Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

@Jesskir89 It's hard! But I don't want him to get excited and then be disappointed if it goes away in a week or so. This time next week I will be 5 weeks, so then the odds are more in my favor and I will tell him.

@barnyb that's cool! Aw.

@Lemon27 spectacular poos sound glorious!

@threegreensheep: That is tough. If you think you would tell them about a MC if it happens, it wouldn't be terrible to just tell them now. But if it's only based on drinking, you could pretend to drink and swap it out, or pass the waitress a note that says 'please make mine non-alcoholic'.

Peachie77 · 19/07/2019 00:08

@Rosetinted47 Congrats!! That is strong for an evening test. How many DPO are you?

oksim · 19/07/2019 08:03

Ok so the nausea has started and I absolutely hate it!!! Starts every morning until around 1-2 then comes back in the evening Confused anyone else having this yet? I'm 5 +6 so it's still very early, first midwife appointment on the 9th of August

Jampot36 · 19/07/2019 08:40

@oksim i havent but my sister started her nausea around 6 weeks so sounds quite normal. She's warned me its hideous. She kept plain breadsticks by the bed to help her in the night.

@Rosetinted47 that is a really strong line! Congratulations!

Ive woken up today feeling really anxious. Not so much about mc risk because i figure thats out of my control. But my OH is a big worrier. Timing wise his work closes soon so he's on the job hunt and worrying about money, he's worrying about our 2 cats and how they'll cope- they're house cats and such a big part of our lives, I'm worrying about work as i have quite a stressful job and im also bridesmaid for my best friend next march which is obvs when im due and i know i can't realistically commit to that and absolutely won't fit into my dress by then. I know its all relatively small stuff but feels huge today.

barnyb · 19/07/2019 09:02

@Pikachu1 yes I had 1 day of feeling extremely low a few weeks ago and I thought oh no iv got that again! I was crying and upset for no reason at all! But I'm so lucky it only lasted that one day! If it gets too much then do speak to doctor or midwife. It's not your fault at all xxxxxx

Pikachu1 · 19/07/2019 09:15

@barnyb
It seems to have passed - I am hoping anyway! It's hard to tell though as the pain from my tooth has been masking other symptoms like sickness. So I will have to keep a close watch that it doesn't come back as the pain (hopefully) wears off! At the moment I just feel like I'll be ecstatic when I'm no longer in pain lol 😂

barnyb · 19/07/2019 09:30

@MunchyMunchkin ah that's lovely ! online says I'm EDD of 8th too! Iv booked a private scan today so il see what's going on then! bit nervous now xxxx

barnyb · 19/07/2019 09:31

@Pikachu1 ah yes of course I can imagine !! Poor thing !!!! Xx

avocadoincident · 19/07/2019 10:15

@oksim the thing I find works for sicky feeling is sugar and sweet things. Toasted fruit bread or tea cakes work well for me. Maybe give that a go?

avocadoincident · 19/07/2019 10:21

@Jampot36
Try not to worry yourself. My partner is the sensible one in our household who worries about everything.
I think things work out in the end (which will never be enough to reassure a worrier). You will survive even on very little money if you have to.
I'm having a career break whilst my first and this new one are at home until they go to school. We still manage. There won't be holidays abroad or meals out but we get by and it's not awful.

As for the cats, our two just sniffed the baby when it came home and then moved on. They didn't love or hate her. They were indifferent. Sometimes if the baby was crying they'd leave the room.

At night I shut them downstairs just Incase they decide to get in the cot.

Jampot36 · 19/07/2019 10:43

@avocadoincident thank you.

I cant shut ours downstairs unfortunately, the layout of our house doesnt allow it and one of them needs access to 2 litter trays. Ive seen things you can put over the cot to stop them getting into it so will try that, once baby is in their own room the cats will be shut out of it at night. Or that's what im figuring right now! X

MsInconspicuous · 19/07/2019 11:24

@lemon27 I'd give anything for a spectacular poo Grin I'm the total opposite!
Only symptom I have seems to be really sore boobs (hurt to go over a speedbump the other day) and also restless legs so barely getting 4hrs a night!
Does anybody have any remedies for rls that? Already tried deep heat, magnesium oil and shit loads of bananas.....

oksim · 19/07/2019 11:43

@Jampot36 don't be stressing. Your baby will have the scent of both you and your partner so they tend to just accept that you have expanded. You'll find your lifestyle is going g to change a lot more now anyway so you'll probably save a little by not going out as much etc... just enjoy being pregnant your growing a tiny human!

@avocadoincident thanks for the tip I'm definitely going to try! Anything is worth a shot!

Jampot36 · 19/07/2019 12:15

@oksim i did say we'll probably save loads in me not drinking ha ha! Thanks i hadn't thought of scent thing. Good point!

Jampot36 · 19/07/2019 12:17

@Lemon27 only thing i can think is maybe try to go for a walk or do some nice stretching? I used to get RLS after running and found stretching/foam rolling really helpful to move the lactic acid build up...not sure if its the same!

blondie87 · 19/07/2019 12:20

Congratulations to all the new members. I’m celebrating the end of term today! I feel sick pretty much all day so as much as I love teaching it’s pretty hideous when you feel ill. I feel that I have to share a great snack if like me you need to eat all the time to stop feeling sick- those seeded crisp bread things. I’ve found them to hit the spot! Plus country crisp with natural yoghurt. I am eating all of the food!!

MsInconspicuous · 19/07/2019 12:34

Thanks @jampot36 have tried stretches to no avail but will look into foam rolling, not heard of that!
Going on holiday on Sunday and without sounding like a ungrateful cow I'm dreading sitting still for 4 1/2 hrs on the plane Grin

Abi58 · 19/07/2019 13:07

@Lemon27 my stomachs been all over the place since before I got my bfp 🙈

@blondie87 sounds like a well timed summer holiday! ☺️ I'm with you on the yoghurt!

Jampot36 · 19/07/2019 13:27

@MsInconspicuous its not ungrateful at all, no one likes to be umcomfortable, especially for that amount of time! Get up and move around when you can and do lots of walking around airport (an excuse to treat yourself in duty free?!)

barnyb · 19/07/2019 13:35

Hello all. Had my first scan today. All looking good! I'm 7 weeks and 1 day! Due 5th March! Earlier then I thought :)))))
