Hi everyone, how's everything feeling 36 weeks?

Kicks are bizarre right the way round my side but also getting low pains so hoping he is still head down.
Trapped wind pains I think round front and back
I think I'm also getting Braxton hicks but low down tightening rather than whole stomach
Dodgy tummy
Feeling so emotional with surge of hormones and wanting to cry at everything
Feeling also a bit manic with some small bursts of cleaning before just lying on sofa
Feeling generally bit more panicky about the whole baby going to be hear soon not to mention the birth!

Does this all sound normal?!

Looks it in those photos! How far apart are they?

pancakes22 · 05/06/2019 13:57

Literally a few days. Just seen midwife and fully engaged but she said she can't predict how long things will take!

My midwife said baby was in a good position, I’m measuring exactly 37 weeks. She seemed to leaning towards late than anything else. Just said firsts are generally late. I’m OK with that! Hope she hasn’t lulled me into a false sense of security!

ffiffi8 · 05/06/2019 21:59

@pancakes22 I have no idea this'll be my first so nothing to compare it to, seems to have eased off a bit now, I've been told a lot it's a way of your body 'clearing itself out' how lovely Confused other than that I feel great to be fair, I'm just excited to meet her now Grin

pancakes22 · 08/06/2019 17:44

Feeling the pressure down low now. Feeling very uncomfortable and more like stretching I suppose rather than cramps increasing and decreasing across that low area but it's not nice standing up and much more comfy being stretched out against something. Getting hot flushes too and feeling bit sick and emotional. I've got images of me feeling like this for weeks which is really disheartening!!

How's everyone else?

Can I join too? I'm 36+6 today. I have a CD booked on 25th when i'll be 39 weeks due to previous CS. Finding these last few weeks a real struggle as trying to keep up with 2 year old toddler and prepare everything plus really struggling with PGP.

ffiffi8 · 08/06/2019 18:19

Anyone else starting to get VERY needy and clingy with DP/DH? Usually I love my own space but I just want cuddles, to be near him, hate him going out... it's bizarre, I love him dearly but I feel like I love him a whole load more lately Confused

Lauren83 · 08/06/2019 18:22

@thedocisin I'm 36.6 today and have an ELCS booked for 24th, DS is 16 months and it's bloody hard isn't it!

Lauren83 · 08/06/2019 18:25

I think the baby might have not be back to back now as I can feel his bum and back again (I think) I also felt really sick yesterday and have been weepy today although DP is just really annoying me at the mo and I have been sleeping in the spare room!

Dug out the next to me and sleepyhead today and sterilised all the bottles, finish work in 12 days Grin

thedocisin · 08/06/2019 19:48

DH is totally annoying me too. No rush of Love here at the moment i'm afraid, instead the poor bloke can't do anything right. Most of the time I know I'm being unreasonable but literally everything seems to annoy me at the moment. I'm blaming hormones!

@Lauren83 that sounds very organised! I've started mat leave already but haven't really accomplished anything due to chasing after toddler ever second of the day

curiositycreature · 10/06/2019 06:51

I just don’t want to be apart from DH. I’m finding this waiting around quite nerve racking and having him here reassures me. Definitely clingy but not necessarily wanting cuddles etc.

I’ve recently discovered I’m a total control freak and having no control over this is torture!

Moses92 · 10/06/2019 12:06

36+6 now, feeling sick every night no matter what I eat and my SPD has kicked up a notch making moving in bed pure agony! Yes to being clingy with OH and also a bit weird about being too far from home? Went to visit family over an hour away yesterday and was uncomfortable with not being at home!

curiositycreature · 10/06/2019 14:43

Glad it’s not just me Moses, I don’t want to be far OR commit to anything which would involve being away from home for a long time (even if it’s close by). I’m probably making the waiting worse by doing this though 😂

What is SPD?

Capybaras · 10/06/2019 14:51

Can I join you? 35+6 so nearly 36 weeks! Have 3 more days in work and I cannot wait to be done. Going through a mega emotional phase at the moment - I'm crying at anything (my poor DH and family). Starting to struggle with sleeping now as my hips are so sore and getting braxton hicks whenever I do anything remotely active. Feel like I have so much to prep for baby too, so trying to balance sorting and resting enough!

curiositycreature · 10/06/2019 14:55

What’s your to do list Capybaras? Hang in there! Will be easier when you finish work.

