March Babies

Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

I’m just feeling generally under the weather! It’s hard but I’m hoping feeling rubbish is a good sign. Seeing the midwife at 8.5 weeks and I’m 13 weeks when we’re on holiday so hoping to get NHS scan before we go but if not I’ll get a private one. Don’t think I’ll get an early reassurance scan. Got a lot on at the moment and it’s been a good distraction from worrying about the pregnancy!

fulanigirl · 05/07/2019 10:59

Anyone have morning sickness yet? This sounds awful but I actually want it, might help me lose a bit of weight.

Frillyfarmer · 05/07/2019 11:21

@fulanigirl I'm not being sick yet, but this week I have been starting to gag quite a lot at things, which is how it started last time. I'm going on holiday tomorrow so knowing my luck I will be dog rough all week 😂

blondie87 · 05/07/2019 12:04

I’ve never actually been sick with my previous pregnancies so it’s not always a bad sign. I did however feel very nauseous from about 6-14 weeks so I’m anticipating that!

blondie87 · 05/07/2019 12:09

Hope you have a good holiday @Frillyfarmer. Going anywhere nice?

mommato3 · 05/07/2019 12:45

I've always been quite lucky where 'morning' sickness goes. With my first 3 I didn't have it at all. With my last pregnancy my partner had it so expecting him to start soon!!!! 🤷‍♀️

Mostunexpected · 05/07/2019 13:17

Last time my morning (well 24/7) sickness started about 9 weeks so although I'm fine now I'm expecting that to change soon. So I'm trying to make the most of feeling OK and get everything done and eat nice food before I can't do or eat anything!

AuroraMJ · 05/07/2019 14:08

Hi ladies,

Little bit concerned as I've just been to the toilet and notice a few spots of blood when I wipe (sorry if tmi)

It looks more of a brownish tone and I highly doubt it's implantation bleeding as I should be well past that now.

I'm at a higher risk of ectopic so a little concerned. I know some spotting can be normal early pregnancy but I'm freaking out a bit. Should I wait and see if it gets heavier? Should I phone GP?

fulanigirl · 05/07/2019 14:16

@AuroraMJ I had that all last week. I would call your GP. I was referred to the EPAU who checked my levels and did an early scan to rule out ectopic. I wouldn't worry if it's brown. Sometimes it happens in early pregnancy and people go on to have healthy pregnancies

MunchyMunchkin · 05/07/2019 16:48

@AuroraMJ hopefully nothing but can you self refer to your local epau? They will be happy to look you over given your risk.
Just beware you may not get a scan is under 6 weeks as it’s hard to see anything below that.

I haven’t even been sick in pregnancy but I get unrelenting nausea and reflux. Anticipating that will kick in within the next week or so.

blondie87 · 05/07/2019 17:09

Hope everything is ok @AuroraMJ. Spotting can be nothing but for peace of mind get checked out. I would ring your GP who can may see you, send you to out of hours or refer to EPU.

AuroraMJ · 05/07/2019 18:11

Thanks for all your messages.

Just been seen by GP and they tested my urine and said there was a small trace of blood. The EPAU is going to call me tomorrow morning to book me in for a scan.

Just got to wait and hope for the best. Still no cramps or heavier bleeding so trying hard to stay positive.

Dreams2020 · 05/07/2019 18:38

Ok good, at least you’ll be seen now. I’m sure all is ok but can understand the concern.

Morning sickness, nothing yet for me, just the metallic taste in my mouth and just want to sleep.....falling asleep at work, on my travels to and from work, just really tired!

Doormat247 · 05/07/2019 19:54

Sorry, there's so many posts I can't read through them all but is anyone having frequent pains? I'm getting regular pretty bad cramps and niggling pains all the time.

Also feeling exhausted but CANNOT sleep for the life of me. I feel so drained all the time.

BarleyG · 05/07/2019 20:28

Yes I’m still having cramps and sharp pains regularly. Also craving ketchup! 😆

Frillyfarmer · 05/07/2019 21:16

Are there quite a few of us using this thread and the antenatal one? I wonder whether mumsnet can merge them? If not I think I will decamp to the other one as it seems to be where most of the month groups live!

MunchyMunchkin · 05/07/2019 21:25

@Frillyfarmer I’m on both. A merger would be ideal.

QueenOfThePumpkins · 06/07/2019 16:10

Can I join in please? Positive test this morning (and then another this afternoon Blush). We had been trying but it doesn't feel real at all yet. I've had no symptoms at all other than being a few days late, and the same tender boobs as usual for this time of the month. Based on cycle dates I should be due around 10th March Grin

Dreams2020 · 06/07/2019 16:39

Welcome to the group! At congrats on the BFP!

Dinosauraddict · 06/07/2019 16:50

Can I join too please? Bfp puts my due date at 11th March. This will be DC1, but I've spent a while on the infertility boards and this is my very first bfp. Slightly scary but incredibly exciting.

GingerRogers84 · 06/07/2019 22:30

Hi, recently got my bfp and am due 14th March. I joined another March group but just found this one too! Smile

Dreams2020 · 06/07/2019 22:57

Welcome @Dinosauraddict and @GingerRogers84, congrats to both on the BFP! 😉😀😀

Abi58 · 06/07/2019 23:05

How is everyone?
Anyone getting any symptoms yet?

Nefelibata86 · 06/07/2019 23:11

Thanks all I’m already massively seeing the benefit of this group to bounce off each other and check what may and may not be normal x just listening to my body for now ie if feel like lazing around so be it!

Separately everything crossed for you @AuroraMJ too

Dinosauraddict · 07/07/2019 05:11

Thanks @Dreams2020. @Abi58 I had quite bad symptoms early - nausea, food cravings, tender breasts and dizziness from 10dpo (although I waited until 15dpo to test).
