to DS

and DH is ment to be away today all week.

I had brown bleeding which started around 7-8 weeks when I was pregnant with DS. It went on for more than a week. It is scary but try not to worry. Good luck for tomorrow.

beansprout · 30/07/2007 13:00

Mine neither

Egg · 30/07/2007 13:03

Forgot to say, had same thing with first pregnancy at 8 weeks, and that was just DS, no twins (and no sex that time either...)!

pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 14:57

Hi Pips,
I am going through almost the exact same thing as you! I am just over 9 wks. I had some dry dark red / brown discharge on Sat, and then some light brown, slightly stringy fluid ever since. No pain, but so scary!

Saw the doc this am and I'm booked into the EPU tomorrow at 10am. I have taken consolation that if it were really serious, they wouldn't have waited a day for the appointment.

Anyway, just wanted you to know you are not alone. Let us know how you get on tomorrow - my fingers and toes are crossed for you.

pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 17:09

you to bools - hope you ahve some good news x

Poor you, any type of blood in pregnancy is really scary. I was told that you are more likely to bleed around when your AF would have been due. I had some brown spotting at 8 weeks too but it came to nothing. Hope all is ok. Good luck at the EPU

you too Bools - hope all goes well

pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 17:48

it's getting heavier and is now red pretty much pos it will be another m/c but will see what tomorrow brings - not holding out much hope.

still no pain and prev i'd had pain with m/c's.

beansprout · 30/07/2007 17:51

Oh P, this must be so hard. Is dh still with you?

Fingers crossed for you too Bools.

pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 17:53

no DH is away till thurs now but can come back if need be - he did say he'd stay here but then i'd feel a whole lot worse if that makes any sence? mums here to help with DS - stupid thing is I still feel pg - I could have sworn I had flutterings and movements. was incredably tired yesterday and v v hungry all weekend.

flowerybeanbag · 30/07/2007 17:53

pipsqueeke I would be inclined to pop to the hospital now if you can. If it is worse and red now - things have changed since you saw the doctor and at least if you go now rather than wait til tomorrow you will know sooner rather than agonising all night.

pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 17:55

well the hospital is a good 30 mins drive and i've no one to have DS (my car is int he garage) will A&E be able to scan me or will I jsut be told to wait till tomorrow for the EPU?

OP posts:
beansprout · 30/07/2007 17:57

A&E are unlikely to scan you but it depends how the hospital is set up. They may be able to refer you to Obs and Gyne. Perhaps call them before you set off?

flowerybeanbag · 30/07/2007 17:59

I would think someone will be able to scan you, it's not that late yet. I am guessing though - I would go straight down there in a taxi and assume they would be able to deal with it - I would certainly hope so but I could be wrong.
If there is no one to have DS you may have to wait til tomorrow though - is your mum not about to have him?

pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 18:00

just ringin the EPU now. it's like a light af now

OP posts:
pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 18:05

they said wait until tomorrow but i'd still ahve a pos test either way.

flowerybeanbag · 30/07/2007 18:08

hope you are able to get some sleep, we are all thinking of you

MrsMcJnr · 30/07/2007 18:33

Poor you I really hope it has a happy ending. You just never know, we see so many instances on here where it goes both ways.

I've been toying with telling you my story but think I will now. With my 1st pregnancy, I had a few bleeds here and there, 8 week scan said all was ok then I had a big, bright red bleed and water at just over 9 weeks. I had no pain. I got scanned the next day and they told me that all was ok, bean was still there and that they didn't know why I was bleeding, with hope restored I went home, only to then have the most awful pains and the biggest bleed I'd ever seen over the next few days. They waited for the bleeding to stop before they scanned me again the following week and my womb was empty .

I've told you this because I wish I had never had that 2nd scan, the false sense of hope destroyed me when I then MC because I could pinpoint when I lost her. Once the process starts, it can't stop.

I hope your story is totally different, I just wanted to warn you not to get scanned too soon xx

pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 18:48

I know mrsJ - thanks for tellilng me, I know I can't stop anything now and feel totally powerless.

my1stbaby · 30/07/2007 18:52

pip- I know how terrified you must be feeling. Try to have a good night's rest. Will be thinking of you. Big hugs and good luck with tomorrow's scan. x

pipsqueeke · 30/07/2007 18:55

thanks 1st baby.

mrsj - I didn't say sorry for your loss

Alfie72 · 30/07/2007 19:08

All the very best with your scan Pipsqueeke.

Egg · 30/07/2007 19:47

Ah shite Pip, really hope it is nothing. I know when I went to A&E they didn't scan me I had to wait for EPU to open again the following day anyway. Really hope you have a good night and it stops soon. Let us know how you get on.

TrinaJ · 30/07/2007 19:48

Good luck for tomorrow - everything's crossed.
A friend of mine had immense bleeding at 10 weeks but like you still felt pg. Scan showed all was ok - anyway long story - short, she had baby fine but is adament that the bleed was a loss - a twin.
Hope all is ok?

Wheelybug · 30/07/2007 20:11

Still thinking of you Pipsqueeke. Hope all goes ok tomorrow.