Capybaras · 10/06/2019 14:58

Pack my hospital bag for starters Grin think we have everything for the baby now I just need to sort it out. DH is in his last few weeks of a course for work so once he's done we can do the nursery (will feel so much better when I can unpack everything for baby!). Also want to get some batch cooking done so we don't starve or live on take aways once baby is here.

mawof3soontobe · 10/06/2019 15:03

36+5 today for me. I've been ridiculously extreme with nesting, decluttered my entire house and cleaned everything! I've never been so ruthless with clutter and it feels amazing! I've went from being very calm and serene to very snipey and moody which is really annoying me! I've had braxton hicks galore for so many weeks now I've lost count. Is anyone else as curious as me and went cervix hunting to see how things are progressing? Blush

Moses92 · 10/06/2019 18:47

@curiositycreature SPD/ pelvic girdle pain. Feels like my pubic bone is going to rupture! Also not committing to anything hate seeing people at the moment I just want to be me and OH on our own don't know why ha!
@mawof3soontobe jealous of the nesting I haven't been through this yet and don't think I will tbh! Also never had a braxton hicks so a bit concerned if I get one I might think it's the real thing haha

pancakes22 · 10/06/2019 19:13

@Capybaras we are having some building work done and nursery is not yet decorated so I am totally with you on wanting to unpack etc! Everything is piled up in the corner of another room and I've no idea what I've got and haven't got so looking forward to hopefully getting things sorted maybe next week.

Hormones just feel crazy and I want to cry all the time. I'm so paranoid that baby isn't moving as much as he used to even though I know in my head it's because he's lower but I'm still worried what if I miss something and I should have gone and checked him out. Also getting really fed up with my poor DD who just wants to play with me but I just have no energy for her. If I feel like this now I'm wondering how on earth im going to cope with two and feel like a terrible mama at the moment Sad

Also, bit gross but has anyone felt more damp down there? Not sure if it's just more discharge? Or perhaps my pelvic floor is just getting worse....?!

OP posts:
pancakes22 · 10/06/2019 19:14

@mawof3soontobe cervix hunting made me laugh! I'm very curious but would have no idea what I'm feeling for!!

OP posts:
curiositycreature · 10/06/2019 19:36

pancakes.... also having building work! They’re currently fitting kitchen and bathroom. It was either “try and squeeze it in before” or cope with it and a newborn. Think we made the right decision but it’s making me so nervous. Luckily its stopping me think “please just come now” because the builders still have a few days left in them. I want to nest so badly!!!

Wet down there.... yes yes yes. I think it’s a bad pelvic floor. Guess that’s what happens when something pushes its head onto it. Thought my waters had broken the other day whilst walking the dog 😂

With reference to DD.... It’s raining all of this week anyway so toddlers all around the country will be tuned into peppa more hours than usual! Definitely not a terrible mama... giving her a sibling is great!

Lauren83 · 11/06/2019 07:02

Hope everyone's doing ok? I have had a couple of days of feeling like crap, been working and my 16 month old has been sleeping really badly, I finally relented and had him booked in an extra day in nursery today whilst I'm off work, I have never done that before he only goes when I work so I feel a bit guilty but I want to rest and do a big clean, wash all the beds etc. I think baby isn't back to back anymore as his movements have gone back to how they were, still got fanny daggers and a really damp feeling though.

I'm 37.2 today with ELCS booked for Monday 24th at 39 weeks, can't wait to hear some good news from one of us Smile

Capybaras · 11/06/2019 07:47

@Lauren83 I think that's completely understandable - I can't imagine how tough it must be with a toddler and being pregnant, plus working, keeping the house sorted etc. You definitely deserve the rest!
I'm still struggling with getting a decent nights sleep and can't see it changing anytime soon - my hips ache so badly I'm tossing and turning all night.

My baby's back to back too - what have you found has helped?

It's really exciting that we're near the end now!

Lauren83 · 11/06/2019 08:00

@Capybaras it's shocked me how much harder things have been this time round, a newborn is a walk in the park compared to a toddler, well mine was anyway I hope this ones the same! They told me to have warm baths and try to keep my knees to my chest/knees high as much as possible but if I'm honest I didn't do either much and he just seems to have turned himself luckily, I definitely feel more comfortable now he has
