Hi everyone, how's everything feeling 36 weeks?

Kicks are bizarre right the way round my side but also getting low pains so hoping he is still head down.
Trapped wind pains I think round front and back
I think I'm also getting Braxton hicks but low down tightening rather than whole stomach
Dodgy tummy
Feeling so emotional with surge of hormones and wanting to cry at everything
Feeling also a bit manic with some small bursts of cleaning before just lying on sofa
Feeling generally bit more panicky about the whole baby going to be hear soon not to mention the birth!

Does this all sound normal?!

Good luck tomorrow @Lauren83 hope all goes well!

And that's a hard decision to make @pancakes22 as it different birth experience but I'm sure whichever you choose you will be fine and get through it! When are you due? You may just go naturally.

I was offered an induction on Friday but turned it down as don't want to be in agony for days and all the intervention. But now I think I might change my mind this week if it's offered to me again as I will nearly be 40 weeks. I'm getting really impatient and just want it over n done with now so I can stop stressing.

Kelis22 · 23/06/2019 12:54

@pancakes22 I think it's just the not knowing what's going to happen on the day and how well am I going to cope with the pain that's making me anxious. And I had thought for weeks I was having to have a section because my placenta was very low, then it changed and could have natural birth then got told baby was breech so plans kept changing all the time!

curiositycreature · 23/06/2019 21:12

Good luck tomorrow @Lauren83 hope everything goes according to plan. And hope you’ve managed to have a nice day with DS today.

I don’t think there is a wrong decision there pancakes but at least if you try vaginal they can always give you a section if it’s necessary. When is your due date?

Why did they offer you induction early kelis? I don’t get one until I’m 41+5. And obviously hoping it doesn’t get that far!

I’ve been sat with a rock hard bump for about ten minutes. No contractions of any sort, and it doesn’t hurt. It’s just rock hard. That’s a new one Confused

Capybaras · 23/06/2019 21:29

Good luck for tomorrow @Lauren83 must be so exciting to think that you'll have your baby in your arms tomorrow!

Oh that's interesting @curiositycreature fingers crossed it means something.

Can't keep track of how far along everyone is now - I'm 37+5 so a bit behind the rest of you I think!

Capybaras · 23/06/2019 21:31

Haven't heard from
@RMarieClaire in a while - hope everything's ok!

curiositycreature · 24/06/2019 03:05

Good luck @pancakes22!!

Kelis22 · 24/06/2019 10:52

Ooh good luck @pancakes22 !! Hope all goes well!

@curiositycreature I have been in 3 times with reduced movements and baby has extra blood vessel on heart so they offered it Friday but I just agreed to come in and be monitored as heart and brain activity came back normal!

Hopefully you will go before then! And it sounds like your body is preparing. :-)

Bjones123 · 25/06/2019 10:10

Hello, thank you all for the congratulations. I hope everything is going okay for you all! I'm being discharged today after a few days in hospital. She was jaundice yesterday due to issues with feeding so they wanted to keep her in to monitor but getting better now.

Good luck to everyone!

Capybaras · 25/06/2019 14:38

That's great news you're being discharged, how do you feel about taking baby home? So exciting!

Hope you're good too @pancakes22 !

Had a good morning of sorting out so on a little break now. Booked reflexology for next week too, to hopefully get things moving if nothing has happened by then!

BarryBarryTaylor · 25/06/2019 14:43

Can I join? I’m 36weeks on Friday!

Still working (I’m a CM) i am slowing down though. Mixture of the heat and hayfever is definitely taking its toll.

I have a stitch type feeling on my right hand side and head is down apparently. I’ve got a massive bump, I think it’s a combination of 2nd baby, me being nearly 6ft, and all the cake Blush

Hoping I got into natural labour this time, I was induced first time round and that was tough.

Don’t forget to pack a fan in your hospital bags, it’s very hot on labour wards!

pancakes22 · 25/06/2019 15:24

Baby Tommy arrived yesterday at 6.47. Thank you for your well wishes. I will save my story until a few more of us have delivered so I don't scare anyone but ended up in an emergency section again. He's a little beauty though xx

36 weeks anyone?

