Hello! I couldn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. I'm due on the 5th. My DPs 40th birthday!

Morning ladies hope your all okay,

They wasn't joking when the nausea hits at 6 weeks was they... I'm 5+6 today and feel dreadful!

TrashKitten10 · 10/03/2019 12:00

@LokiCat Hopefully and probably its nothing to worry about. The fact it was just on one wipe and wasn't accompanied by any pain is a positive sign. Try to relax (not easy I know!) and give the EPU a ring in the morning for some advice. Our bodies are doing lots of weird and wonderful things at the moment so I'm sure it's just another bodily oddity :) x

@PyjamasForever What's your normal tipple of choice? Could you fake it? Or the classic antibiotics excuse.

@thumper59 Poor you :( has it just started this morning?

SapphireK · 10/03/2019 12:01

How is everyone? 6+3 for me today.

Woke up with a mini freak out cause I was wondering where my morning sickness was today after 3 days of feeling terrible. Took my words and thoughts back when it reared up about 11am this morning.

@thumper59 yes that was exactly like me 5+6 and it all just hit hard. I had only had slight nausea before but it really stepped up on that day. I've found that ginger biscuits definitely help curb the immediate sick feeling and then I'm just left with light nausea.

Needadoughnut · 10/03/2019 12:02

thumper I've just started too... I've also started looking for a pram, early days but I like to budget!!

@TrashKitten10 yeah, well pre getting a positive I was feeling sicky and so tired then I've felt pretty much fine all this time but this morning and yesterday morning I woke up feeling awfully sick, not that I'm going to be sick just feel it. Feeling a bit faint and tired too. Also been getting headaches around 10pm every single night the last 3 nights. So weird!
@SapphireK thanks I'll try that! Yeah weird isn't it, I'm happy to be feeling something although can do without it haha.

@Needadoughnut how far are you today? Oh I don't blame you I've seen the pram I want i think already.. and I bought a baby grow 🙄 I bought it for ' a baby' as we've so many due and just born around us, but it was ours I had in mind, really

CurrerBell1979 · 10/03/2019 12:10

Morning! everybody else are testing like crazy rigth? :)
Been a bit bloated and felt like pressure symptoms which is hopefully the uterus growing, fingers crossed!

I am 4 weeks and 3 days today and took this test today and got a strong line again
Had a MC few years ago so am understandably nervous

am pregnant now after a IUI

Very strong line currer . I tested one last time this Thursday but I have now some peace of mind.

I'm exactly six weeks today I believe! I'm really not looking forward to being sick. I also just started going through my green book and reading the bits about breastfeeding. They traumatised me so much 9 years ago (making me feel like a bad mother because I chose to mix feed). I have an inverted nipple that simply doesn't work. I'm starting to get worried it will be the same this time around.

ChesMum2019 · 10/03/2019 12:18

@LokiCat take it easy today. I won't
Say don't worry because understandably you will. I have experience both sides. I will say with my miscarriages I had lots of back pain and cramps and zero symptoms. And the bleeding was red on and off initially like a like period then progressed. This time I have had brown spotting a few times and a scan to show all is perfect. So dont fear the worst. The fact it's brown is old so that's good. Sending you lots of hugs today. Is there no other unit nearby? Ours is open 24/7

Prequelle · 10/03/2019 12:56

Well I'm giving birth to The Ring so far lol.

Strong and fast heartbeat, measuring at conception date rather than LMP but only makes it 1 day earlier than before.

I also now know why I was getting one sided pain, bloody 3cm ovarian cyst!

ChesMum2019 · 10/03/2019 13:08

@Prequelle lovely scan pic. I too had that and glad it explained my left sided pain.

LokiCat · 10/03/2019 13:18

Thanks @TrashKitten10 and @ChesMum2019 for your words 💕 I'm going to try and take it easy today and keep a positive mind. Hopefully there's no more bleeding, but will keep an eye on it.

@Prequelle lovely scan photo. Must have been so nice seeing that :)

fireworkbaby · 10/03/2019 13:20

Oh good idea about the Facebook group. I would love to join too. I am still in the one for my 2 year old that was set up off the back of a Mumsnet thread like this and it has been lovely sharing the progress of our babies!

Sickness has started here the last couple of days (5+5 today) after being nauseous for the past week or so. So far mainly in the mornings though and feel better after eating something. I had really bad sickness with my first pregnancy though so a bit nervous about what's to come.

We are on holiday in Spain this week which is really nice to spend time together as a family but feel a bit bad that I don't feel up to doing much as I would usually. And can't enjoy all the food and sangria!

LG0914 · 10/03/2019 13:29

@LokiCat try and stay positive. Ive heard its quite common but always best to get checked. I've been bleeding since Wednesday, not spotting but similar to a period bleed. Has started to slow and be mainly on wiping. I'm currently 5+5, the last bloods/urine sample still came back as positive. Might give the dr a call tomorrow if it's still happening. All symptoms are still around and feeling more sick today. Fingers crossed.

Waitingformyrainbow · 10/03/2019 13:46

@Prequelle lovely picture! Please could I ask if the scan was done abdominally? I'm thinking of bringing mine forward but don't want an internal xx

Needadoughnut · 10/03/2019 13:57

Lovely father photo prequelle . Loki could you go to an early pregnancy unit?

Needadoughnut · 10/03/2019 14:02

Ignore the father bit!

PrayingandHoping · 10/03/2019 14:06

@Waitingformyrainbow I think early scans have to be internal....

Laurajp23 · 10/03/2019 14:07

Sickness has hit me like a train this afternoon!
Started about 1ish and just feel horrendous. Wouldn't mind but I'm only 4+3 wks! Hope this isn't a sign of things to come over the next couple of months 🙈

Waitingformyrainbow · 10/03/2019 14:18

@PrayingandHoping Thank you, I thought so, but a lady I know had one done abdominally at 6 weeks, I'm currently booked in when I'm 7+3

PrayingandHoping · 10/03/2019 14:20

@Waitingformyrainbow I was told (by a friend I will add, not a medical person!) that they struggle to see it so early abdominally before 12 weeks. I'd have thought your 7 week scan will be internal....

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 10/03/2019 14:41

Waiting - I don’t think it’s definite. With my previous pregnancies I had scans just after 6 weeks and both were abdominal.

Prequelle - yay for ring baby! I’m so pleased you saw a heartbeat! Congratulations.

I’m sorry lots of you are having stressful times with bleeding Flowers.

I attempted a run today and I JUST CAN’T DO IT. I got to 3km and that involved mostly walking. It makes me feel quite anxious as I really don’t want to gain as much weight as before and have a 10km to do in 2 months Sad.

Ruthsoph · 10/03/2019 14:57

I have also started to feel sick over the past week or so- like a feeling sick but not sick and past few days finding it hard to know what to cook as thought of some food make me feel sick but then suddenly I am starving - does anyone else have this? I have cooked a Spag bowl to tea tonight but thought of it makes me want to be sick and fancy a Chinese instead lol

Knickersononeshead · 10/03/2019 14:58

Internal scans depend if they can see anything or not abdominally first, which they will always try before an internal.

Prequelle · 10/03/2019 15:06

waiting it was abdominal! Very clear! The place I went to can see from 6 weeks and if they cant they ask you to come back 2 weeks later, no extra charge

Prequelle · 10/03/2019 15:07

Thankyou everyone

And loki I know how worried you must be, it's super common in early pregnancy and we get probably something like 20 phone calls a day about bleeding in EP and it's very rare it's anything untoward. Please just monitor it. Thinking of you xx
