I had my hair highlighted last week @PostiveThinkingRainbow and had it done throughout my two previous pregnancies. My hairdresser says it it fine as the colour doesn't directly touch your scalp, only problem is sometimes hormones can make colour react differently so they should check how it's developing more often.

YorkshireIndie · 26/04/2019 18:36

Anyone got any good baby brain stories? This week I managed to transfer a case to another area that did not need it and delete documents off a shared database. I had to ring and explain that these are the same documents and not new ones which would have caused work. Also the hormones are interesting. Can not hold my ground in a disagreement at work

Doop · 26/04/2019 19:25

It's not too bad but it's something I'm usually very careful about....after getting a knife full of marmite, I just took it across to my toast without scraping the excess, making a spidery trail of stickiness all over the oven and floor. It's the kind if thing I tell the bloke off for! He must be loving it!

HarryHarry · 26/04/2019 20:17

Is anyone else feeling movements? I’m 16+1 and I’m sure I’ve been feeling something for a few weeks now.

Also, is anyone else struggling with a toddler? Mine is SUCH HARD WORK right now!

SRK16 · 26/04/2019 22:49

I’m 16+6 and I thought I felt something yesterday but now I’m not sure if I was mistaken!

Doop · 26/04/2019 22:49

Can not even imagine this with a toddler! No movements for me yet...im 14 +5

newbabyyy2019 · 27/04/2019 08:04

Yes I felt the baby move for the first time 2 days ago when I would have been 16 + 3, it was like a fluttering feeling in my left lower abdomen that happened 3 times, no mistaking it and I nearly cried but not felt anything since.. Also I have a private gender scan today and I am so excited! Anyone else finding out what they're having?

2018isanewyear · 27/04/2019 08:26

I think I feel Flutters but can't be 100%sure yet it seems early. 15+6?

I purchased my first pair of maternity jeans yesterday and oh my god they are the comfiest things I have every worn, is it acceptable to only buy maternity jeans from now on..... pregnant or not!? I can't believe I waited this long!

Hope goes well at the scan let us know! We won't be finding out but having fun hearing all the theories/guesses of people

Doop · 27/04/2019 09:55

@newbabyyy2019 do this first and tell us if it gets it right!

newbabyyy2019 · 27/04/2019 10:50

Just done the prediction thing and it says it's a boy so we shall soon see..

Tizzytilda · 27/04/2019 10:54

Hey everyone! I'm due October 28th, making me 13 and 5. I had my scan yesterday and I'm soooo excited to meet this little one. Baby was asleep through the scan we think, which was a little disappointing because I wanted to see them waving and moving around. I guess I'll have to wait until 20 weeks! This is my first pregnancy, and I honestly can't believe I've got this far as I was so so worried something bad would happen (I admit, I'm an anxious mommy)

BabanOnTheWay · 27/04/2019 12:32

@Tizzytilda hi, thought i would say hi as im also due 28th Oct with first pregnancy also. We had our dating scan yesterday and the relief following it was amazing 😍 so exciting 😍

newbabyyy2019 · 27/04/2019 12:39

Well that prediction was wrong because I'm having a little girl 🎀😆

Doop · 27/04/2019 12:42

Haha! Congratulations! Did you have any inklings it was either gender?

newbabyyy2019 · 27/04/2019 13:05

Thank you 😊 well I had a feeling it was a boy for a long time but the heart rate has always been over 140 bpm and a lot of people said that if it's over 140 it's a girl so I started to thing girl after that!

2018isanewyear · 27/04/2019 13:19

Congratulations @newbabyyy2019 our babies heart rate has always been above 150 so wonder if we are having a girl too... we won't be finding out do a whole to wait!

HarryHarry · 28/04/2019 00:29

I think the fast heartbeat thing is meaningless - my son’s was always over 150. However there is a very slightly increased chance of having a girl if you conceive in winter.

abcriskringle · 28/04/2019 07:00

Congrats @newbabyyy2019 I have mine next weekend!!

Woolly17 · 28/04/2019 22:15

@harryharry yes! Also have a toddler, she is sooo clingy at the moment and she's not that light any more...

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 29/04/2019 20:26

Hi Ladies, I'm 16 weeks on Thursday.
I've had a feeling electric shocks in my cervix type area. Anyone else?

HJWT · 29/04/2019 21:28

15 weeks and having a BOY!! I knew all along but still been in shock all day 💙💙💙💙

Doop · 30/04/2019 08:56

@PostiveThinkingRainbow yes... I'm 16 next Monday and have felt period type creams and tiny sharp pains in the cervix. I also thing I'm feeling movements but that could be indigestion.....

newbabyyy2019 · 30/04/2019 17:55

Thank you 🤗
@KatnissKringle let us know how it goes!! 💙🎀 so exciting and it's the best feeling once you know!!
@HJWT congratulations! 💙

Doop · 30/04/2019 18:38

@newbabyyy2019 do you recommend finding out? I keep changing my mind.Confused

newbabyyy2019 · 30/04/2019 18:48

@Doop It's my first child so don't have a personal experience with waiting but other people who have waited told me that when you've given birth you're so overwhelmed with the baby actually being there that you don't actually care about the gender. I wanted to find out because I wanted a special day for the gender and a special day when the baby is here and I was told you'll bond better with the baby bump before they're here and I can honestly say since finding out I'm having a little girl It feels like finding out I'm pregnant all over again I already feel like I've bonded better with my little girl that's growing inside me because now it's not jump a 'bump' if you know what I mean..
