Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

Hi all, please can I join too? Just had before early today, and am waiting to tell DH when he gets home!! It doesn't feel real yet - I had to keep checking the test to make sure I'd read it right!! Based on dates, I think I'm due around the 12th (so only 10 days before ds's second birthday - let's hope he/she isn't late!!) my cycle is pretty irregular so I'll have to wait for the scan to get a better idea I think.

Congrats to all of you!! Xx

Abi58 · 03/07/2019 17:33

@Dreams2020 ah good luck 😁 hopefully you'll be fine but it's good that they'll keep an extra eye on you

@TimeIhadaNameChange wow that's quick! Mine wants me in at 8 weeks but Need to call back to book

@AuroraMJ welcome and congratulations! Try not to worry about it, I know easier said than done (I had an early miscarriage last month so have been very nervous).

According to the calculator on the nhs website my due date is 7th March. My last period started on 1st June.
Wow they've booked you a bed already?! Don't you see the midwife first to discuss your options?

@PenguinMama welcome and congratulations! Would your ds not be happy to share his birthday? 🙈

AuroraMJ · 03/07/2019 17:35

@H2OH20Everywhere Thanks!

I'm in the UK and with the NHS! I thought she was joking at first but I think it's more that they need to make a note of how many people and how many beds available.

Ah that makes sense to me now! I downloaded a few different apps and they all say different things which is very confusing.

My cycle is usually between 28-30 days but I have endometriosis and PCOS so it can vary quite a lot!

AuroraMJ · 03/07/2019 17:40

@Abi58 Thank you! Congrats to you too!

Sorry to hear of your miscarriage. It must be so incredibly difficult to keep trying after that but I think it's always best to stay positive! I'm apprehensive and optimistic at the same time about mine 😁

The bed thing was a bit of a shock for me too! I think they just like to get things moving. I'm awaiting an early scan appointment and the first midwife appointment but they've been incredibly fast so far!

satsumasaturday · 03/07/2019 17:49

Welcome to all the new arrivals!

So I thought I didn't have any tests left but then I remembered I had one sainsburys test so I just did that and got another good line so I'm pleased. I've also felt generally sick and like I've had indigestion all day which I've been soooo happy about as I never got any symptoms like this last month with my early miscarriage 😊

I also had my first non alcoholic cider last night which was actually quite nice, but the idea of one today is making me want to vomit!!

I can't decide on whether to have an early scan or not - one bit of me really wants one but then I've read so many people on mumsnet who have been told they should expect the worst as there's no heartbeat only to find things are fine later on when scanned with the nhs just because it was too soon.

blondie87 · 03/07/2019 18:02

Congratulations to all the newbies! So lovely to hear about all the BFPs!

Charlotte080320 · 03/07/2019 18:51

Hi Everyone!

So glad I found this thread! I'm a very nervous first time mama due 8th March 2020.
My husband and I have been TTC for 2 years now following my cancer diagnosis in 2015.

All seems like a dream!! However, I'm on the edge of my seat wishing to make it to that 12 week mark, and know that everything is ok. Been experiencing a lot of cramps this week and like "butterfly" type feelings that turn vert nauseous. Desperately need to stop googling the symptoms and getting myself in a flap about them.

Congratulations to all our March mamas. Looking forward to chatting with you all and helping you guys to offload too 😊

MaryH90 · 03/07/2019 19:01

I’m getting an early scan at 8 weeks m. We had one with my DD and found it very reassuring

AuroraMJ · 03/07/2019 19:01

@Charlotte080320 Congratulations!

I know exactly what you mean, every little feeling I have, I'm anxiously searching for what it could mean. I've been having what I can only describe as a 'bubbly' tummy! Just feels like air moving around and I'm quite bloated! I get nausea too but mine seems to come more at night.

My GP told me not to stress and that every woman feels things differently so I'm sure that's just the case here 😊

Charlotte080320 · 03/07/2019 19:07

@MaryH90 I'm seriously considering doing this too. I think I just need my mind putting at rest. Midwife is calling me Monday so I will see what she says.

@AuroraMJ thanks lovey! Glad to know it's not just me!!

fulanigirl · 03/07/2019 19:56

Congratulations to all the new bfps!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that is always exhausted. I go to bed around half 8 and wake up around 7. Still not enough sleep. Last Saturday I slept almost the full day as well! My boobs are also really starting to ache. Even the water in the shower hurts my boobs.

I have another scan in 3 weeks and I just can't wait.

mommato3 · 03/07/2019 20:23

Hi all. Can I join? I got my bfp on Sunday evening at just 9dpo 😮 EDD 14/3/20
Will be arranging my booking appointment in a week to days time and we will be booking a private scab for 10 weeks as I seem to mc at 6/7 weeks if I'm going to....

Congratulations to all the bfps. Sorry to anyone who's had or having a mc (been there it's bloody awful, look after yourselves and take the time you need to grieve) and those who's men are being dicks, sod them, they didn't deserve you anyway... big hugs to all who need it 💜💜💜💜

AuroraMJ · 03/07/2019 20:41

Welcome @mommato3!

