March Babies

Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

@blondie87 ah no! Could you not wear a skirt? (I have a stretchy one 🙈)

@Dreams2020 yay that's amazing! You excited?

@AuroraMJ I'm pretty much sure. I had my last period starting the 1st June (bleed was chemical pregnancy) and definitively ovulated on the 15th (conformed by opks, horniness and temp rise 🙈) so 🤞🏻 I hope we can! I'll post a pic when we go☺️
Amazing news!!! And great you get another scan to see ☺️☺️☺️

Dreams2020 · 09/07/2019 18:22

Yes very xx

AuroraMJ · 09/07/2019 18:43

@Abi58 haha, I'm pretty certain with my dates too! You're one day behind me and my scan is the day before yours so we should be able to see similar things 😊

As it's at the EPAU, they won't give me a scan photo but I will try and be as descriptive as possible haha. Going to book the private in for 8/9 weeks if this one goes to plan.

Abi58 · 09/07/2019 19:04

@Dreams2020 ☺️

@AuroraMJ what are the chances! Yay! So yours is a week today? Aw do they not? I think they should offer it, even if for a fee to cover costs as only doing it check ok.
That would be amazing ☺️ I'm so so excited! Mines weds eve after work ☺️
We will prob have another at that to break up the wait we're too impatient 😂😁😁😁😁

MunchyMunchkin · 09/07/2019 19:10

@Abi58 think my dates are around the same as yours, ovulated around the 15th (I think).
Looks like a few of us having 6 and a bit week scans next week!

AuroraMJ · 09/07/2019 19:11

@Abi58 Yep! Tuesday morning! I wish they did but I'll definitely be getting the private scan so we can have a photo to take home too! 😊

I'm impatient too. Husband would happily wait till 12 weeks but I'm too much of an anxious person 🙈 Have you had your booking appt date? I had my letter through last week - 25th July!

Abi58 · 09/07/2019 19:12

@MunchyMunchkin ahhh ☺️ what day are you having yours and how far will you be?
Wow very close ovulation wise 😁 well have to share pics 😍

Abi58 · 09/07/2019 19:15

@AuroraMJ ☺️ can you take a sneaky photo of the screen to keep? 🙈
Aw mine was actually quite keen on the early scan although when I showed him the ics of what we might see he was like oh it's not a baby yet? I want to see a baby shape 😂 so I told him we could have another but I want this early just to check going ok after last months 😩🙈

Yes mines just at my gp surgery they have a visiting midwife on Tuesdays so it's booked for the 30th July 😁

AuroraMJ · 09/07/2019 19:21

@Abi58 He was at first but now we're having the NHS one next week, he thinks that will suffice! Not for me 🙈 I might try and take a sneaky photo actually as she did leave me get to changed earlier so could have a spare minute!

Ah that's good! Mine is somewhere else but still close by! It's good how quick they are at making these appointments though. I like having short deadlines as it makes the time go quicker haha.

Abi58 · 09/07/2019 19:25

@AuroraMJ tell him you want the photo 😁 ooo yes do they leave it on the screen ?? Perfect chance even if just for you to look at ! Mine will be to remind me I'm pregnant, not sure I'll even believe it when I have a bump!

As long as it's close and soon 😁 yeah it really does! Another reason for wanting to have another scan just break up the waits 😂

AuroraMJ · 09/07/2019 19:32

@Abi58 Haha, I'll just do it without telling him and I know he'll be glad once he's sees a photo! Yeah, she left it on as I was changing! Hopefully she'll do it again next week 🤞🏻😁

I'm still in disbelief tbh! I probably won't believe it fully till baby is in my arms 😂

Yes, definitely need to break it up or I'll go mad wondering what's going on in there!

MunchyMunchkin · 09/07/2019 19:36

@AuroraMJ my booking is on the same day!

@Abi58 mine will be next Thursday so think will be 6+4/5. Be nice to hopefully get a good estimate of gestation as I’ve only got an inkling when it was. Tend to have 33 day cycles and had a chemical on 24th May which seemed to delay ovulation a bit. Though who knows!

MunchyMunchkin · 09/07/2019 19:37

Although I’m happy to use 24th May as an LMP as means I won’t have to wait as long for my dating scan.

Cornettos · 09/07/2019 20:09

Hi everyone!

I had my bfp on Saturday, I think I’m due 14 March!

Has anyone got any experience of Tommy’s, kings or Chelsea and Westminster (all in london)? I don’t know which one to fill out the form and register, they’re all pretty near me....

threegreensheep · 09/07/2019 21:35

@mrslaurenbrown I remeber saying last time, oh this is good I've not had nausea yet (at 7 weeks) , then bam, next morning, bought my breakfast up! So I'm guessing it may start again same time this time. It's awful, don't wish it on!

mrslaurenbrown · 09/07/2019 21:59

@threegreensheep aww yeah I know what you mean as soon as it comes on I will miss the days I didn't have it 😂. I hate this waiting period between bfp and the 12 week scan (which I haven't had a date for yet) so just looking for the symptoms as reassurance more than anything

oksim · 09/07/2019 22:13

Hi everyone!

