Tentatively starting a thread for those due in March 2020! I got my BFP yesterday and EDD is 3rd March next year. I got my BFP really early so nervously waiting for the days to go by until I feel a bit more ‘pregnant’. This is number 2 for me. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

Ooh that is a great tip about the mocktails @Mostunexpected, definitely pinching that Grin

Abi58 · 08/07/2019 06:45

@lidslola1008 congratulations!
Not too sure on excuses but agree that antibiotics is too obvious! Buy your own drinks and just get the mixer is a great idea

@QueenOfThePumpkins what makes you nervous to tell people?
We're telling our parents and siblings around 7-8 weeks as we want them to know but everyone else we will tell around 12 weeks

Mostunexpected · 08/07/2019 06:50

We were going to wait until 20 weeks to tell everyone but then my parents were visiting this weekend and due to a mix up I needed then to rush me to the station so I could get a train to make my appointment on time and so I had to give them some idea about what was going on lol

QueenOfThePumpkins · 08/07/2019 06:56

@Abi58 I think it's because I've had a diagnosed anxiety disorder for a long time, and I know my family will worry that I won't cope Blush
I've worked so hard to overcome it before becoming a mum, which is partly why we put off TTC for a couple of years despite feeling ready in all other ways. I'm sure they also still think of me as a little girl a lot of the time!

Abi58 · 08/07/2019 07:07

@Mostunexpected wow could you have hidden it for 20 weeks? I'm not showing but look6 months from bloating and getting raised eyebrows 🙈

@QueenOfThePumpkins aw that makes sense but try not to worry if you and your husband feel ready that's all that matters ☺️

Mostunexpected · 08/07/2019 07:34

@Abi58 last time, apart from a handful of people, we didn't tell anyone until after 6 months Shock
But as this is the second I might start showing earlier and might not be able to hide it for as long

lidslola1008 · 08/07/2019 07:57

Thanks girls! Yes I thought about the antibiotics one and probably far too obvious especially as I’m fine! Going to try the lemonade (and imaginary gin) in a gin glass and pour mine myself or if someone makes a drink I may have to take a sip then get rid of the rest Confused I just want to keep things private for that bit longer!

BarleyG · 08/07/2019 07:58

CrazyFooLady you could have conceived while still on the pill. I have done 3 times, my mum did twice and my sister did twice. According to the GP some people just do 🤷🏼‍♀️

blondie87 · 08/07/2019 08:20

We told both sets of parents this weekend as they were both visiting. They both knew about the miscarriage a couple of months’ ago so it was nice to share good news!

Abi58 · 08/07/2019 12:04

@Mostunexpected wow no idea how you held off for so long

@lidslola1008 sounds like a plan ☺️

@blondie87 that's lovely you've told them and sorry about your loss

Anyone starting to have symptoms? I've had quite a few but all quite mild but this morning I was so close to being sick so I think in the next few days that will start 🙈 also could happily go to bed right now... 🙈

lidslola1008 · 08/07/2019 12:42

I didn’t know Malibu was weak, haven’t had one of those in years that’s a great idea

Flossylou · 08/07/2019 12:55

Can I tentatively join please, 9dpo today and got a faint line on frer after feeling sick for the past few days!!
Had an ectopic in January so I'm so nervous, we're going on a family holiday in two weeks so hoping I can get some reassurance prior to then. Confused
Would be due 22nd March I think. X

Mostunexpected · 08/07/2019 13:04

Yeah lids, malibu is only 21% whereas things like gin and rum would be twice as strong. And a tiny amount of alcohol as a one off would be OK anyway

satsumasaturday · 08/07/2019 13:22

I accidentally took a big gulp of my dh's gin and tonic yesterday - it was very strong!! (Tastes good though) His excuse was that he's drinking for two....

Pimms would be another good one as they tend to make them really weak in bars and I think that's 20% or less

I plucked up the courage to go and register the pregnancy with the doctors surgery here this morning (I'd held off as I started to miscarry about an hour after doing so last time). Hopefully I'll get a call from the midwife in the next few days

blondie87 · 08/07/2019 13:36

Congratulations @Flossylou. Sorry for your loss though.

@Abi58 my stomach is so bloated I actually look pregnant! Hard to conceal and iceberg had to use an elastic to loop through the button hole so I can actually wear them! Feel just run down, tired and occasionally nauseous. Could literally fall asleep right now...

Abi58 · 08/07/2019 13:52

@Flossylou congratulations and sorry for your loss

@satsumasaturday 💕 great milestone and it onwards and upwards now 😁

@blondie87 me too! I look 6 months!! And I'm with you there I could happily go home and to bed 😴

Flossylou · 08/07/2019 13:59

@Abi58 @blondie87 thank you.

I'm so tired today I'm so pleased I can work from home, had ds sports day this morning and it was obviously hard work sitting there. Just woke up from a half hour nap.

Dinosauraddict · 08/07/2019 14:28

@Flossylou I'm working from home too and would really really like a nap about now!!

Flossylou · 08/07/2019 14:30

@Dinosauraddict i didn't mean to nap it just happened... I have no control anymore. Fortunately I woke up after half an hour Grin

lidslola1008 · 08/07/2019 15:23

@Abi58 with you on being bloated everything I eat seems to give me a bad tummy at the moment! It needs to disappear by tomorrow as I won’t fit into my work trousers lol!

AuroraMJ · 08/07/2019 16:01

Hi all,

Little update on the spotting/ectopic scare.

I have my scan tomorrow morning at the EPAU to check if it is ectopic. Still spotting brown but it is very light and doesn't seem to be getting worse. No sharp pains really, just twinges and back aches.

I told my mom about the pregnancy. I wasn't planning to this early but I know I'd need her if it does turn out to be ectopic. She told me she spotted with all of her pregnancies so I'm hoping it's just a genetic thing!

Other pregnancy symptoms have mostly been sore boobs, bloating later in the day (though this is starting to calm down a little) peeing nonstop and it's doing my head in! Nausea occasionally but I have vertigo so not too different from that.

Keeping my fingers crossed for positive news tomorrow 🤞🏻 Hope you're all well and taking care of yourselves ❤️

AuroraMJ · 08/07/2019 16:05

Oh and definitely a heightened sense of smell! Which is putting me off certain foods.

satsumasaturday · 08/07/2019 16:34

@AuroraMJ I hope all goes well at your scan tomorrow, that must be reassuring to know that your mum had spotting too - I feel like that sort of thing must be hereditary. You inherit the same shape nose etc so you must also inherit the same type of womb, we just don't talk about those bits 😂

Hgc rises slowly with ectopics doesn't it? So the fact that you Have symptoms is a good sign I think. Let us know how it goes x

AuroraMJ · 08/07/2019 16:41

@satsumasaturday Haha, I think you're right about the inherited womb!

I think HCG can rise slower with ectopics and the lines are my tests have definitely been getting stronger so I'm hoping that's a good sign 🤞🏻 I just feel like I need to know whether it is or not now - the wait is the worst!!

Cupcakes1234 · 08/07/2019 17:20

Good luck tomorrow @AuroraMJ but it sounds like everything will be ok. As long as you have no intense pains I think you'll be fine
