Congrats and welcome to all the new ladies! 😊💕

amehh · 09/03/2019 09:36

Don't worry @Zarara, I started my job on 28th of Jan and my LMP was 25th so technically I've been pregnant since I started. I'll be in probation for 6 months so will have to say something and just hope they decide to renew me for the next school year (I'm a TA and fixed term until 31st August when they renew for September). You'll have been there for nearly a year by the time you leave so I wouldn't be too worried :)

Feelingsolow12345 · 09/03/2019 09:45

If I go by my last period I'd be 4 or 5 months pregnant haha.
I got sore heavy boobs the past week. Nipples are the worst, slight touch and in pain. Don't rememeber them being this painful with my son

Hayley89 · 09/03/2019 10:11

@Laurajp23 - oh bless you, I've been on that before and coming off of it wasn't a lot of fun! It's funny, I'm not sure how much of what I feel is in my head because I'm expecting to feel like it or whether it's actually a symptom. Pretty sure the crying jag for no reason yesterday was definitely hormone related!! Lol

@coldberries - I was thinking the same thing. Luckily I'm hungry enough to eat absolutely everything in sight!

ChesMum2019 · 09/03/2019 10:42

I'm feeling rather nauseous now. More so as the day goes on that first thing. Seems worse of an evening. I know it will just gradually pick up now over next week as well. I feel reassured somewhat by having the symptoms though. The only thing is I can't stop thinking about food. Not even good healthy food but carbs pizza pasta crumpets etc. Being a healthy clean eater this is not good Confused

PhoenixBird82 · 09/03/2019 11:58

@Zarara that what’s nagging me a lot at the moment.
I am about to start a new job on May 1 on a three-year contract. This job was a hard dream to get and I really want to keep it. By the time I start it I’ll be about three months pregnant. My plan was to tell the boss around August and to come from maternity leave after 8 weeks.
But I still don’t know what impression I will make with just starting my new job and rushing to have a baby straight after. And if they’ll take this whole situation positively and with understanding... I waited for this job for almost 2 years and the baby is an IVF success, so both things are very important for me.
Every situation is different and I can’t predict how they boss will react to the news. Many think your performance and priorities worsens once you have a little one. But my plan now is to try and combine two things.
But all this situation is worrying me

Hi all!
Joining here as currently PG with number 2. 🥳

I have PCOS and irregular cycles so not 100% on due date but using clear blue digital should maybe be due around 9th November, my 3 year old DD's birthday is the 7th of November so wouldn't mind if Due date ended up a little later! 😁

Only real symptoms are the occasional wave of nausea but no sickness and bone crunching tiredness come 5pm 🙈

Have midwife booking in booked 18th of March so just plodding till then.

Hope you're all well!

Knickersononeshead · 09/03/2019 13:41

Well I woke this morning to absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. I've gone from being sick practically all day for the last 2 or 3 weeks so nothing 😳

Knickersononeshead · 09/03/2019 13:41

To nothing*

Zarara · 09/03/2019 13:48

@PhoenixBird82 I completely understand where your coming from. My job was one that o had to accept even though I was hoping to have a baby. This is dc2 for me and I just know after maternity leave I’ll still be 100% committed but it’s just trying to get that across. Do you know what you’ll do for childcare? I was hoping to take at least 1 year off. I’m going to use all my kit days to attend all the team meetings to stay on top of things. I did this last time and it worked really well.

Laurajp23 · 09/03/2019 16:44

Just done the first proper food shop since finding out we were pregnant!
Looks totally different to our usual shop 😂😂
We didn't eat horrendously befroe, but we seem to have lots more fruit and veg now! 🍉🍏🍋🥦🥒

TwixPops · 09/03/2019 16:47

Hi everyone can I join too. I got my BFP Thursday morning on a poundland test and tested again this morning with a clear blue which came back with 2-3 weeks pregnant. Not sure due date as my periods were irregular due to only coming off depo back in June. We're both 35 and this will be our first. Not many symptoms so far.

