Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

Sounds like we all worried about the same thing... My sister just recently had a missed miscarriage at 6 weeks, she only found out by her scan. I should be 6 weeks today so I'm anxious... again. Pregnancy is seriously nerve-wracking sometimes, but I don't think I ever felt so scared with my older two? It's not like me I'm usually quite positive. But this pregnancy has really thrown me.

Jampot36 · 18/07/2019 17:18

@Kam610 so glad its not just me, my little pot belly is only fit for comfy pants now, i look like i over indulged at lunch. I'm 4 +4 so only a day behind you!

MunchyMunchkin · 18/07/2019 17:27

@MissMittens presume some cycles have been longer. Earliest ovulation date based on 34 day cycle is 16th June (but could be in the week after that based on what you’ve said). So earliest date puts you at 6+4 and latest at 5+4 so I wouldn’t count yourself out just set.

Long cycles just confuse how the first edd is calculated and why it’s often changed at scan!

MunchyMunchkin · 18/07/2019 17:29

@Jampot36 totally with you. I have just put my trackies on as soon as I got in from work!

MissMittens · 18/07/2019 17:31

@MunchyMunchkin thank you, spoke to docs and they’re trying the EPU for me again and will send me for some tests and another scan to be sure. It’s the roller coaster ride of what on earth is going on/isn’t it/is it that’s driving me crazy!

Jampot36 · 18/07/2019 17:48

@MunchyMunchkin im going out for dinner tonight and digging out holiday trousers with stretchy waistband! It is making me a bit paranoid that people might guess before we reach the 12 week point.

Abi58 · 18/07/2019 17:49

@MissMittens 🤞🏻 for you, if you weren't tracking ovulation there is a chance you ovulated later than you thought 💕

@Jampot36 me! I'm now 6+5 but since I just before my positive test I've been so bloated, I could probably pass for 6 months 🙈😭

Peachie77 · 18/07/2019 18:11

Hi - Can I join up? I got a BFP at 10 DPO and everyday the test lines are getting darker. I'm due March 28, 2020 and haven't told anyone yet, not even DH. I'm very cautious so I'm trying not to get excited yet.

ttc19 · 18/07/2019 18:33

I just read up on exactly what a missed miscarriage is as I was unsure and now I'm full of dread again!

Jesskir89 · 18/07/2019 18:33

@peachie77 how have you not told your dh? I rang him at work to tell him as soon as I found out lol

Kam610 · 18/07/2019 19:35

Jampot - oh that's so close! Are you counting from day of LMP? I never tracked ovulation but was keeping an eye on CM so I'm going by the first day of my last period. This is my first pregnancy so I'm finding it a bit confusing !

Jampot36 · 18/07/2019 19:44

@kam610 yeah from last period, i have a vague idea about ovulation but because i only came off the pill in january so didnt expect it to happen so fast, esp since i was told id struggle to fall pregnant at all!

Yvonne1988 · 18/07/2019 19:57

Made it back from new York. Devastated as usual love it there. Still pregnant. Was convinced I wouldnt be at the end. It's very hot and humid there and I don't do relaxing. Out and about walking all day. I might sound pessimistic but I'm trying not to get too attached yet, still early days. midwife next Thursday.

barnyb · 18/07/2019 20:02

@AnxiousandExcited hello lovely. Just wanted to say that the way your feeling isn't something abnormal. Your hormones are flying around your body like crazy and it can have an effect on your mental wellbeing. I had a really dreadful time with my first pregnancy for a few weeks. I was deeply depressed, very low and anxious. I wasn't myself at all. My midwife told me it was pre natal depression. Which was caused by hormone imbalance due to the pregnancy. Xxxx

barnyb · 18/07/2019 20:03

@Peachie77 that's my husbands birthday! :)

Lemon27 · 18/07/2019 20:07

To the girls who are talking about bloating - here too! I am soooooo bloated it’s mad. After lunch I just expand and when I leave work to drive home it’s like I can relax and let the belly bloat hang out 🤣🤣

I’m going on holidays next week and was starting to pack - have vetoed anything to bring that’s not flowy or very comfy! We are at a wedding when we are away, the dress I’m wearing I bought back in April and when I tried it on again last week it was nice but I’m afraid I’ll have a little belly in it now that I won’t be able to hide.

I’m 6+2 today. Really don’t feel pregnant as genuinely don’t have any symptoms I don’t think apart from the mad bloating (oh and some spectacular poos...3 in one day recently sorry for the tmi 🤣)

barnyb · 18/07/2019 20:07

@MunchyMunchkin hello! Congrats on a good scan! Did they give you an EDD? X

Pikachu1 · 18/07/2019 20:19

@barnyb
That's interesting actually, I'd never heard of pre-natal depression - I thought I was just being a horrible person! But that makes so much sense! I might have had that for the first few weeks of my last pregnancy (which ended at 7 weeks in mc) and this time too (between about 4 and 6 weeks but it seems to be getting a bit better now - having the scan and seeing the actual baby helped I think!)

Kam610 · 18/07/2019 20:28

Jampot - we are very similar then! I came off pill in April so was expecting it to take a while but my periods returned to normal straight away which I didn't expect at all so it has been pretty easy to keep track!

MunchyMunchkin · 18/07/2019 20:44

@barnyb our scanner at work isn’t the best but measured at 6+4 which is what I though. Edd 8/3/20.

Jampot36 · 18/07/2019 21:11

@Kam610 this is very cool! Id been on the pill 20 years so definately surprising!

Kam610 · 18/07/2019 21:54

@Jampot36 very surprising! I had been on pill for around 14 years after being put on it quite young for hormone imbalance. I came off very briefly a few years ago as I had stopped getting a withdrawal bleed and was worried something was wrong but period returned straight to normal then too! Just very lucky i guess! Let's just hope we have straight forward pregnancies too 😊

threegreensheep · 18/07/2019 22:09

@munchymunkin great news. Love a cheeky work scan. I'm not actually going to book at my Trust this time as we're moving and then if I want a home birth I'll need to be under another hospital but I'm going to miss the reassurance of having work colleagues around for check ups etc! Although I don't work in the unit anymore so sadly no sneaky scans for me.

threegreensheep · 18/07/2019 22:11

Who else has told their parents/family early? We're away with family from Sat when I'll be 6+2 and think I'll have to tell them due to the whole no alcohol thing. Bit nervous as it's so early on but I'm just telling myself that I'd want their support if I was to mc anyway so can't be a bad thing?

MunchyMunchkin · 18/07/2019 22:15

@threegreensheep what do you do?
I’m in sexual health (gynae background).

My mum and two siblings know due to the no alcohol thing. Would otherwise have happily kept quiet.
