Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

@MissMittens I'd double check with the doc about that. He might say wait until you get to new location as only 3 weeks away? what is your estimated due date? You can go on nhs website and work it out on the calculator they have xxx Smile

barnyb · 10/07/2019 08:21

I think I'm the only lady not having an early scan next week! Lol! This time my husband and I are going to not fuss about anything. We fussed a lot in the past with the past pregnancies and we had private scans and saw heart beat and then it broke my heart when it all ended. So we aren't set on no early scan just not rushing it. Protecting our feelings I think 😊 although I don't think I could wait until 22nd aug which is my 12 week scan! 🤭😂

MissMittens · 10/07/2019 08:25

@barnyb thanks! Apparently it’s 9 March 2020 I’ll maybe check with them again. I’ve been looking at hospitals in that area and Great Western Hospital has a mat unit so I may call them today to chat because I think I have to book the first appt in advance by the sounds of it

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 09:59

@QueenOfThePumpkins ☺️ at least then you aren't worrying about owing time or them being weird with you. I suppose it depends how well you know each other and how bad your symptoms are. Most would notice constant being sick but if you're good friends they could notice a small change to your skin even. A lot of people would ask the question so you can hope they suspect but don't ask? :) other than that I'm not sure I'm just hoping I don't get really obviously sick before I want to tell them 😂

@SweetChillis welcome to the club! What day is yours and how many weeks and days will you be?

@MissMittens welcome and congratulations! I'd call your dr and if your move is definite I'd explain the situation and see what he advises. They will probably want to see you in 3 weeks so might have your first before you move? Or book it then it will be moved across when you confirm you've moved. Dr will be best to advise though as I don't know how the system works

@barnyb that's understandable sorry for your losses 💕

....anyone noticed any weird smells? Like BO? ...I don't normally smell of sweat not Ben badly after the gym! Got to work and it smells like I've worn my shirt for days on end sweating like a pig it's disgusting I just hope it's my sense of smell and no one else can smell me 😩🙈

helpasisterout · 10/07/2019 10:17

Just went to my GP to get referred to midwife as I was advised to do and she just got the receptionist to give me a phone number which I had to phone and leave a message on where someone will hopefully call me back this week.. would have been nice to speak to someone but that's just because I'm inpatient! The joys of living in the sticks 😑

SweetChillis · 10/07/2019 10:36

@Abi58 it's Tuesday (16th) and I will be 6+2 by then. I just want to know if my little blob is in the right place and everything looks normal. It's worth it just to keep my stress levels down, it's the first time I've been pregnant so I'm overly anxious (I'm pretty sure DP thinks I'm overacting, but he's being very supportive all the same)

I've got my booking in appointment with the midwife the following Thursday (25th) so I'm hoping to be a bit more relaxed by then (who am I kidding!)Smile

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 10:48

@helpasisterout yay hopefully you'll get the call soon

@SweetChillis I'm the same I just want to see something 😁
I'll be 6+4 at mine on weds. Can you share a pic when you've had it? ☺️
That's good that your booking app is not long after 😁

barnyb · 10/07/2019 11:22

My husband stank the other night ! I said why do you smell like a butchers shop??? He said Iv just had a marmite sandwich! Lol he smelt like a slab of meat! Also I'm a dental nurse and I can smell everyone's breath after we do the hygiene cleans ! It's DISGUSTING !! And I can't cook in my kitchen as off Monday. I can smell all the spices I have in my cupboard!! I can't go in there ! Poor husband I'm such hard work xxxx

MissMittens · 10/07/2019 11:40

@Abi58 thank you, I called the hospital and they were pretty rubbish to be honest, said something about how I’m usually supposed to go to my GP first who then sends a midwife etc. I explained that my GP told me to call them first. They mentioned coming in for a 12 week scan (6 weeks away for me but I thought they saw you at 10-12 weeks) and I was sent from pillar to post and eventually got a dead line. May call my doc back again.

I see everyone talking about early scans, how and where does everyone get these? What point can you get one?

