First baby due mid November [Edited by MNHQ at OP's request]

I got my first ever BFP this morning! Excited and terrified. I tested last Sunday, got nothing and resolved myself for AF to appear mid-week. No sign of her, had lower back pain, sore boobs, nausea and a quick dizzy spell and thought it was time to re-test! Got a ridiculously strong line (but will still be put getting a few more brands to make sure). DH and I have been TTC since around Christmas after I came off the pill - both 30. Obviously it's very early days but we're every pleased!

Anyone else due a first baby mid November? It'd be great to chat.

Thanks ladies! I’ve got an app with the midwife on the 4th

LexieLoos · 21/03/2019 21:31

It’s so frustrating waiting isn’t it? I feel like I’m mistaken half the time!

I caved today and we had an early scan - I’m 6+5 rather than 8 like I thought, but everything looks good and we saw the heartbeat clearly!

KatieKat88 · 22/03/2019 19:07

@Avf88 mine is on the 6th! It's a home visit, which I didn't know was a thing! On a Saturday which is great because I don't have to say anything to work.

@LexieLoos that's exciting, glad it all went well!

No way! I wish that was a thing for me, the midwife was really arsey with me because she could only offer me 2 appointments (9 or 10am) that day and I was meant to be working and the next available day would be too late. I mean I know we are allowed the time off for it but I also don’t really want to get anyone suspicious yet Hmm

RobynC19 · 23/03/2019 07:49

Going to try stop testing now lol

KatieKat88 · 23/03/2019 08:06

Yes she was lovely, said that teachers are the worst to fit in as it's so difficult for us to get time off without school asking a million questions! I think it helped that we have a few weeks to play with as I'm only 6+3 - she offered days during the week next week first. I'd assumed it would be a case of you get what you're given so I was really grateful!

How's everyone doing at the moment?

I had some spotting on Thursday and some cramping on Weds evening - panicked immediately. I've been booked in for an early scan for tomorrow morning to rule out ectopic; seems silly now as there have been no other issues since. I've read that spotting can be common, but all advice suggested talking to a doctor. Feeling a mix of daft, like I'm making a fuss and hopeful that everything is ok and we may get to hear baba's heartbeat in the morning.
How is everyone else? X

Unsureursula · 29/03/2019 22:09

Best of luck tomorrow @Nell90x !
I’m good thanks, how are you all?
Well I am apart from the ever present nausea which strikes when I’m in meetings etc! Oh and the insomnia!

KatieKat88 · 30/03/2019 09:48

Hope all goes well @Nell90x - I had some spotting last Saturday too. Freaked me out but we'd had sex that morning so I think it was down to that. Wasn't much and didn't have any pain - phoned out of hours and a doctor said it's probably fine but to monitor and if there was any more we'd go from there. I've been fine since, some cramping over the last few days but more of a stretchy feeling than painful so I think that's normal.

I'm mainly feeling knackered - I told my line manager this week because I was worried it looked like I was unwell or unhappy and she's lovely so didn't want her to worry! She's happy to keep it quiet which is reassuring.

Anyone else ridiculously tired?!

Just got back from my early scan and everything is fine. Was lucky enough to see baby and even a heartbeat 😍
Oh dear @Unsureursula I hope the nausea passes soon enough! I hope everyone else is ok X

Nell90x · 30/03/2019 09:58

And yes @KatieKat88 tiredness is the main thing effecting me at the moment too. Could sleep and sleep! X

KatieKat88 · 30/03/2019 11:09

So glad it went well @Nell90x - it must feel more real now!

Thank you 😊 yes so real; it was just a tiny dot, but to know it was there 💕 also seeing the look on DH's face was wonderful X

RobynC19 · 31/03/2019 07:31

Happy Mother's Day everyone ❤️

Colleen437 · 31/03/2019 07:47

Morning all I’m new to this group. I’m currently 8 weeks today . Not had the easiest time how do you all stop worrying. I spotted at 5 and 7 weeks. I had an early scan last week they was a heartbeat but I have something called a septum ulterus. Pregnancy isn’t easy lol

KatieKat88 · 13/04/2019 07:05

Hi all, how's everyone doing? I've had my booking in appointment (midwife was lovely) and got my scan date through yesterday - 2nd May! Still don't quite believe it's real.

We're going to New York next week which I'm excited for but also knackered so a bit anxious - think I'll just have to take it slow (and eat loads!)

I saw my midwife Wednesday still waiting for my scan date to come through I'm also been referred to a consultant purely due to me been allergic to anaesthetic/ epidural. She said she thinks I'm a low risk pregnancy. Me and my husband have booked an early ultrasound for Friday just to look so excited we will be 9 weeks. Also I'm vomiting daily. How is everyone else any body else had an early scan if so how much could you see and hear ? Xx

Unsureursula · 15/04/2019 14:14

@KatieKat88 I’m similar to you- first MW appointment today and scan on 3rd May! Also heading to US in May so really hoping all will be ok!! Like you in hoping lots of food and taking breaks will keep me well!

KatieKat88 · 15/04/2019 16:35

@RobynC19 that's so exciting! Let us know how you get on.

@Unsureursula hopefully by May we'll be feeling a bit more normal?! If anything is particularly helpful I'll let you know!

KatieKat88 · 08/05/2019 21:15

Hi @RobynC19 I'm so sorry, I have only seen this and feel your pain completely. Thanks I have been avoiding the page myself to be honest as I found out on Easter Sunday that have had a missed miscarriage also. I knew something wasn't right and had things confirmed when I should have been 9w+ 3, but I was only measuring 7w+ 4. I hope you and your partner are ok and that you're getting all the support you need at this time X
