I got my first ever BFP this morning! Excited and terrified. I tested last Sunday, got nothing and resolved myself for AF to appear mid-week. No sign of her, had lower back pain, sore boobs, nausea and a quick dizzy spell and thought it was time to re-test! Got a ridiculously strong line (but will still be put getting a few more brands to make sure). DH and I have been TTC since around Christmas after I came off the pill - both 30. Obviously it's very early days but we're every pleased!

Anyone else due a first baby mid November? It'd be great to chat.

@KatieKat88 I’m good thanks- feeling much more normal now I’m almost 16 weeks. Just back from US holiday and so relieved it all went well and that my blue folder and travel insurance stayed in the safe!! how are you?

KatieKat88 · 21/05/2019 06:21

@Unsureursula glad your holiday went well! I'm 14+1 as they put me back a few days at my dating scan - still waiting for the less tired bit to kick in. I'm enjoying having people know now at least!

Hi guys can I join I'm currently 14 + 5 ..due 17th November.
Just wondering if any of ye suffered with any bleeding ? I had some bleeding at 14 weeks rang the hospital and they told me to come in and they did a scan and could see bleeding in my uterus but the baby was fine.

I was told that if the bleeding doesn't stop it could lead to a miscarriage as the bleeding would iterate the womb but that hopefully it would resolve itself. I have another scan next Monday to see how things are and I am so worried. I haven't had any bleeding since. This is my second baby and this has never happened me before have held off telling anymore people as I'm afraid it will be bad news at the next scan

PrayingandHoping · 24/05/2019 10:32

@AllRainbows I had spotting at 6 weeks and a week of brown spotting at 9 weeks with 2 bright red flushes that lasted 5 minutes. Was terrifying.

Both times I was scanned and mine didn't come from my uterus so they told me it was from my cervix.

Touch wood it hasn't reoccurred and I'm now 16 weeks

Really hope your next scan shows everything resolved

firsttimemum30 · 24/05/2019 14:04

hi ladies! i'm 13 weeks 4 days, due 25th november with my first. my sickness has gone but still so tired! i hope the rest of the 2nd trimester is easier as they say!

KatieKat88 · 25/05/2019 06:46

@AllRainbows your due date is the day before mine! I had spotting three times around 5, 7 and 9 weeks. Scary but it stopped quickly and was told it was nothing to worry about. 12 week scan showed a very active baby!

It's surely a good sign that the bleeding has stopped, hopefully that can help you get through the weekend - fingers crossed for Monday's scan Flowers

@firsttimemum30 welcome! I'm still really tired (14+5 today) - waiting for the 2nd trimester energy boost. I'd also like that pregnancy glow now please!!

Anyone been forced into maternity clothes yet? I now only have about 4 outfits I can wear for work on rotation because I look so bloated in most of them! It's a weird in between stage.

Hello!
Due mid November so 15 weeks currently. Still very tired, and no bump!!
How is everyone?

Preggers86 · 25/05/2019 10:03

Hi allSmile

I'm 16 weeks today due 9th November. Starting to feel more like my old self, no sickness, more energy, boobs back to normal. If it wasn't for my bloated bump or hearing little bean's heartbeat I wouldn't believe I was actually still pregnant. Just waiting now to feel those 1st flutters.

KatieKat88 · 25/05/2019 10:24

Can't wait to hear the heartbeat! Only saw it at the 12 week scan (still crazy though). Hoping to get a listen at my next midwife appointment, got to wait until a week on Tuesday!

OP posts:
PrayingandHoping · 25/05/2019 10:47

@KatieKat88 just a heads up they are phasing out listening on the heartbeat at 16 weeks. Apparently they often can't find it at that stage and it makes people anxious for no reason

Some areas are still (mine did!) but lots now aren't (have a read of the due nov 2019 thread 4)

firsttimemum30 · 25/05/2019 13:02

@KatieKat88 me too! I'm just waiting to feel energised enough to want to do something! lol Not sure I have any kind of glow yet either. I have constipation, headaches and dizziness already though whoo! :)

@PrayingandHoping I didn't realise so many areas had stopped doing the 16 weeks heartbeat check, mine is in a few weeks and not sure if my area still do it or not, do you just find out at the appointment?

PrayingandHoping · 25/05/2019 13:05

@firsttimemum30 seems so going by the due November thread. One lady had been told previously it was done and then that it wasn't anymore on the day.

KatieKat88 · 25/05/2019 13:10

Thanks @PrayingandHoping, I'll just do as I'm told on the day Smile good to be forewarned!

OP posts:
Preggers86 · 25/05/2019 13:18

@KatieKat88 mine said she doesn't like doing it because it can cause more anxiety as more often than not they cannot find one but she said as long as I was aware she would have a go. Turns out little bean was eager to be heard and even let me get a recording. So you can ask but be prepared for them to say no.

bearface45 · 25/05/2019 14:25

They didn’t do the heartbeat with my first until much later 20 something weeks, think it depends on the midwife but i’m not expecting it til later with this pregnancy either

KatieKat88 · 25/05/2019 17:27

Thanks ladies, I just assumed as I know other people who have heard it at 16 week appointments recently! Interesting how it differs from place to place.

OP posts:
KatieKat88 · 15/06/2019 07:27

Thanks to everyone who warned me about some areas not hearing the heartbeat at 16 weeks - mine didn't! So decided to have an early scan and found out we're having a girl! Really pleased to know and would have been happy either way.

Hope everyone's doing ok? Lots of back pain for me at the moment. Any different symptoms?