PS @barnyb the super human sense of smell is insane! I can smell fresh flowers from 50m away and cig smoke on people is driving me crazy

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 12:27

@barnyb oh no wow you're sense of smell has into overdrive and yours @MissMittens 🙈 I'm hoping that's what this is and pregnancy is giving me BO 😩😂

@MissMittens that's not great service, yeah you're meant to have a booking app about 8 weeks and then they book the scan as far as I'm aware (might differ per area)
Yeah cal your dr and explain what happened see if they can help. 🤞🏻

If you google it you'll find ones near you, I'm going to a mothercare one you can book online but it's only at certain stores

barnyb · 10/07/2019 12:33

@Abi58 oh no haha I thought u meant you can smell Bo on people !! I didn't know you meant you had BO! Haha uh oh! Maybe try a new deodorant! I use Michem it's prob not spelt like that but it's the best one for me!
Lol @MissMittens oh my god how funny! Can smell when someone had a cig 2 years ago! xxxxx

barnyb · 10/07/2019 12:33

Oh yes please everyone share scan pics x

mrslaurenbrown · 10/07/2019 12:35

@Abi58 don't worry I've had cramps at 'entrance of area' too 😂. It is a strange feeling but I also get this before my period so I have felt similar sensations before 😂. My boobs are aching so bad today!

Also @Abi58 and @Nefelibata86 I keep seeing comments about early scans. How do you go about this? Is it something you have to arrange and pay for privately?

SweetChillis · 10/07/2019 12:58

@mrslaurenbrown my early scan is a private one locally. Some companies will scan from 6 weeks to check baby is in the right place and everything looks how it should. If you search for early baby scans in your area it should bring up someone who does it. It's not necessary to have one, it's just peace of mind for me 😊

@Abi58 will definitely post my "blob"... assuming he/she is visible and all ok 😊

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 13:02

@barnyb 😂 I never smell 🙈 hopefully this was a bad day and not a new symptom 😂

Yay looking forward to seeing them 😁

@mrslaurenbrown 🙈 glad I'm not the only one it's an odd feeling! Omg me too well just before and during I used to get pulling twinges so these are slightly different but similar 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes it's private, you can just google it and find one near you, I'm doing mine at mothercare ☺️

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 13:03

@SweetChillis looking forward to seeing you blob and showing you mine 😂☺️

avocadoincident · 10/07/2019 13:09

Hi everyone I'm due March 15th

It'll be my third and I'm (obviously) super excited

blondie87 · 10/07/2019 13:45

I’m going to buck the trend and not get an early scan. I want to see all of yours though! @avocadoincident I’m having no3 too! I’m really nervous as three seems like a lifestyle choice haha!

missellajade94 · 10/07/2019 13:47

Just got my first ever BFP! Been trying for 8 months. Feel absolutely awful with stomachache, headache and flu like symptoms.
Very excited about what's to come but also very nervous! How did you all tell your OH?

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 14:08

@avocadoincident congratulations

@blondie87 I don't have the willpower to not but will definitely post. Pic next week 😁

@missellajade94 congratulations
I told mine with a pic of our cat on a mug and on the back it said you're going to be a daddy, oh and the mug is black until you fill it with boiling water then it appears 😁 he loved it

mrslaurenbrown · 10/07/2019 14:37

@missellajade94 Congratulations. I am a first timer too we were trying for 5 months. I put the positive tests on a plate hidden in the fridge with 'Daddy' spelt out in strawberry laces 😂. He's still got it he can't bring himself to part with it yet.

helpasisterout · 10/07/2019 15:25

Got a booking appointment for 7th August.. that is going to be a long wait for miss impatient! Should be about 9 weeks then 👍🏼 midwife who phoned me back was lovely so very reassuring.

threegreensheep · 10/07/2019 15:29

@mrslaurenbrown I know it's long wait, especially as everyone finds out so early now. We did have a private scan at 8 weeks last time but not sure we'll bother this time, but I might change my mind nearer the time!

Pikachu1 · 10/07/2019 15:40

Hello!

I didn't realise this thread was here, I've been hanging out on the other March one only!

I'm due roughly 5th March though can't be 100% sure of dates as baby was a bit of a surprise as we hadn't planned to start trying til October!

How is everyone?

barnyb · 10/07/2019 15:43

@missellajade94 ! Congratulations! Oh god it's so exciting but also so awful with all the emotions and sickness etc! Lol also I did my test at 4am on a weds morning so ran in the bedroom and woke him up 😂😂 xxxx
