Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

@barnyb All pregnancies are so exhausting, that's for sure! Can totally identify with being in and out of sleep on the sofa for hours at a time... I spend my days (when I'm not at work) lying down because it just feels so much better.
@hopefulowl glad the move went well! Just make sure to rest plenty - moving can be really stressful and there s always so much to do settling in!

I've been feeling worse and worse - some people say it's the worst at 8 - 9 weeks - I'm not even there yet... I'm just completely drained. My m-i-l also had pregnancies like this - she described it as 'the flu without the fever' and that is really what I feel like! My other pregnancies were also like this so at least I'm not worried.

Ladies the struggle is real isn’t it?? DH was amazing and took the kids so I could have a lie un then let me have a two hour nap. Not sure how I’m going to get through this week now I’ve finished work for the school holidays and childcare has finished... This too shall pass!

Anyone on their 2nd + have worse cramps first time round. I'm not worried they just seem slightly more intense.
Im about 7+2. Roughly. Won't find out til I get a scan. I feel alot more impatient this time around.

I told work the other day, didn't want to this early but I thought it would be for the best... Lighter duties for me now!

Has anyone had light pink spotting? I think I had some today (such a tiny amount I can’t be sure). I’m a bit worried but it started midday and hasn’t increased and I’ve only had some milk cramping earlier.

@maryh90 I did a few days ago. 2 mornings in a row. They aren't worried about it. Iv had cramps every day for weeks, that's just normal for me

@MaryH90 I had brown spotting last week turns out it's due to a cyst and inflamed follicles. I also had cramps daily until a few days ago. Keep your eye out and if you're worried or pain worsens maybe ring your midwife?

@Jampot36 @AnxiousandExcited yes I have been relaxing today, 2 of our friends came over and cooked a roast for us which was amazing and so appreciated. I cried for no reason this morning while sorting through clothes, and struggled not to cry when our friends cooked dinner for us! Still a lot more to sort but getting there.

Also thankfully feeling sick passed in time for dinner.

@Dinosauraddict the baby expo looks good, might look at going to the London one, we are closer to Birmingham but that one isn't until next May.

Hope you've all had good weekends ladies x

Hey guys just coming on for some reassurance really, I'm not 6 weeks 3 days and ended up in a&e Saturday with severe stomach pains. They booked me in for another early scan but not until Wednesday! (Feels like forever away) this morning I woke up extremely itchy down there (sorry tmi) and when I wipe I get some specks or blood. Do you think this sounds like a standard UTI or something more sinister? I've got a GP appointment today at 10.30, just freaking myself out as this is first time pregnant after trying for nearly 3 years... Sad

due 4th March. it's my first baby and I'm so excited! I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow and I'm not sure what it entails, I wonder if I get to hear the heartbeat? I've felt some flutters in my tummy this morning which I think may be the baby. I'm suffering from such a bad back atm as I have two slipped discs, I also wonder whether a c section will be safer for me, as even the pressure from a sneeze can render me horizontal for an hour 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Naylor19 I hope your appointment goes well today, I'm sure that will help shed some light on your situation. I know what you mean about appointments feeling like they are miles away. But try not to worry, I hope the GP can put your mind at rest this morning.

@Jampot36 That's the worst! I am finding recently I get to sleep ok but if I wake up in the night, that's it I'm awake. Nausea this morning is awful. Hope you manage to get through the day!

Thats exactly the same for me @hopefulowl sleep within minutes then need loo in middle of the night and its game over after that! How far along are you?

Im 6 +1. Made my usual breakfast smoothie this morning to have at my desk and out of nowhere feeling a bit nauseous so thinking this might be the start. Is 6 weeks too early?

@Naylor19 hope your appt is ok. If it is uti drink lots and try cranberry juice as neutralises the acidity.

@Naylor19 speaking from my third pregnancy, The symptoms are wierd and wonderful and definitely can be normal to be itchy 'down there' - more likely an infection or thrush than anything more ominous. The stomach pains and spotting can also be normal - but then again, they sometimes are not. I've been spotting (very small amounts) for two weeks now, the scan was fine and they've told me that 'some women have it' and i should only worry if it gets worse

@Jampot36 6 weeks isn't too early to be nauseous. Apparently nausea is a good sign - means baby is 'well protected' hormonally.

I'm feeling way better today - still tired but can actually talk and type - so far (it's only 11.30 am), so I'm hoping to catch up with housework and work-work...

@hopefulowl @Jampot36 @AnxiousandExcited

Thanks for the words of comfort everyone, the doctors rang the hospital and they want me to go in today. They can't guarantee a scan but will assess me and see whats going on hopefully! I think I'll feel completely at ease once I've seen that tiny heartbeat on the screen. But in the meantime am trying to remain positive! X

@Naylor19 how did you get on?

Report
hopefulowl · 29/07/2019 12:33

@Jampot36 I am exactly 6 weeks today! So we are only different by a day! I don't think it's too early for nausea, I've had it on and off but the last couple of days have been awful. It seems to come in waves. I've been trying to make myself eat because I don't actually feel very hungry, but know I need something. Seems to help, strangely I can't eat without tons of water or juice, feel thirsty all the time! Probably doesn't help with needing to go to the loo in the night 😂

@Naylor19 Keep us posted, hope it all goes well.

@AnxiousandExcited I have had a less than productive morning and just can't gather the energy to get going with things today. But good to hear you're feeling better and less exhausted!

Report
Jampot36 · 29/07/2019 13:35

@naylor19 good luck, will you let us know how it goes?

@AnxiousandExcited thats reassuring, im sure I'd be complaining with no symptoms so either way its a no win!

@hopefulowl one day apart...wow! Yeah im similar my appetite is all over the place so eating little and often to keep energy up. Not feeling so tired today so I'm planning an easy gym session tonight provided i still feel ok after work.

@brookelopez
Congratulations. Welcome to the gang.
I didn't get to hear the heartbeat on my first midwife appointment I think that's a little further down the line.

You might find that the midwife refers you to be consultant lead through your pregnancy so they can monitor your slip discs and discuss your options.

I have an under active thyroid. It's totally stable with medication but I will be consultant lead too just for an extra bit of monitoring

Hey, I'm 7 weeks and feeling dreadful! Exhausted and nauseous and I threw up earlier this afternoon. It's my first pregnancy and so I have no idea when things will get better, I've read that for some this feeling lasts until week 14 Confused Sorry my message wasn't very reassuring!

I'm self-employed and have had to take an extended leave of absence due to how I'm feeling, so I'm missing being occupied with work too! Wondering if there are any easy admin type work from home jobs that I could do instead of my regular work (which involves face to face client work & travel).
I hadn't anticipated any of this... visualised myself gliding through my pregnancy, like superwoman... What was I thinking?!