HJWT · 09/03/2019 17:11

@TwixPops I think you add 2 weeks so 4-5 weeks pregnant x

TwixPops · 09/03/2019 17:38

Thanks @HJWT that's good to know. Smile

Prequelle · 09/03/2019 17:43

Scan tomorrow!

LokiCat · 09/03/2019 17:59

Welcome and congrats @TwixPops and @TickTockBaby. I've estimated my due date for 9th Nov, as well! 😊

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow @Prequelle! Excited for you!! 😊

Hope you've all had a nice Saturday :) Got my NHS scan appointment in the post today for 15th April, I think I'll be 11 weeks then. So glad I booked a private scan for 8 weeks otherwise I wouldn't be able to wait that long!
Not really had any symptoms today but not too worried as I've not had any bleeding or anything.
I was talking to my friend today about her TTC journey. Felt so bad not telling her about our news 🙈🙈 just want these weeks to hurry up!!

Prequelle · 09/03/2019 18:02

Thanks LokiCat! I'm excited but nervous. Im also terrible at holding a full bladder and there's LOAAADS of speedbumps around here.... ha

I feel the same as you, I feel like I'm wishing my life away but I feel like I'm I'm limbo. Every day nearly all day I'm thinking about the pregnancy- it's annoying me! I have an obsessive nature though so that doesn't help. And of course working where I do doesn't help coz I'm constantly reminded about pregnancy!

TickTockBaby · 09/03/2019 18:24

EDD twins @LokiCat 😁 hoping the midwife will refer me for an early scan after the 18th, so I can get a better idea of how pregnant I may actually be.

Ruthsoph · 09/03/2019 18:35

I am now 5+4 and today got my scan date through for the 29th April so I will be 13 weeks - does anyone think that's a little late? I am having a private scan when I will be 7 weeks but they don't know that so a bit miffed - do you think I can call and ask for earlier date? I had a MC last year on the day of my 12 week scan but the baby has died at 6.5 weeks so considering this I am miffed why they have put me in on my 13th week

Leleophants · 09/03/2019 18:42

I'm so sorry @Ruthsoph that must have been so upsetting. I don't even know what I'd do with a mc as my doctors are so useless as picking up the phone as it is. Plus it seems we have to wait so long to get any midwife contact!

My gp appointment took ages and now still waiting for midwife appointment and scan date. I'm 5+4 so will probably be ages.

Maybe it's a good idea to try and get an earlier scan?

Cegbee · 09/03/2019 19:09

@Ruthsoph my dating scan is also at 13+ weeks, it can be done at 11-16 weeks I think, but given your history it would definitely be reasonable to ask for an earlier reassurance scan.

PhoenixBird82 · 09/03/2019 19:19

@Zarara I think I won’t have such a luxury as staying long enough at home... 😔 In my case the solution will be probably to start as soon as I could, and even then I don’t know how they might react...
I live in France, and here they officially accept children in nursery from 10 weeks old. Sounds sad, but I think I won’t have a second chance with this job, so I have to go for this option...
I have to accept what will come complicated as it is.
How far along were you planning to tell your boss about your pregnancy?

Knickersononeshead · 09/03/2019 19:49

I've not even got my appt for my 12 week scan yet.

I'm wondering if I'll be offered a scan at one of my many hospital appts though, will see.

amehh · 09/03/2019 20:38

@prequelle what time is your scan tomorrow? Mine is at 12:40pm!

Mathsymummy · 10/03/2019 01:38

Hi ladies

I’ve not posted much this week. I’m quite anxious but trying to just take each day as it comes. I’ve got my first scan booked for 27th March, I’ll be 7+5 so hopefully that will reassure me, just 18 days to go. I’ve been testing everyday and the line has got nicely dark now so I think I’ll stop, or at least cut down to every few days.
