Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

Hey everyone, anyone noticed their tummy is a bit jittery? Very slightly ? I thought it was coming from baby's heart beat but I googled it and it says that it's not the heart beat it's the extra blood rushing around your body which looks like a heart beat. Strange ! X

Jampot36 · 21/07/2019 20:28

Hi @Jemstar33 I'm due 22nd so pretty close

Its hard to not feel worried but try to find a way to distract yourself. I have very similar symptoms to you. Daily twinges, afternoon bloat and boobs are so sore, im now getting hormone acne too which is lovely!

I know its easier said than done but i think from what you described you'll be fine at the scan! X

Jemstar33 · 21/07/2019 20:38

@barnyb thank you for the reply. I think chemical pregnancies are basically early miscarriages. I just read something that says it usually happens between 3-4 weeks tho and I’ll be 5 weeks on Tuesday so that’s making me feel better.
How many weeks were you when you had your early scan? It’s a fab pic!

@Jampot36 aww you’re due on mother’s day! That’s so lovely! I’m glad we have similar symptoms. I think I’m just over reacting to everything but it’s hard not to worry.

Thanks ladies xx

Jampot36 · 21/07/2019 20:45

Wow i had no idea @jemstar33 im sure my date will change once scans etc and i think its rare first babies are on time! We are all worried about the risks and its totally normal, I'm trying to keep myself busy and in a routine so i can keep my mind occupied. X

Jemstar33 · 21/07/2019 20:57

@Jampot36 I was working mine out and tase I had a note in on the 22nd for mother’s day. It’d be lovely for that to happen but yes agree, we’ll most likely go over!

I’ll try to do the same, have a busy few weeks coming up so that should hopefully help make the scan date come around quicker!

barnyb · 21/07/2019 21:22

@Jemstar33 ah yes it's so cute the pic! so happy it was all ok. Iv lost two in the last year so it was a happy day! still very nervous because anything really can happen at anytime. 🤕. So I really had no idea how far I was. But I knew I was past 6 weeks. I measured at 7 weeks and 1 day from the scan. I think if you go after 6 weeks and a few days you should see what you need to see xxx

Jemstar33 · 21/07/2019 21:33

@barnyb sorry to hear of your losses 😓
oh really, I thought I had to be past 8 weeks so I moved mine back. I might bring it forward then. Thanks for that xxx

Jemstar33 · 21/07/2019 21:34

@Jesskir89 are you back from Rome? Hope you had a fab time. Have you booked an early scan? Xxx

barnyb · 21/07/2019 21:41

@Jemstar33 I had a heart beat at 6 weeks and 4 days with my first pregnancy. And this time I was 7 weeks and 1 day and saw heart beat xxx

GingerRogers84 · 21/07/2019 21:46

Hello! We have a secret Facebook group for us on this thread expecting our babies in March 2020. It's a really nice group where we can all share excitement, worries, cravings etc to our hearts content and not drive people in real life crazy with all the baby talk. Grin
Send me a private message if you fancy joining the group. X

Jemstar33 · 21/07/2019 21:50

@barnyb I don’t anything! All new to me. Just spoke to DP and he wants to wait till 8 weeks so we can see more. Not sure if that’s even possible but I’ll try to keep busy xxx

AnxiousandExcited · 21/07/2019 22:16

@barnyb @Pikachu1 I was deppressed as a teenager - apparently it ups my risk. Anyway, it's experiences from last pregnancy and birth (and recovery) that are scaring me this time... was really nervous to get pregnant, but I want another baby, so there wasn't really any other way :)
Doesn't help that I'm still spotting, tiny streaks of brown every so often - it's been a week and a half and I'm a bit nervous but don't want to go to hospital to get it checked, they probably won't do anything here in the UK. Would take some arranging as to work, babysitting etc as it could be hours. So just hoping it's all ok in there! Do any of you know when the midwife will be able to pick up a heart beat with the doppler?

ttc19 · 21/07/2019 22:48

@barnyb I've been having palpitations/flutters.. looking back I think it was my first symptom. I read up about it and gave the blood explanation too.. I thought it was my anxiety coming back after years of being ok!!

hopefulowl · 21/07/2019 23:18

@Jemstar33 I'm also due our first on March 24th!
We have been trying for a year so I get what you mean about it not feeling real!

