Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

@satsumasaturday thanks for the reply it's reassuring and congrats on the scan :)

Jemstar33 · 22/07/2019 12:11

@Heartlessshrew congrats!

@Jesskir89 it is worrying but so exciting! I’ve just got my first midwives appointment through, 20th aug and scan 12th sept! Xxx

Jesskir89 · 22/07/2019 12:19

@jemstar33 brilliant :) my booking appointment is 12th August and waiting on scan date but I'll be having an early one due to prior experience xx

hopefulowl · 22/07/2019 12:34

@Heartlessshrew congrats!
Totally know what you mean about feeling like my period is going to start. It's also driving me mad already thinking about how I will keep it a secret until the scan.....

So I called my doctors this morning and they scheduled me in with the midwife, but not until 20th August! And that's not even for a scan - they said that's still time to then book in a scan in time for 12 weeks...

It kinda made me feel like I'm on my own with this. Waiting to see someone until the 20th August feels like ages away.

hopefulowl · 22/07/2019 12:36

@Jemstar33 my first midwifes appointment is the 20th as well, but they didn't give me a scan date. Seems like so far away!

Jemstar33 · 22/07/2019 12:52

@hopefulowl it does! I have an early one booked for 14th August and even that feels ages away! What’s your due date? Xx

GingerRogers84 · 22/07/2019 14:04

I've replied to everyone who pm'd me about the secret FB group. Smile

Rosetinted47 · 22/07/2019 14:19

@GingerRogers84 just pm'd you 😀

GingerRogers84 · 22/07/2019 15:05

I've just updated my FB settings for those of you who were having problems requesting me in there! 😊

Dinosauraddict · 22/07/2019 16:56

I haven't been on here for a week as been trying to distract myself (failing; and still totally anxious). So exciting to hear about all your scans. I have an early one booked for next Monday (I will be 7+5 so hoping to see heartbeat), and my booking appointment with midwife is next Wednesday. Everything feels so far away I JUST WANT TO KNOW THAT THIS BABY IS OK!!!!!

AnxiousandExcited · 22/07/2019 17:00

So I finally went to my midwife - they are absolute angels She's booked me in for an appt at the EPU on Wednesday and she said they'd probably do a scan. Excited to have an early scan! I'll only be 6+6. Hoping it will be ok...

Jesskir89 · 22/07/2019 17:40

@GingerRogers84 I'm not on facebook I'm afraid. @Dinosauraddict I know it's so frustrating x

lonelyonee · 22/07/2019 18:57

Hey ladies hope everyone is well!
Was just wondering what the prices are for early reassurance scans in your local area?
I'm finding that they're mostly around £80, with one being £45 but I read the google reviews and they are shockingly bad for early scans so although it's affordable we're not very keen on going there.
Thanks in advance xx

Jampot36 · 22/07/2019 19:20

Evening ladies, hope everyone had a good monday.

I have my first midwife appointment Wednesday and im just wondering if its necessary for my husband to be there? I'm working on the assumption its just bloods and registering so ok to go solo?

MunchyMunchkin · 22/07/2019 19:36

@lonelyonee it’s £40 to £90 round here.

@jampot36 fine to do by yourself. You’ll just need to know of any genetic conditions in your husbands family.

barnyb · 22/07/2019 19:43

@Jampot36 this time Il be going on my own. It's a really long appointment by the way xx

Jampot36 · 22/07/2019 19:47

Is it @barnyb i thought id be out in 15 minutes! Thanks for the heads up! X

Hananah · 22/07/2019 20:02

Mind if I join too? Joined another group but this seems busier! Found out last week! 6+1 weeks I'd estimate. Unexpected surprise. DC2, been having some horrible morning sickness already. Prescribed cyclizine which has helped take the edge off but not completely gone ☹️

barnyb · 22/07/2019 20:18

@Jampot36 it's about 1 hour maybe a little more. Blood and urine test. and 1000 questions about you and your family medical history. also if your partner has anything on his side you can think of (heart decease, diabetes etc) write that down and take with you xx

barnyb · 22/07/2019 20:19

@Hananah hey Hannah congratulations!! Week 6 was my worst so far! Know how you feel! X

barnyb · 22/07/2019 20:25

@ttc19 oh my goodness not just me then. !! I have it really strong when I'm in the bath! My tummy is pumping ever so slightly like a heart would! Bizarre!!

Jampot36 · 22/07/2019 20:52

@barnby will do that thank you!

Lemon27 · 23/07/2019 00:06

Hi all

@Jemstar33 and @hopefulowl I found out last week that my first midwife appt is 20th August too and 12 week scan is 27th August. Seems absolutely miles away. When are people telling work? I’m not sure whether to tell mine soon, will have to tell my boss before the appts I mentioned as I’ll need part of the mornings off for them.

I’m 7 weeks tomorrow. Feel like I’ve no symptoms other than my boobs are still tender (bought some softer bras during the week with no underwire and living in them altho my mini boobies miss the padding and uplift!) and I also have a serious belly come the afternoon. It’s like my existing somewhat little flabby belly is just being pushed out. Going to be very hard to hide soon.

Thinking of getting an early scan but not sure. Will wait till maybe 9 weeks or so. Haven’t told either parents yet. Dying to tell my mam but my in laws last time we told them at 9 weeks (because we weren’t going to see them for a few weeks) and they (usually lovely and I get on great with them both) proceeded to tell my DH’s brother, aunties and cousins our news before we wanted it ‘out’ and in one case, right of front of me to one of his cousins who I’m really close to and wanted to tell myself. So If if could I’d wait until 12 weeks to tell them but once I tell my mam DH will want his to know too. Not sure us saying DONT TELL ANYONE will make a difference given they didn’t listen last time.

Peachie77 · 23/07/2019 03:06

Any other end of March babies? I am due March 28th.

@lonelyonee - Is this your first pregnancy? When you said your tests were looking lighter, was that your ovulation tests or preg tests? Are your tests still looking any stronger? Have you had any chemical pregnancies? I've actually never been on BC!

@Jemstar33 - I'm due March 28th and have been trying for a very long time also! I'm paranoid just like you...I've had sore boobs, dizziness, mild cramps. Today my boobs were not sore, so it really worried me.

Re: worries about a chemical pregnancy, I'm right there with you. My sister had several, so I assume I could too. If it's any comfort, I had a chemical (my first) last month and my lines were extremely faint (barely visible) and quickly faded over 3 days. I also had zero symptoms. Every day that passes gets you closer to better odds. I believe your chances improve by 1.6% per day. So your odds for MC are around 28% right now.

Jemstar33 · 23/07/2019 04:28

Hi

@Lemon27 I’m with you there it feels like we’ll be waiting forever! How will we get to 40 weeks 😂
I’m not telling my boss until I’ve had the blood results from the scan, around mid sept. I’m lucky as we don’t work in the same location. I’ll be 13 weeks when I tell him.

We have already told our parents and my dad has done exactly what you mentioned. He may as well have put an ad in the local paper. I know he’s just excited but if anything goes wrong it’s going to be hard.

@Peachie77 congratulations! My tests were very light but I found out 3 days before my period was due and they have been getting darker, plus I had symptoms so that has made me feel better. Thank you.

My next worry is ectopic pregnancy. I just can’t help worry about everything! That’s why I’m sat up awake at 4.30am googling! I just want to get past 12 weeks safely and then I’ll feel much better.
