Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

Due 8th March! :)

barnyb · 08/07/2019 17:36

Feel sick all the time and have gone off every thing. 🤢🤢🤢 had cramps last week mild. But nothing since. M.C twice last year xxxx

MunchyMunchkin · 08/07/2019 18:42

Good luck @AuroraMJ

I told my work colleague today so that she can scan me next Thursday when I’ll be about 6+4.
She was great during my MMC so nice to have her onboard. So also keeps me sane!

lidslola1008 · 08/07/2019 19:01

If I’ve worked my dates out correct then my DD is 12.3.20. When is everyone contacting the gp/community midwife. I can’t remember how long I left it till I did with my daughter. Also I don’t really want to waste a gp appointment just for them to tell me your pregnant when I already know that haha!

blondie87 · 08/07/2019 19:10

Hope everything is ok tomorrow @AuroraMJ.
@lidslola1008 don’t know if it’s different where you are but I just rang the GP surgery who book you in with the midwife when you’re 8 weeks.

Flossylou · 08/07/2019 19:24

@AuroraMJ good luck tommorow.

barnyb · 08/07/2019 19:26

@lidslola1008 are u from the uk?

barnyb · 08/07/2019 19:27

If your from the uk you can go on the nhs website and declare it on there and set up midwife and 12 week scan up at the hospital. No need to see doctor

lidslola1008 · 08/07/2019 19:54

@barnyb yes I’m from Worcester. Il try and do that via nhs website then I’ve not heard of it before thanks

barnyb · 08/07/2019 20:01

@lidslola1008 I just did mine last week and iv already got my scan letter through for August 22nd :) and I'm just waiting on the midwife now. I went to the doctor and he said you don't need to tell me you self refer yourself online x

Cupcakes1234 · 08/07/2019 20:10

How have you guys booked your 12 week scan? I thought I had to wait for my midwife to book it for me. I've just been on the NHS website and 12 week scan but it says the midwife has to book it for you

MaryH90 · 08/07/2019 20:25

Has anyone got a link for this?

MunchyMunchkin · 08/07/2019 20:35

Not all areas are online. Best to ring your gp practice and find out what the local pathway is.
Here you see midwife at the surgery around 8 weeks and they request your dating scan.

barnyb · 08/07/2019 21:18

This is what I typed in and it did it all for me. I'm from Brighton

Hi everyone!

Can't believe I only just found this thread! I'm due on 1 March 2020! My main symptom has been period like cramping so I'm glad to hear so many others are experiencing the same. No sickness for me yet. Last night there was a small amount of brown blood when I wiped. Haven't had anything else before or after so I'm hoping all ok?!

I did 4 tests 1 week ago now and all strong positives.

I really want to receive details of my booking in appointment with the midwife. The GP referred me on Friday.

threegreensheep · 08/07/2019 22:16

Hi all, can I join? Was on the other thread but this is more active! BFP on Friday, 2nd baby. Trying not to get too excited as early days (and I started with sickness at 7 weeks last time so not looking forward to that).
Who has told people? We go away with my family on 20th so will be 6+ if all well, not sure I'll be able to keep it secret this time! Told parents at 8 weeks after private scan and everyone else at 12 weeks last time but not sure that'll work out this time.

Abi58 · 08/07/2019 22:27

@Flossylou I wish I could work from him more and stay in my pjs 🙈 I wanted to sleep by lunch time!

@lidslola1008 oh it's horrid isn't it! I seriously look 6 months and tmi but it's like I'm poorly when I visit the bathroom 😩 I've been wearing stretch and loose things 🙈
I booked an app with my dr but that was due to concern after early miscarriage last month and to ask for bloods. I think it depends where you are based but call your go and ask the receptionist how you get referred. Mine has a midwife at the go in certain days so they just booked me in, others will give you a number or send something off for you. Where abouts are you? I'm warwickshire

@AuroraMJ glad it's sound positive and sounds like it's some harmless spotting keeping everything crossed for you as well 🤞🏻💕 let us know how your scan goes!

