I got my first ever BFP this morning! Excited and terrified. I tested last Sunday, got nothing and resolved myself for AF to appear mid-week. No sign of her, had lower back pain, sore boobs, nausea and a quick dizzy spell and thought it was time to re-test! Got a ridiculously strong line (but will still be put getting a few more brands to make sure). DH and I have been TTC since around Christmas after I came off the pill - both 30. Obviously it's very early days but we're every pleased!

Anyone else due a first baby mid November? It'd be great to chat.

I got my first positive today at 10 dpo so due 22nd November I think can't stop doing tests

Chanel05 · 10/03/2019 08:55

Hi ladies :)
Feeling a bit tentative as I got my bfp today! 12dpo due 19th November.

KatieKat88 · 10/03/2019 09:28

Congrats ladies! I'd be due on 13th November if a 28 day cycle but not really sure of my cycle length yet - first since being off the pill was 34 days, last month was 27 days. So who knows!

Any symptoms?

Hi all,
I'm the same - tested on Wednesday after feeling sick and no sign of AF. Think I'm 5 weeks today and due November 😊 my boobs are soooo sensitive and I have been feeling sick on and off. Congrats all

KatieKat88 · 10/03/2019 10:04

Congrats Sleepy!

Congratulations to all 😊 I tested yesterday, 10dpo and got my first ever positive! DH is trying to not get excited until at least after my missed period, which I'm trying to do too - but can't help get a bit giddy! Keeping everything crossed that all goes well. I think I'm due around 19th November. X

KatieKat88 · 10/03/2019 10:52

Congrats Nell! So exciting!

Hi all, I got my BFP yesterday and confirmed it on a digital today. AF not due until tomorrow or Tuesday so I'm tentatively checking in. NHS website says due date is 19 November. I've done 4 tests so far and will do one more Tuesday then I'm stepping away!

It's our first month ttc so I feel like it's too good to be true. Sore boobs and nausea here are slightly comforting though!

Chanel05 · 10/03/2019 11:02

Congrats ladies! I have had sore boobs since Thursday which I rarely get. I'm due af on Wednesday so it's still early days. I'm 4+4 with quite a strong positive on a frer.

CurrerBell1979 · 10/03/2019 12:57

Congrats Currer! Did another test this afternoon - definitely positive! Now I need to decide what to do about my hair appointment next weekend - I normally get my hair coloured so would want the advice of my hairdresser in terms of hair dye, but don't really want to tell her this early!

@KatieKat88 I'm having the same issue! I was due a colour next week but think I'm going to wait now until after 12 weeks just to be on the safe side.

RobynC19 · 10/03/2019 20:52

I was just thinking this I will be 7+4 next time i need my hair done so thinking of hanging on aswell as get highlights and root colour

Hi All,
Hope you don’t mind if I join? I’m new to Mumsnet, but got a BFP over the weekend, due around the 12th of November, first baby. Got sore boobs over the weekend, a few dizzy spells and feeling nauseous on and off but don’t know if that’s because I’m excited/nervous!! Nice to be able to share on here :)

KatieKat88 · 11/03/2019 11:12

Congrats T1ff! My lower back is killing me today! I blame work. Rang the doctor earlier and they said to go in and fill out a form so they can arrange first appointment with a midwife. Scary!!

Thanks Katie!! Congrats to you (and everyone else) too!! Ooh that's exciting, I've been wondering when to call the doctors to get booked in - don't want to seem too much like an eager beaver. I've also been getting some cramps so presume it's all normal

KatieKat88 · 11/03/2019 16:18

I was a bit too eager- the receptionist gave me a form and said to bring it back when I'm 8 weeks 😂 they could have mentioned that when I rang this morning!

dottydally · 11/03/2019 16:27

@KatieKat88 I think it varies from area to area though! I called today (4+1) and was referred to the midwife service who have made my booking appointment for 4 weeks time!

I'm also incredibly anxious already. I'm considering an early scan at 7 weeks to check for a heartbeat but I know ill worry more if there isn't one/my dates are slightly out. Has anyone else though about early scans?

Chanel05 · 11/03/2019 16:42

Congrats @T1ff4ny !

I'm going to book an early scan actually. DH has always been against them when chatting casually about ttc but now we've had the bfp he's totally changed his mind.

dottydally · 11/03/2019 16:46

@Chanel05 when are you looking to book one? I feel like they're quite expensive for what they are (it's £80 for 15 mins here) but would put my mind at ease! DP is happy to get one if I want one but I don't think he is worrying like me.

Congrats @T1ff4ny!

T1ff4ny · 11/03/2019 17:07

It's strange how it's so different for different areas! I've just made an appointment with my practice nurse for next Tuesday for a midwife referral.

Hadn't thought about an early scan but I'm feeling quite anxious too so might look to see what the deal is!!

Still feels very surreal at the moment.

KatieKat88 · 11/03/2019 18:27

I think I'll call again in a couple of weeks just to make sure - I think they must mean to have a first appointment with the midwife at 8 weeks? Hope so anyway! I hadn't really thought about having an early scan. I think I'll probably hold off unless I'm worried - I'm getting enough symptoms at the moment to know that there's something in there!

OP posts:
Chanel05 · 11/03/2019 20:02

@dottydally yes they are about £80 here too. It's expensive right!! DH wants us to have one two weeks today so I'll be 6+6 and then he wants another at 9 weeks.

dottydally · 11/03/2019 20:11

@Chanel05 I'm planning to book one for exactly 7 weeks (the day before Mother's Day) but knowing us we'll end up having another!! I'm not expecting to see much but a heartbeat will make me happy. How are you feeling?

Chanel05 · 11/03/2019 20:31

@dottydally sounds great! Do you think you'll find out the sex? I've had really sore boobs but nothing else actually. Still early days though. Have you had any symptoms?