I'm a first-timer here! Due the 12th of March, absolutely terrified of MC.
Having lots of cramping and sore boobs otherwise all is normal!
How is everyone else doing? X

Nefelibata86 · 09/07/2019 22:40

@mrslaurenbrown I was in your shoes last week worrying about absence of symptoms - now the nausea is real! It sounds like symptoms or lack of can vary But appreciate it’s easy to worry either way xx you may be feeling different next week.

@Cornettos those are my available options and in that order of closeness too. I plumped for tommies but have since seen nhs review of the wards ( let me know if you can’t find it) which places tommies as not so great for client satisfaction around being worried about being left alone in labour. I kind of regret my choice now and wish I’d researched it more. A good thing about Kch is scanning specialism and it read as though you might get an extra scan but I can’t be sure. It’s possible to change at a later point too but I also think continuity would be good. I’m going to ask midwife’s opinion at the appointment but imagine she is affiliated with one so may be biased!

Also pleased to see people’s updates that things seem to be going well x I’m also 6 week mark and tempted to jump on early scan wagon but haven’t decided whether to for sure.

Abi58 · 09/07/2019 22:50

@AuroraMJ 😂😂 would he not want to be with you? He will definitely love it seeing a baby shaped baby (I think you should by then) and a photo to keep 😁
Ooo yes 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Haha even then I might not believe it's mine and think it's a niece or nephew I have to give back 🙈
I'm exactly the same. It is a lot of money but for my price of mine I feel it's worth it ☺️

@MunchyMunchkin sorry for your loss 💕 my month last month was also a chemical. Thankfully my ovulation was only affected by 1 day. We will be about the same on the day of the scan :) you'll have to share a pic ☺️ yeah hopefully they can give you more of an idea 🤞🏻
A shorter wait is definitely appealing!

@Cornettos welcome and congratulations! Sorry I'm not sure about any of those and not in that area. Are they instead of an nhs midwife or place to give birth?

@threegreensheep 🤞🏻 it's not as bad for you this time

@mrslaurenbrown I know it's hard to relax I'm analysing every cramp and feeling so I'm with you but try to enjoy, at least then if you do end up being sick you enjoyed not for a while ☺️

@oksim welcome and congratulations! Try not to worry (although I'm with you after having a chemical pregnancy last month) I've researched and cramps as long as not severe are completely normal, the egg burrowing deeper and your uterus starting to stretch ☺️ I'm also getting what feels like contractions/cramps that feel like they are at the entrance of my area which is just odd 🙈

@Nefelibata86 it's completely up to you I am for reassurance and because I'm impatient and want to see if there is actually something growing in me, despite symptoms and tests I still can't believe it's real! 😂

mangobutter · 10/07/2019 00:19

@Cornettos just found this as I'm on the thread in antenatal groups. I'm with Kings and was last time, found it overall a positive experience although obvs I have no basis for comparison! I'm more than happy to go back a second time though. Being London hospitals I imagine they're all much of a muchness in terms of busy-ness tbh, my only slight complaint would have been that I never saw the same midwife twice, and the postnatal ward was fairly hellish but I think that's similar everywhere! Can't fault my care for the most part.

QueenOfThePumpkins · 10/07/2019 06:58

@Abi58 I could probably try to make the time up over the following week, that's a good idea :) Ideally I wouldn't want to tell anyone other than both of our mums and my sister until we've had the 12 week scan, but working in a cosy little office of three I feel that it will come out sooner! When the midwife called me I had to dash off out just in case the other two ladies picked up on anything! And when the nausea etc starts I think it will be very obvious indeed. I'm not sure how people do manage to keep it private for long in many working environments... does anyone have any tips?!

So glad things are looking positive for you @AuroraMJ Smile
It is good that they are getting your appointments in nice and quickly too.

Hi @oksim, congratulations on the positive. I'm a first timer too. I know what you mean about being terrified of MC, I had no idea how common it was until I started looking on here. I think that's why the reality of being pregnant isn't at all sinking in for me yet, I'm trying not to get too excited in case it doesn't work out.
So sorry to those who have suffered losses Flowers

Good luck to everyone who is having an early scan, it's so interesting to hear what can be seen this early on.

SweetChillis · 10/07/2019 07:43

I've decided to join all you ladies with early scans next week! I'm feeling anxious with every niggle that something is wrong so decided rather than wait for 12 weeks to arrive, to book one next week. I'm hoping everything looks normal so I can relax a bit 🤞

MissMittens · 10/07/2019 07:50

Hi Everyone,

Total newbie here posting for the first time! Have been reading all your posts, too scared to post because it all seems so surreal that I got my BFP a few days ago. Everything I’ve read so far I’ve thought ‘yep, same’ so it’s been a massive relief to have somewhere to go to read others going through the same, especially in these early days when I can’t tell anyone.

I’m 5 and a bit weeks- not made first appt yet and not really sure how to go about that. Doc says to just call my local hospital may unit but I’m moving from London to Wiltshire in 3 weeks time so bit confused. Any advice appreciated -thanks

MunchyMunchkin · 10/07/2019 07:57

@Cornettos kings has a great reputation for scanning as has the famous consultant who runs the fetal medicine centre. However @mangobutter is right about post natal wards. I’ve worked on 3 and they are all hell on earth. Never enough midwives per woman.
I’d go with the one that it’s easiest for you to access mid labour given that they are all great centres.