Ladies, I was just wondering what stage are you planning on telling people?

Just me and my husband know at the minute and originally were gonna hold out until 12 weeks but are now thinking of telling just our parents at the early scan next weekend? Providing it all goes well, of course...

I know both our parents are worried at the moment because I was in the process of having more consultations with the gynae about Endo treatment options. I feel like it's killing me to lie to them right now when they question me!

mommato3 · 03/07/2019 20:44

@AuroraMJ Thank you.

One of our friends knows but only because she knew before we found out! Won't be telling anyone else until we've had our private scan in about 6-7 weeks time. I think it's whatever your most comfortable with. I feel it's good if some know because then you have a support network around you aswell x

Rosanna543 · 03/07/2019 20:58

Good evening everyone! Hope I'm welcome to join?
Had my positive test a couple of weeks ago with expected due date of 29th Feb (leap year) but knowing what it's like probably more like to be a March baby!
This is mine and hubby's first baby, I'm 30 and he's 35 and we live in Hertfordshire!
Looking to share this crazy experience and hopefully offload some stress but also share some laughs along the way too!
Lots of love
Rosie

Frillyfarmer · 03/07/2019 22:23

@AuroraMJ I'll probably tell my parents this week - I've had two MCs this year and I'll need my mum if I have another one. A couple of my friends know but other than that, if everything is OK and healthy, we won't be doing an announcement or telling people. MC sucks all the happiness out of early pregnancy, I'm just a bag of nerves this week.

I've just about depleted my pregnancy test stash, got a 3+ on a CB digi tonight and hopefully I can just keep my calm a bit now. Will have a scan around 8/9 weeks because of my history.

I'm absolutely knackered this week but I can't say whether it's pregnancy hormones or just dealing with a toddler on no caffeine 😬

AuroraMJ · 03/07/2019 22:45

@Frillyfarmer Sorry for your losses 😔 I completely understand your apprehension even though this is my first pregnancy, I'm terrified of losing it. It can be so easy to get caught up in the worry sometimes though. We can only stay positive and hopeful! Wishing you all the best! ❤️

I'm struggling without the caffeine too 🙈 I'll have a decaf tea in the morning as a way to trick my mind into thinking it's my normal caffeine fix.... not sure it's working though!

Nefelibata86 · 03/07/2019 23:43

Exciting to see all the new positives.!

Researching early scan options now as seeing health professional about it all for first time end of this month feels too far away but hopefully will come round quickly!
@Rosanna543 one of my calculations gives 29 feb due date too! But am also running on assuming would be a March babe!

Rosanna543 · 04/07/2019 08:47

@Nefelibata86 Hey! I know, poor baby if they are born on the leap year, one birthday every four years haha, cheap birthday presents. How have you been feeling? I've had very little symptoms for far x

Nefelibata86 · 05/07/2019 00:06

@Rosanna543 think there’s something quite likeable about having birthday on moveable dates but it’s easy for me to say!

I had quite a few symptoms to begin with such as stuffed nose cramping feeling sick and hungover but that’s pretty much tailed off (maybe implantation stage ) to nothing apart from slightly tender breasts. I was worried by symptoms and worried by lack of so can’t win! Have you got a booking appointment date yet ? End of this month couldn’t come sooner for me!

Cupcakes1234 · 05/07/2019 01:14

@Nefelibata86 I'm feeling like you, all my symptoms seems to have tailed off. I woke up this morning feeling great and had loads of energy which made me a little paranoid. But by 3pm I was exhausted and had to have a lay down. I've got my first midwife appointment on the16th and then hopefully it won't take too long to get a scan appointment, I don't really know how far I am, if I had to guess I'd say 6-7 weeks

Rosanna543 · 05/07/2019 07:35

@Nefelibata86 @Cupcakes1234
I vary with my symptoms. I still have tender nips haha! But last night in bed I coughed and sent such a shooting pin through my lower stomach that I panicked for ages but good old google said it's muscle pain.
I haven't had much other than that, yesterday I was ravenously hungry, like couldn't satisfy my hunger, and I always feel a bit groggy first thing but I've never been much of a morning person anyway.
My docs appointment is Monday 15th and I can't wait as will feel a bit more real then. Xxx

satsumasaturday · 05/07/2019 07:36

@Cupcakes1234 I felt absolutely fine yesterday and started getting really really worried - but I've woken up this morning with a stomach that feels like I drank 6 glasses of wine last night (I didn't). It's so hard not to get paranoid isn't it?

Cupcakes1234 · 05/07/2019 08:02

I'm so glad I'm not the only one then. I feel a little off this morning so I suppose that's a good sign lol. I'm just going to try and relax and trust what is happening. It's hard not to compare it to my previous pregnancy

Rosanna543 · 05/07/2019 08:15

@Cupcakes1234 @satsumasaturday
Funnily enough ladies, after writing my last post I got up and wretched over the toilet for about five mins and was sick cleaning my teeth! Spoke too soon!!!
