Hello! I couldn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. I'm due on the 5th. My DPs 40th birthday!

@Ohmarnie yes quite a few of us had/still have low level camping like we're due on. Quite common apparently.

OhMarnie · 05/03/2019 17:31

Ok thanks for the reassurance 👍 my boobs are sooooo sore I swear I say 'ow' like 20 times a day every time I accidentally bash myself with something or when DH hugs me 😂

PrayingandHoping · 05/03/2019 17:37

2x cyclogest take twice a day
Lubion
Prednisone (steroids)
Progynova 3 times a day.
Then tinzarapin sodium (as I’m allergic to aspirin)

Stay on all of that until 12 weeks!

Are u private or nhs? We are private

brighteye3986 · 05/03/2019 17:41

@PrayingandHoping oh my. That's a lot of meds! I'm on cyclogest 3 times a day until 12 weeks. We were NHS.

thumper59 · 05/03/2019 17:42

@TrashKitten10 I can't remember exactly it could of been notonthehighstreet or Etsy. If you google 'grandma to be' cards that's how I found them x

PrayingandHoping · 05/03/2019 17:46

Yep and 2 of them are injections 🤦🏼‍♀️

Fun fun fun! But so worth it if it works!

We are in the “unexplained infertility” category so I think they just threw the book at us.

Miller2 · 05/03/2019 17:50

@ohmarnie I had to get my husband to drive us to work (we work at the same place) just so I could hold my boobs if we went over a pothole or speed bump because they were so sore! They're much better now though so hopefully over a week or two it will ease off slightly x

HJWT · 05/03/2019 18:42

My sickness subsided for 1.5 days, currently led in bed needing to eat but cant move because I feel SO sick ! Someone help meee

Knickersononeshead · 05/03/2019 18:46

@HJWT I've started keeping packets of mini cheddars in my bed side drawer, they're helping loads

HJWT · 05/03/2019 20:26

@Knickersononeshead OMG I'm going to start keeping packets everywhere that is such a good idea 😍

Lozboz22 · 05/03/2019 20:31

@snowdrop yep it's weird almost feeling like you've been pregnant for ages but actually right back at the start again. I'm older too (38) and assume that was the contributing factor. I'm anxious just thinking about a scan. I'm debating having an early one around 8 weeks if all still well then. I haven't even phoned midwife yet and I'm not going to probably for at least another week, maybe longer. X

Mrsbaker80 · 05/03/2019 21:44

I’m 38 too, feeling it this time around, so tired. Nauseous pm/night time also hot flushes and sweating. Will have to try that trick of having snacks by me upstairs x

ally62442 · 05/03/2019 22:06

Is any one still doing test? I really can't help myself. I like to see my line get stronger. It seems to take that bit longer with me and it's never as bright as the test line till well after my period is due. I went to ASDA after work tonight and brought myself a digital test and pregnancy vitamins.

LokiCat · 05/03/2019 22:11

@ally62442 I'm trying to stop myself (saying that I was just debating doing one in the morning..). The line isn't getting any stronger/darker for me and I just keep worrying and googling more, which can't be healthy.
Good thing I've only got internet cheapies left as well. Going to try and not buy any more expensive ones!

LokiCat · 05/03/2019 22:20

Oh also, have any of you started any other vitamins/supplements? I'm still taking the folic acid + vitamin D supplements from before, but not sure if I should start anything else or wait to speak to midwife first.

LG0914 · 05/03/2019 22:36

I took two tests a few days after my period was due and they were both strong lines.
i've only been taking folic acid, haven't taken anything else yet. I really just want to hear from a midwife and kinda get the ball rolling with appointments etc. I think once i've had the first scan i'll be able to relax a bit more and start to enjoy this pregnancy.

thumper59 · 05/03/2019 22:44

I caved and got an Asda cheapy. It was still nice and dark even though my wee was so diluted so I'm happy with that hoping it's all good signs 🤞🏼

OhMarnie · 06/03/2019 06:22

I just did my second clearblue this morning and got a nice strong line 👍 we are all mental aren't we 😂

Miller2 · 06/03/2019 06:28

@Lg0914 @lokicat my midwife said the only vitamins I need to be taking are folic acid and vitamin d. Both are really important (so if you're not on vitamin d yet, start taking it as soon as you can). If you have a balanced diet you won't need other vitamins. Also avoid foods high in vitamin a as that can cause issues to the baby (liver, pate, spinach etc). I just got tesco vitamins dead cheap. She said not to bother with the branded ones as of you have a balanced diet they're just an unnecessary expense.

LokiCat · 06/03/2019 07:03

Thanks @Miller2 I'll stick with my Superdrugs ones which are folic acid and vitamin d in one.

I think you've all convinced me to want to buy another test to pee on tomorrow morning now😂

Lozboz22 · 06/03/2019 07:16

I'm still taking tests. I have a clear blue one with number of weeks to use Friday. I'm waiting until I get a 3+ weeks on it to try and help pinpoint dates a bit more.

tigsyboo · 06/03/2019 07:36

I'm taking Tesco's own version of pregnacare
Magnesium
Baby aspirin
Vitamin D spray.

I read that magnesium and vitamin d can only do good, and baby aspirin can help if blood clotting issues causing miscarriage- but they won't test until after 3! I don't want to risk another 2!! My GP said she couldn't advise it, but couldn't see why it could harm either.

I did the digital tests upnuntil seeing 3weeks on the digital (last weds - 5+0) then stopped. I do bbt temp though and keep an eye on my temp being above the cover line.

Symptom wise my boobs are a bit swollen and a bit sore, I'm a bit queasy in a morning, I go from fine to bloody starving in 0.8 seconds and need food immediately, and I'm knackered 95% of the tine.... but nothing MAJOR. Xx

Waitingformyrainbow · 06/03/2019 07:50

I'm also still testing, I got 3+ on a clear blue yesterday which made me feel a little better as I was exactly 5 weeks. Oh it's so hard not to continue, I've even ordered more frers! I'm also taking just folic acid, vitamin D and baby aspirin

thumper59 · 06/03/2019 07:53

Still no real symptoms today except I'm very tired! Boobs ache but not as bad. I've ordered another clear blue digi. I'm taking the pregnacare liquid as I just can't take tablets! Wishing this weeks to zoom by!

Needadoughnut · 06/03/2019 08:23

I'll take a CB just to check later on today.beleive it or not my DP is having pregnancy symptoms!!