@barnyb due the day after me 😁
Sorry to hear about your losses 💕
That's really useful but only for that area, where I am I had to get an app through my gp (actually at my gp surgery)

@MunchyMunchkin that's great that you can confide in her and she can help you. Have you had to book an app sort of or just popping in on your lunch? 😁 I'm having one at 6+4 as well hoping well be able to see something 🤞🏻

@Cupcakes1234 I'm under the impression that the midwife will book mine at the app as well. I have got an early scan a week weds but that's private (through mothercare)

@mrslaurenbrown welcome and congratulations! Not sure how long referrals take but if you don't hear by Friday maybe chase the gp?

MunchyMunchkin · 08/07/2019 22:42

@Abi58 we work in the same department! So she will quickly scan me before we start morning clinic. I will probably end up bothering her every two weeks until the dating scan.
Dinner (normally boozy) with her and two other drs the next day so be nice to have had a scan before I let the cat out of the bag.

Suzanne4989 · 08/07/2019 22:46

Hello, I'm new to this. Period is due tomorrow and if I am pregnant I will be due in March, hoping and praying as it would have been my dads birthday in March. We lost him just before Christmas. Any way sorry to jump on the post I just wondered what your symptoms were before you found out? Thank you in advance x

Abi58 · 08/07/2019 22:52

@MunchyMunchkin ah that's good! Can I come? 😂🙈
At least you know if you have any worries you can get it checked quickly ☺️

@Suzanne4989 last cycle I had an early miscarriage but my symptoms were sore nipples and waves of nausea, this cycle I thought I was out as nipples were fine was nauseous but had cramps so was shocked when I got my bfp and fingers crossed this one is sticking!

Annoyingly pg and PMs symptoms are very similar, vary from woman to woman and in my short experience can even vary from pregnancy to pregnancy. So unfortunately the only way to know is to take a test.
How many dpo are you?

Suzanne4989 · 08/07/2019 23:00

@Abi58 im15 days now xx so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I had one before my daughter. It's so unfair when that happens xx

QueenOfThePumpkins · 09/07/2019 06:31

@MunchyMunchkin it must be so handy to work in that sort of setting when pregnant! Sorry to hear about your previous MMC Flowers

Good luck for today @AuroraMJ, please let us know how you get on. It does sound promising given what your mum has said.

I took another test this morning as I'm 5 weeks today but still largely symptom free. The test line was as strong as the control one this time though, so I'm taking that as a good sign! I still don't quite believe that I'm pregnant. Planning to take one more test at the weekend before telling just my mum and sis Grin

I called my GP yesterday to ask what I should do about starting the booking process. I got a call back from the midwife about an hour later and am booked in for week 8. So I guess it does vary from area to area and ringing the GP would be the best starting point. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to manage the appointments, as the midwife only comes to our surgery for a brief window right in the middle of the day. I work office hours and my commute is nearly 45 minutes each way, so definitely can't just sneak off... May have to tell my manager earlier than I wanted to!

MaryH90 · 09/07/2019 06:58

Is anyone else around the 6 week mark experiencing morning sickness yet? I’m 6+1 and have had some nausea but no waves of severe nausea and retching like I did with my DD at this point. I’m getting a little bit worried.

OP posts:
Abi58 · 09/07/2019 07:17

@Suzanne4989 thank you lovely 💕 sorry for your loss.
Try and test today if af is due? 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you!

@QueenOfThePumpkins test sounds great you are pregnant! (But I completely get it I still don't believe I'm pregnant 🙈)

Great you've got your app booked in! Mines the same one day for a a couple hours for first app then a few hours in the afternoon that day for all other apps. I also work about 45 mins away thankfully I'm able to work from home the odd day but I have to have a good reason like drs and. No idea how many apps I can make up before they either think I'm interviewing/skiving 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️
Are you able to make up time at all?

When were you planning on telling work?

@MaryH90 try not to worry (please return the favour when it is me posting I have great advice I can't take myself 😂🙈)
Every pregnancy is different, hormone level might not be rising as rapidly (don't worry it's slow maybe with dd it rose extremely quickly) or maybe your body is tolerating the hormone this time

I'm 5+3 now and waves of nausea thought I was going to be sick yesterday morning but wasn't expected to be hit again today and it start in the next few days but just the usual nausea I've been getting so 🤷🏻‍♀️
I'm expecting it as my mum had it really badly and nausea started so early but I have no period to compare to