I'm also feeling worried but trying to remain positive. I have waves of feeling nauseous and every so often what feels like a light period cramp. I'm completely off sweet food and just want savoury things all the time! My boobs are so painful I'm going to go to buy some new bras tomorrow!

Will your early scan be at 8 weeks then?
I'm phoning first thing tomorrow for an appointment...

Jemstar33 · 22/07/2019 06:02

@hopefulowl yay! Congratulations!!

I’m annoying myself with the worry, we conceived on first round of clomid and I was so positive throughout that month I was sure it was going to work and it did! I need to keep that same mindset now.

My food habits haven’t changed really and I haven’t felt sick, just the sore boobs and spells of dizziness.

I’m with you on the new bras!

My early scan is on the 14th August so 8 weeks and 1 day. I just googled early scans in my area.

Let me know when you go for yours 😀

barnyb · 22/07/2019 06:46

@AnxiousandExcited hello! Hope your ok. Bless you for having such a bad time with it. I'm in the uk in the south east and when j had bleeding I called the early pregnancy unit and they got me in for a scan at my nearest convenience. They are really nice and understanding. I know u said might be a pain with work etc, but it would be best to get it checked. normally up there for an hour at most. Do you have pain with it? Xxxx

Jesskir89 · 22/07/2019 07:10

@jemstar33 back from Rome yesterday and loved it thank you x bit worried this morning though I got up at 5.30 for a wee and notices a little brown spotting... I'm 5 weeks 2 days does anyone know if this is normal? I've had nothing since x

MunchyMunchkin · 22/07/2019 07:38

@AnxiousandExcited sometimes at the 16 weeks appointment but most places don’t do it until after 20 weeks (the doppler).

Jemstar33 · 22/07/2019 08:19

@Jesskir89 glad you had a fab time. So you’re 3 days ahead of me 😀 I wouldn’t be too worried if it was a tiny bit. Maybe phone nhs direct though? Have you booked an early scan?

Heartlessshrew · 22/07/2019 10:05

Hi all,
Found out this weekend I'm pregnant, looks like I'm due 27th March! Bit of a shock as, although we were trying, it was the first month we tried and I was so convinced it would take ages that I was literally saying to my OH that it was going to be negative as the line appeared! I'm quite anxious and still half expect to get my period any day, so it's good to see I'm not alone in that! It's already driving me nuts not telling people, I'm not sure how I'm going to last til the scan?!

Jesskir89 · 22/07/2019 10:13

@Jemstar33 yes just ahead of you :) and I messaged my midwife as she's a family friend she is referring me to early pregnancy so I should get a scan soon it's just so worrying! @heartlessshrew congrats on your bfp

H2OH20Everywhere · 22/07/2019 10:56

I saw the midwife on Friday. Had a great laugh with her!

Like lots of you I've spent a lot of the time feeling very nauseous. Only time I was actually sick was after the phonecall in which I told my mother - she kept going on and on about morning sickness so it wasn't surprising I was then sick afterwards! But I tend to feel sick most of the time, together with stomach cramps and extreme tiredness. Oh, and saw boobs obviously. Have ordered some maternity bras which should be ok for a while since they're more open than actual cups. Really can't afford to be buying new bras every few weeks!

DP has bought me a few maternity tops and a pregnancy pillow, none of which have arrived yet. It's very sweet of him. Less sweet is his refusal to accept that my boobs are sore, and being groped really isn't fun these days! I'm going to kicking him in the nuts the next time he does it!

H2OH20Everywhere · 22/07/2019 11:03

And I seem to only be able to waive off the nausea by eating, which I'd really rather not do, at least, not continuously. On the other hand the smell of food cooking is putting me off food - I made a really nice pasta dish on Saturday but by the time it came to plating up I really couldn't stomach much of it at all. I'm sure one problem is offsetting the other, but I'd far rather be able to eat decent meals than have to snack on rubbish as a distraction from the sickness. Grrrr!

MunchyMunchkin · 22/07/2019 11:05

I got a pack of 3 soft bras in primark that are brilliant for this stage. Think they cost about £8. Maybe try those @H2O

satsumasaturday · 22/07/2019 11:55

@Jesskir89 I've had brown spotting every day since I was 5+4 and have been worried constantly despite the midwife and mumsnet saying lots of women get it. I had a scan this morning at 7 weeks and it showed a little heartbeat and I was so relieved. I'm sure I'll start worrying again soon though