Kelis22 · 25/06/2019 21:26

Oh no hope your ok @pancakes22 and recovering well! Congratulations he is a little cutie!

Welcome to the group @BarryBarryTaylor
All good signs and thanks for the tip lol!

Things r finally starting! I've had the bloody show, a sweep today and 2cm dilated! Period type pains haven't stopped since this morning and I am booked in for induction 11am Thursday if she hasn't come by then! It's starting to feel real now Grin

Capybaras · 25/06/2019 22:19

Congratulations @pancakes22 he's gorgeous. Hope you're both doing well!

Welcome @BarryBarryTaylor why do hospitals always have to be so hot?! I used to work in one and hated the summer!

Oh wow @Kelis22 hope things progress nicely for you, keep us updated!

Went for a nice long walk with DH this eve - lots of braxton hicks but nothing else yet.

Lauren83 · 26/06/2019 15:17

Congrats @pancakes22 he is gorgeous! Sorry for the late update I have had no signal in hospital, we had our little one Monday at 9.21am by ELCS, all went well but they kept him in an extra day for IV antibiotics as he was grunting a bit.

36 weeks anyone?
curiositycreature · 26/06/2019 20:42

Babies! Yay!! Congratulations @pancakes22 and @Lauren83, those are some gorgeous boys. Can’t wait to meet my own!

Welcome @BarryBarryTaylor... how are you feeling? Fingers crossed no induction for you this time. Thanks for the tip with the fan, I’ve got DH keeping a lookout for one.

Any news from anyone else? I feel like every update from everyone sounds like things are imminent.

I’m 40+1 today and went for a sweep. More than anything else I just wanted someone to have a peek down there and tell me how things looking. She said I’m 2cm dilated and cervix is 1cm long. Baby is 4/5 engaged. So that all sounds positive! Last time I was in (38 weeks) she had a feel and told me she didn’t think I’d make it to my next appointment, so I think she daren’t tell me anything similar this time!

Capybaras · 26/06/2019 21:17

Congratulations @Lauren83 he's gorgeous! Glad you're both home now!

No updates from me really @curiositycreature - I am pooing a lot at the moment and having the tiniest of period cramps at times but nothing that makes me think baby is imminent.

That's positive that you're already dilated - wonder when things will ramp up for you! Do you feel normal?

Is everyone else struggling with this heat? I'm so sweaty it's delightful!

BarryBarryTaylor · 26/06/2019 21:17

Hello kellis22 capybaras lauren83 curiositycreature

Such beautiful boys, I’m so excited to meet my little son. I’m feeling tired and I keep getting mild period type cramps but they are coming and going. I think it’s just my pelvis getting ready.
There are battery fans on amazon prime for £9.99, or if anyone is around Monki (the clothes shop) they have pretty paper ones at the minute, can’t remember how much for.

Hope you are all well ladies 💙

Kelis22 · 27/06/2019 07:19

Congratulations @Lauren83 another little bundle of joy what a cutie!

How you feeling @curiositycreature ? Are things progressing after your sweep?

I am in the early stages of labour constant pains since yesterday morning and just the strangest thing has happened! I am quite pale skinned and it literally looks like I've been to the Bahamas! My skin has gone so dark the past few days! I'm not complaining tho lol Grin

Hope everyone's doing ok , stay posted

curiositycreature · 27/06/2019 10:07

Sign me up for a labour-tan @Kelis22 sounds great!! (Also very pale!)

As a kid I had beautiful strawberry blonde hair but it faded into a mousey colour as I got older. Being pregnant has made me very ginger! I’ve loved it! Hoping it sticks around a bit.

Very exciting that you’re in the early stages 😊 how far along are you now?

Not sure if sweep has done anything... cracked a filling last night so praying it doesn’t do anything until midday when I can get in to see the dentist!

Capybaras · 27/06/2019 10:13

I want this tan too! Going to hit the beach today to try and work on it. Everyone likes a beached whale 😂

Been quite horny the past few days, is that a sign? Had a few cramps last night but nothing much!
It's so exciting that people are having their babies now.

Capybaras · 29/06/2019 10:28

Any updates @Kelis22 ?

How's everyone else doing?
